Did we miss the part where Biden's stance on Palestine is uniquely aggressive and oppressive even in the context/low bar of American politics. Alright, so let me help explain the backlash to your discussion.

Its NOT that you have a bad idea necessarily, FAR FROM IT!

I read your post, it has some merits.

Here's....here's the issue.

The original discussion was made...By Judgemental Critter, who then proceeded to get involved in a fixit fanfic male cast bloat and female cast shrinkage....and had Oscar's role taken...By Roman Torchwick.

So long story short, while you probably have some good points?

They've been tainted by those people and their videos.

My recommendation is first start by stating that you respect the strategies that M&K had, showing that you mean no disrespect.

And you should have people willing to at least hear you out initially rather than immediately shut you down.

So for what its worth, good luck.

Ahhh yeah I've heard of that one, along with other so-called 'fixit fics' that I just despise on general principle, precisely because I think RWBY is masterfully written given the resource constraints the team has always faced.

This is what I get for generally not wanting to research fandom drama and learn all the personalities involved, isn't it? Again, as always, I am front of the trenches on RWBY being a feminist show and loving it precisely because of how it respects and centers its female leads.

Also some of the negative reactions I was responding to were apparently not actually written with my thoughts in mind at all, so yeah I probably thought a bit too highly of my position in the blogosphere on that one 😅
