Hey! What do you think about joint announcement at presentation 13th February? A journalist from GgS has just written about it. I think it's a huge disrespect for Charles
I doubt that they'll take away from their car launch by announcing the contracts.
I don't really care if its a joint announcement (apart from about the obvious). Tbh with the difference in reported contract lengths it's if anything a disrespect to Carlos. Announcing a reported 5 year deal and reported a 1+1 (2 year with team clauses) deal makes the latter contract look even worse

2023 recap best races and pole laps iyo and why:
puh.. best race and I am obviously also biased was Vegas (which I would have never ever predicted) but there was a fight for the lead that wasn't super straight forward until the SC and because Ferrari finally had some actually good Sunday performance.
Pole laps.. definitely not Vegas because that was a shit lap lmao
maybe Baku for Charles because I wasn't expecting that at all for Max it would've been Spa but because of the grid pen it wasn't a pole

It's gonna be last race of 2024 the renewal announcement lol
I am so pissed off about the whole thing. EVERYONE KNOWS that Charles has signed and they are dicking around not announcing for what ever reason and it is getting weird.

Carlos hopes for +2 wins next season 🤞so Ferrari could be one of the teams...
tbh I don't think he is basing that on any specific knowledge apart from he has only one one race max in a season and so he wants to win 2 now.
but Ferrari did at least show towards the end of the season that they understand their car and that is promising even if it's changing a lot jsut because they can now avoid making the same mistakes again

Where would you place Norris on your personal 2023 best drivers list?
puhh hard to decide really. I would say he was in the top 5 but when their car was good he crumbled a bit and usually messed up in quali which I would say puts him P5 but honestly idk. I find Lando super hard to judge, I think next season will be really telling if they get a decent car together

peggio take: leclerc fold under pressure
don't people watch the races?
Worst take in your opinion?
either that one or the pole to win conversion but used without any context at all and thus used to justify Charles "constantly bottling" even though he himself lost like 2 of those wins but anyway

I hear a lot that Sainz as an older driver suits Ferrari's history better and that it would be good for him to lead
I'm so sorry but where did you hear that?
Because that is ridiculous.
Age is nice and great but it isn't what makes or doesn't make someone a leader. There is so much more to that. That depends on how you interact with your people, how you represent them etc and there is a stark difference between the two when it comes to that.
Just their reactions to Abu Dhabi alone say a lot.
Sure Ferrari lost the P2 elsewhere which was Bahrain pretty much with Charles DNF but have your immediate reaction to not getting the P2 after that was THE goal for the last couple of races is saying it was fair is a bit strange.
It's not necessarily wrong but a strange choice for an immediate public statement considering to what lengths they went to get the P2.
Also the constructors standings matter to the teams mechanics etc because they get bonuses etc. And Charles reaction of it's sad because they would've deserved it because they worked their arse off is much more of an actual leader statement.
Apart from the fact that Carlos has a tendency to focus blame on the team when he himself cost himself more like n Austria where he blamed the pitstop when he got 15s in track limits penalties.
Anyway, leadership is about much more than age and Fred saying Charles is the leader they've needed says more than I could.

Lol at least he was able to keep the lead longer than 1 corner
Is this Singapore was better than Vegas for Ferrari car performance wise?
because ok, not like Carlos didn't have any help in Singapore apart from the fact that you can't overtake in Singapore.
Anyway, Singapore was great because it was a win.
But Vegas was much better car performance wise and is much more important for the future in terms of development because keeping up on pace and being on for a win until a SC is a much more important, relevant and positive sign for the future.

I don't know why but I think that in 2024 Sainz will change for the better, approach and everything
I would like that. But imho that would less happen because he wants to and more because he has to.

Apparently John Elkann has confirmed Sainz is staying at Ferrari :(
People are reading way too much into this.
Obviously idk what is and isn't happening.
But that was a press conference for the Exor Investor day. Exor is the company that amongst other things owns Ferrari.
Elkann isn't going to say anything of substance about current SF drivers there. This was about the most non answer he could give without saying no comment.

Obviously the rb was really fast this year. But people talking about how crazy it was that Ferrari and merc were fighting for p2 with tractors really seem to forget that the other cars are worse than "our" tractor. Obviously it depended on the tracks, on some the ferrari was like the forth or fifth best bit still. The alfa romeo sucked the entire year. The haas same. The alpha tauri was good in the 3 last races. Alpine had crazy reliability issues and pace wise were very inconsistent. It's not like there are great seats available on the grid
exactly.

You say Ferrari understand their car now but Charles mentioned they were changing it next year to be more suited to his style so won’t they have to start from the beginning again? I know the new floor update has helped and is staying I think but will the wider set up window and stuff like tyres be able to be transferred over too?
that's hard to actually know because I have no clue what they are changing and how.
But, the important thing is that they learnt what worked and what didn't work and even with the new floor it took them a little bit to know how to set it up and to make the best of it.
and even if the parts change a lot of the principles can stay the same. So if they know what the new floor did in terms of downforce etc then that can definitely be transferred.
Understanding what principles allowed them to have the wider operational window is also something that can be transferred.
Knowing what definitely didn't work and why is also a big thing.
the 2024 car won't start in Bahrain and be perfect and win everything. we have to be very realistic about that. They will most likely still take some time to fully figure it out as always.
But the signs are very promising. it's always better to have some understanding of what works and doesn't work and why even if you are effectively starting over than having no clue.

2 more years until a new champion
probably yes
But I am ridiculously hopeful for Ferrari. not championship hopeful but they finally understood their car. the Suzuka upgrade didn't make the car faster as such just gave it a bigger operational window and on 2 very different tracks Ferrari were able to stay with RB on the mediums.
There is still so much work to do but that is a good base to have.
A lot of the others I don't think get their car or the regs to that extent yet (RB obviously excluded)
