actually. you know what. i have a big blog. i have like, 11k followers. i can make fetch happen. i was just thinking "man i am so glad i've been catching more good fics while browsing the hermitcraft tag lately; fewer of them than normal are getting buried. i wish i had a way to get more fics faster." and then i realized I CAN MAKE THAT HAPPEN.

anyway so. what if we DID have a hermitfic tag. it can just be #hermitfic or #trafficfic for trafficblr, maybe? unless other community members have better suggestions i will boost that also. not as like... a tag for people to filter out, although i guess that's a side-effect too and it's totally fine if people use it like that, but because I WANNA READ MORE FIC ON TUMBLR DAMMIT. and if i have a specific tag to add to the tags i'm following that will be much easier.

whatever we decide on i'll start throwing on my fics too. and if people think this is too much of a pain i'm not gonna force anyone, but like.

captainsparklez’s relationship with the queer community is so funny to me. his ally energy is so unbelievably strong that at this point he’s just honorarily one of us. both of the kids he has decided to “adopt” are queer. not only is his entire fanbase in the lgbt community but also like half of his closest friends. he has transed genders that scientists don’t even know about yet. he is unaware of approximately half of these things.

ok not mcyt related but not gonna lie of all academic fields the ppl who scare me the most (besides physicists and astrophysicists) are geology folks. like I generally can read less-difficult academic papers in history, philosophy, anthropology etc. without too much background knowledge and find them mostly comprehensible despite not actually studying any of those things, but even the most basic geology papers are always incomprehensible. geology is the only subject ive researched outside what I study that i have ever had to leave google scholar and go back to regular google in order to find something that I could actually understand. I can read Michael Foucault without fear and yet I am terrified of sedimentary rocks.

#thats also not entirely true i am afraid of foucault because post-structuralism kinda breaks my brain #but i get what he was basically trying to say

Third life in 2024 wasn’t on my mind until I started reminiscing on all the unrealized concepts I had for a Third Life novelization with pretty in-depth world building and backstory that I never really got to see through because of circumstances but. Yeah.

okay so there's this motherfucker called Legundo on youtube okay mcyt. He does these 100 day minecraft challenge videos, more often than not, they're modded.

there's lore. There's over 20 of the individual videos, and they're all horribly long. Why is he like that. I love it.

He has also condensed these down into 2 supercuts, of parts 1-10 and parts 11-20

Part 1, 1000 days in the minecraft multiverse, is 11 hours long. There is lore here. I have watched all 11 hours of this first supercut. I have learned things and I'm frothing at the mouth with curiosity. There is lore. The lore is vague, non-specific, and also sparse. That did not stop me and now here I am.

Part 2, 2000 days in the minecraft multiverse is NINETEEN HOURS LONG. What the fuck is wrong with this guy. I want to study him under a microscope. the first video of his I watched was 2.5 hours and part of this series, and that is how I ended up down this rabbit hole. but NINETEEN HOURS sir your EDITOR(s) (I only know he does not do them himself, or at least did not for a period of time, because there were snarky editor comments on one of them.)
