What’s Your Design?

Have you ever wondered what’s your purpose or what is your role here on Earth other than just being a parent, a friend or working a regular 9-5? What is this journey called life and what does it entail? Why would God, the Creator of the universe have a creation without function? Would HE dare do such a thing! We all have asked what, how, and why questions, but can never grasp a specific understanding. You know that you have something on this Earth to do; you have a purpose, a reason for your existence. The Word of God says that were predestined, chosen for greatness! Romans 8:29-30 KJV states, “For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.”

When we think about the creation of the Heavens and the Earth, we imagine how things were before God began to speak words into existence. The Bible described Earth as being void and without form. It was dark and gloomy as being in a hole that has been covered up. Earth was in a death state because its purpose in existing had faded or had become defiled [Genesis 1:2: The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the front of the waters]. Your divine purpose is the depth and the base of your existence. Your Purpose is married to your existence. One cannot be without the other because they create a balance.  I know you’re probably asking yourself “Doesn’t purpose and existence mean the same thing?”  The answer is no. Merriam-Webster defines Purpose as the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists; have as one's intention or objective. We define Existence as the fact or state of living or having objective reality; or a way of living. The two complement each other. For you to exist, there MUST be a purpose to your existence. Nothing, No-body merely exists without reason, a goal. Everything created is created to serve in some form or fashion that is beneficial to the glory of God. The trees give oxygen; produce various fruits and nuts, offers shade and shelter from the elements, to name a few. Man and woman were created to not only inhabit the Earth but to care for and nurture everything within it; to reproduce and populate to develop societies that would praise God forever more. Everything created has a perfect function. Ephesians 4:16-From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
