A, K, M for the fan fic writers ask meme please :)

A: Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

My answer will be different depending on when I'm asked this, but right now I think my favorite is Midnight in a Perfect World (Alex Keller Werewolf AU). It has the largest and most involved lore of anything I've written, and I like how I wrote the main and supporting characters for it. I also feel like that range of emotions the audience experiences throughout the story is more of a rollercoaster than my other work and I like a good emotional rollercoaster.

K:  Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?

I'm unusual in that I don't associate shame with any topics in fic. Any reservations or hesitancies I might have are prompted by my desire not to make others overly uncomfortable or possibly triggering them without proper tags/warnings.

Similarly, western women often feel compelled to order a salad when the eat in public because they fear the judgement of others ("...she's too fat to eat regular food, but look she's being sooo good, she's eating SALAD..."). Pfft. I eat what I want to eat. I'll make hard eye contact as I eat my delicious chicken fried steak.

When it comes to fic, I read what I want to read. I like what I like and I reblog what I want to reblog. Anyone who wants to judge can slide off the back of the truck before our next stop, so to speak.

There are no guilty pleasures--only pleasures. And they are legion.

M: What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with?  Did it turn into a story?

I wouldn't call it weird, but I believe my most unusual idea for a fic was my three-way fic Tessellate. What makes it unusual is that I didn't add a lot of the fantastical elements that are often employed in group sex fic. I tried to make it as plausible as possible since (to me, anyway) the more plausible the scenario the hotter it is because it could really happen.

J: What's your favorite fanfic trope? Have you written it?

My favorite trope is soulmates. I love a good soulmates story. There's so much potential, so many ways it could go! I have in fact written soulmate stories, just not yet for CoD. I did a whole series of them back for the Pedro Pascal fandom, for a follower celebration. Those were a lot of fun.

N: Any fic ideas brewing that you'd care to share?

Oh I always have ideas brewing. I think most of them have been mentioned... except for my most recent one.

I'm still figuring out the details, but it's a Sci fi story, with the 141 in space. I haven't figured out exactly what their job is yet, I'm thinking either security or hunting. But strange things start happening, especially around Soap. He meets someone who shouldn't be on the ship. Who isn't, technically. The ship doesn't register another person on board, no alarms go off. Yet Soap can see her, talk to her, touch her. At first he thinks he must be going crazy, but she knows things she shouldn't. Tells him to be careful on their next mission, the one where Gaz and Soap both almost die. And after that, well. He has to find answers, find out what's going on.

V: Are there certain comments you've received on your stories that have stuck with you?

Oh absolutely. Many. Any time someone says I've done a good job with characterization, that's a big one for me. Or if someone says they enjoyed a certain twist, or something made them feel a certain way.

There is one comment I received on AO3 that I think about a lot. This person said they'd never commented on a fic before, but they had to leave a comment on this fic, because they'd read it twice and planned to read it again. They enjoyed the whole thing, thought I did a brilliant job with the characterization and plot, and just had to tell me. I was moved to tears by this one. I think often of that reader, and hope they always find the fic they're looking for, with a perfect drink to go with.
