I wonder how the creators of TAWOG themselves would portray the humanization of Alan? No, I'm more interested in whether they would have added his hands or would he have remained disabled? I am seriously tormented by this question.

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you ... But I just wanted to say: Have I really found a man who also loves Larry from the Amazing World of Gumball ?! Just ... It turned out to be amazing news for me, heh. I always thought that Larry is not popular among fans of this animated series, but noticed how other people love him and even sympathize with him. Well, I’ll probably ask, because it's Ask anyway. x) What attracted you to this character and why do you love him? Forgive me again for disturbing me.

hi, dont worry about it! i love larry a lot and love to talk about him :) ever since I started watching the show I just fell in love with him I guess? hes always trying so hard and getting so little in return and i guess i have a natural affinity for characters who are kinda the punching bags lol, (its why i love rob too, hes one of my other favourite characters, he just cant catch a break) i just want things to be okay for him and protect him? on top of that theres just something about his design i think is really cute. hes got awkward long limbs and anxious hands and a very cute face. also his nervous energy is really sweet!

also a bit more personally, i very much relate to how he feels in terms of feeling stressed and depressed. while its never outright stated i think its not a huge leap to suggest he has depression (heck, in The Schooling they basically called out how hes having an existential crisis about how much his life sucks ;u;) and i naturally cling onto characters like me. its nice to think about those characters working thru those issues as a sort of cathartic thing

i could probably write an essay about why i think he has really interesting character potential but really its a mix of that and ‘i just think hes cute’ and both of those points? Valid

Did you see Alan in the first season? I hate guy, who did THIS TERRIBLE FACE. It feels like they made these smiles from the same stencil. A horrible, ugly, disgusting, horrendously vile stencil.

To be honest, Larry from the first season scared me … Seriously, he looked scary!  This dirty and stone skin texture and a strange smile … Maybe this is the reason why the creators decided to change its appearance from stone to origami, although I’m not sure about that.

OMG, am I not the only one thinking about this? 0_о

It seems to me that these two characters are united by one thing, both of which are very important for the city of Elmore.  Remember the episodes of “The Pizza” and “The Faith”. They have a pretty similar plot: a minor character throws all the work / disappointed in everything, and Elmore is destroyed / becomes gray.  The main characters notice this and go to these characters to apologize to them.  And it’s getting good. Larry holds the entire economy of the city, and Alan brings good to Elmore.
