Let us not forget the fact that had our current 2024 language been present in 2010-2016, a LOT of the stuff we used to consume via TV and Youtube would be considered "cringe" by our current standards.

The 'the newer generation bad!!' jokes died a long time ago, why is gen z pissing on gen alpha? 'Oh they're cringe!!!' they're kids, don't act like you wouldn't be seen as an absolute cringe lord in your childhood as well. Isn't gen z supposed to be the cycle breaking generation? Explain to me why we're doing the same shit older generations do to us, then. Childhood is supposed to be fun, and if alpha does skibidi toilet role plays on the playground why do you give a shit? so like yknow what??? People tell you to avoid “smirk” and “chuckle” as descriptors because no one does those things (???) but then when I need to use those words I have a ten minute crisis about how I’m a shitty writer. So heres my unwarranted writing advice: If you want your characters to smirk and chuckle fucking let them and don’t let anyone tell you that no one smirks or chuckles because I do both on a daily basis whenever I tell a shitty pun, bye
