one of the good things to come from s2 is that the rachel and leah hate campaigns have come to a halt like maybe it’s cus i try to keep my wilds fandom interactions at a minimum but i haven’t seen people picking apart their every action— calling leah insane for struggling with mental illness and constantly villainizing rachel for EVERYTHING, especially the fact that she struggled w anger issues (funny tho bc people didn’t lash out at toni the same way hmm wonder why that was). in fact, i’ve seen an increase of edits of them compared to last season, especially rachel. i was in the trenches fighting for my life last year fr

wilds fandom is annoying as hell just chock full of people who don’t understand critical and nuanced thinking that get mad anytime someone shares their opinion. with every post ab an opinion towards s2 there are 10 posts saying “i’m sorry but yall are miserable if you don’t like (whatever ur opinion is) don’t watch the show” like my GOD some of you are dumb as hell do you just sit through television with elevator music in your head cus no way you thought nothing was wrong w s2 and it’s writing

i think people that are okay with nora’s absence in season two are forgetting that she’s a MAIN character, a very very crucial part of the plot. so her not being in s2 except for a really small cameo doesn’t make any fucking sense. fuck all the secrecy around her character they could’ve let us think she was truly dead for 1 maybe 2 episodes and that would’ve been enough. there was so much they could’ve done with her character this season despite her not being on the island with the girls. the couldve shown exactly what happened after she was taken from the island, how she felt about her sister losing her hand and thinking she was dead, the role she played now that she was off the island and what gretchen was doing with her, how she felt about the operation at this point and if she was starting to see through gretchen’s manipulation, present day at the bunker and how she was doing knowing her sister was in the same building and she couldn’t talk to her, what gretchen’s plan was when she finally had to say “surprise your sister actually isn’t dead.” like the writers room had time to include a graphic SA scene but can’t even give a full minute of time to one of their leads? a lot of time was wasted on one dimensional characters who aren’t near as complex and as interesting as nora and the season lacked majorly because of it.

if it doesn’t bother you that’s cool, but it does bother me. and toni IS butch we’ve seen her in multiple outfits outside of the island as well as her outfits in the island nothing ab her is femme. i’m very well aware it was shelby’s dream but this really has nothing to do with shelby but rather the writers. they could’ve done the exact same sequence without feminizing toni. also shelby’s not dumb i feel like she’d be able to gather from what she knows ab toni that she’s not feminine, but again, it’s the writers fault.

i haven’t seen anyone saying anything about this scene and it really bugged me. why is toni, who is a BUTCH, in a full face of make up and feminine clothing? idgaf if it was just a dream sequence or whatever it was totally unnecessary and it stems from the fact that people don’t find butch lesbians beautiful. so having a fantasy scene where a butch lesbian is feminine is so dark sided because lesbians don’t need to be feminine to be beautiful. it’s just really weird thing to do and i don’t like the message behind it at all.

i see people saying we shouldn’t be pinning shoni and leatin against one another but just like any other aspect of the show we should be able to criticize it and if they can write one sapphic ship well they should be able to write the other so i’m not just gonna blindly adore something because it’s representation like i still ship shoni but it’s sm better in theory

i’m disappointed in shelby and toni’s writing this season i feel like the writers banked in on the fact that they were so well liked and got even more sloppy with their writing towards them. if you’re gonna do a fast burn ship you have to do it correctly otherwise it becomes very lackluster and that’s exactly what shoni was. no development just vibes. everything feels so rushed with them. leatin is definitely the most compelling ship on the show with the best writing and development. from not caring about each other to being enemies to being friends to understanding each other. fatin taking leah for what she is and understanding leah’s mental illness and not judging her for it but also not babying her. being such a steady person which is what leah needs. theyre so intense in such a soft and loving way and it’s insane to watch. leatin is such a complex ship and i wish shoni was given the same treatment cus they’re very one dimensional and it’s upsetting because they have a lot of potential.

Rachel was so amazing this season she had such good development. dealing with the assumed death of her twin, her journey with faith, giving up control through faith, seeing her bond with Leah, and ultimately becoming the rock for the group. Reign Edwards is so fucking talented she portrayed her so well this season

i’ll never get over how accurately they portrayed anger issues in the wilds, so often in female characters anger issues are written to be overtly one dimensional— only giving them sassy one liners and leaving out the complexity of anger issues and the emotions behind them so it’ll be more digestible for people who’d rather not view women like that. the wilds showed the build up prior to an outburst, the trying (and often failing) to deescalate, coming down after exploding, the guilt, the shame, the frustration— making it clear that being angry does NOT feel good. it’s not cathartic and its not pretty, it’s emotionally and physically draining. and both toni and rachel were written so well that while some scenes are uncomfortable and you can tell when they’re in the wrong or they fucked up, neither was ever demonized or written as irredeemable.

The children of Gaza live in a continuous humanitarian crisis, with no clean water, little electricity, poor health services, and food insecurity.  For 30 years, PCRF has been on the ground providing a variety of direct humanitarian aid programs for thousands of sick and injured children in the enclave.

These include sending hundreds of injured and sick kids abroad for free medical care, sponsoring hundreds of international volunteer doctors and nurses to go there each year to treat children and train local doctors, building Gaza's first and only pediatric oncology department, and running several different humanitarian programs and projects on the ground.
