... i wanna write headcanons, so send me things so i can meta and get back to roleplaying this muse.

     so i’ve been playing around with the idea of CANON DIVERGENT rika for quite some time. after all, anyone who had the chance to talk to me OOC will learn that i absolutely despise the way rika was portrayed throughout the course of the game. from unrealistic brainwashing devices to the unnecessary use of the bomb apartment—- there really was no love for side characters in the game. in fact, each one of them were all portrayed as vindictive and evil characters just to support the multiple love routes in the game (except driver kim lmao). but in any case, while rika was literally designed to be unstable and… for a better word, evil— the poor portrayal of her mental illness was another trigger card for why i intended on writing for this canon diversion.

      so let’s begin with MINTEYE. canonly speaking minteye was a religious occult hellbent on spreading rika’s ideals to the world. the amount of power minteye harness throughout the years, pretty much rivals jumin’s own financially capability ( they were able to steal his cat before his men could—- that’s some mad skills right there ). however, because of the games constant inconsistency with minteye character; it is pretty much brings that misconception that minteye was always evil. however, because people forget that rika is a HUMANITARIAN— they fail to realize that it is likely that minteye could have been intended for something different.

      let’s forget about the game storyline for a moment, and focus on the rika that everyone in the RFA knew. the rika that often volunteered with yoosung, the rika (with v) that save and encourage zen with his musical career, the rika that jumin, himself, inevitably fell in love with. throughout the game she was seen as an ANGEL, the one responsible for the creation of the rfa. therefore my canon diversion is that minteye, the predecessor of rfa, was designed to be something similar. she had intended on using minteye to make the world a genuinely better place. however, what if something went wrong? what if she made the group so big that she lost control over it and was force to leave? either way, the stress of loosing minteye and the death of sally—brought out the point where she INTENDED on doing suicide. the bomb (as much as i hate this mechanic) was probably use to end minteye and herself; however because v interfered with her suicide, she became enlightened to the point where she transformed minteye into a RADICAL group. 

       although i originally intended on removing her mental illness card ( i hate the fact they legit shipped her off in alaska .-. ), i decided to DOWNPLAY it. which means my rika, for the most part, is well aware and even accountable for her actions. her rise to power by reclaiming minteye and ultimately becoming the savior, proves that she is exceptionally brilliant and even merciless to a fault. of course, i want to strongly emphasize that RIKA ISN’T EVIL. in fact, beneath her radical movements she does intend on doing good for the world. in her eyes, this is justice. the brainwashing mechanic in this game is something i will dismiss entirely because rika is highly persuasive and charismatic. she doesn’t need to force anyone to believe what she does, because it is likely that those in minteye were already swept away by her ideal. A WORLD FREE FROM CORRUPTION, FROM REJECTION, a beautiful PARADISE is all she needs to transform minteye anew.

        another diversion i want to make is that my rika STILL carries platonic affection for everyone in the rfa. which means, people in minteye are not permitted to harm or even touch them—- this obviously includes v. her power in post game, ultimately surpasses jumin—and hence, it is likely she still has each one of them within her spectrum. she is WELL inform about everyone, and that includes the MC herself. in fact, it is my personal headcanon that the MC was designed to bring the RFA with her to minteye by rika. after all, the MC does carry the traits rika, herself, highly valued. she is pure, kind, and everything rika was before her enlightenment.  of course, the miscalculation was that luciel fell in love with the MC and hence causes a huge disturbance in her and saeran’s plans.
