“Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized men, we didn’t have any kind of prison. Because of this, we had no delinquents. Without a prison, there can be no delinquents. We had no locks nor keys and therefore among us there were no thieves. When someone was so poor that he couldn’t afford a horse, a tent or a blanket, he would, in that case, receive it all as a gift. We were too uncivilized to give great importance to private property. We didn’t know any kind of money and consequently, the value of a human being was not determined by his wealth. We had no written laws laid down, no lawyers, no politicians, therefore we were not able to cheat and swindle one another. We were really in bad shape before the white men arrived and I don’t know how to explain how we were able to manage without these fundamental things that (so they tell us) are so necessary for a civilized society.”
— John (Fire) Lame Deer Sioux Lakota - 1903-1976

The fact that Dante created the most popular image of the afterlife with absolutely no theological basis for it will still be the funniest thing to me

claim: zuko is a theatre kid
evidence:
- “they butchered ‘love amongst the dragons’ every year”
- remember when he was playing with the knife iroh gave him and he pretended to get stabbed and dramatically fell on the ground
- perfect impersonation of azula and iroh. you know he practices when he’s alone
- “im never happy”

Reminder if you want a She-ra movie you need to get on IMDb (link here) and give the show a 10/10 review and review all the episodes 10/10 too. Even if there’s over 100k tweets asking for a movie, the networks and studios look at the ratings and reviews more and right now it doesn’t stack up Bc it only has 6000. So everyone has to get on there and review ;) there should be like 40k reviews at least.

“What is it that the child has to teach?
The child naively believes that everything should be fair and everyone should be honest, that only good should prevail, that everybody should have what they want and there should be no pain or sadness. The child believes the world should be perfect and is outraged to discover it is not.
And the child is right.”
— Rabbi Tzvi Freeman
