shared this on my other blog but it's really important, especially for me
Things You Need to Know About the Outgoing Introvert
1. When we see you after a long day, we might be all irritable and not want to talk
It has nothing to do with you. Outgoing introverts, though still introverts at their core, often need to recharge after a large use of social energy. After a long day of dealing with people, our social batteries are drained and we need to unwind and recover, usually alone.
2. We’re charming creatures and can be the life of the party, but…
You’ll be surprised how much we actually live in our heads. People often confuse us for extroverts, but we’re too introspective and over-think too much to be one.
3. If we like you, we really like you.
We don’t waste our time with people we’re not completely crazy about. If we agreed to go on a date with you, we like you. Take it as a huge compliment.
4. We have times when we’re weird with our phones.
Some days we can talk for hours, but sometimes we’re not so good at replying and talking on the phone. Don’t take it personally - we screen our phone calls, even from our closest friends. Outgoing introverts sometimes hate the phone because it’s all, like, intrusive and tears our minds away from whatever we’re deeply focusing on (and we are always deeply focusing on something). Our mind doesn’t change direction easily. Listening to one thing and seeing something else is a lot of sensory input piled on top of everything that’s already going on in our heads.
5. But don’t worry, in person we’ll listen to you for hours.
We have spectrums of introversion, so we’re good listeners. We’ll always be naturally in tune with how you’re feeling, so we’ll be able to see through any front you put up and make you jump into the deep end.
6. We need to dip our foot in the pool first.
We need time to warm up, so, like, chill. We tend not to outwardly express our feelings and spill our whole life story in the first hour of meeting you. Or the first year.
7. Our energy level depends on our environment.
Yes, we can get annoyed easily. If we vibe with the crowd, we can get our energy from human interactions. But if we don’t, we’ll start to get really introspective and reflective, and tend to withdraw into ourselves. It’s kinda like a hit or miss. We’re very selectively social. But it’s not because we dislike people - it’s actually the opposite. We dislike the barriers like small talk (which often comes with going out) creates between people, and try to avoid it at all costs.
8. You’ll think we are flirty with everyone.
Okay here’s the thing, when we inevitably have to interact with people, we make it seem like there’s nothing in the world we’d rather be doing. It’s ‘cause we’re, like, overly sensitive and so we go out of our way to make other people feel comfortable and happy. We’re intuitive and outgoing at the same time.
Research has found that introverts pay more attention to detail and exhibit increased brain activity when processing visual information. A study shows that the brain of an introvert weighs internal cues more strongly than external motivational and reward cues.

☆how to care for your carer☆
with a lot of suggestions out there of how to care for the kiddo, still, caring can be mutual, although maybe not in the same ways. a lot of carers are also mentally ill, sensitive, traumatized, and anxious; just like the kiddos.
(aside for the carers: you need to learn to take care of yourselves, before you can take care of your tinie properly)
communicate
you say what you need, encourage the carer to communicate what they want or need. tell each other if you have a bad day. try to be honest and theyll be honest back
send them reminders
like little messages that you love and appreciate them too. carers also need to remember that they are completely adored
reasonable sleep time
it can be hard to push for when “youre the kiddo” but still, its possible to make the carer promise to go to bed. use puppy eyes, or nag if needed
self care
washing up is also a tough one, but if you try the way of “unless you do it too, i wont do it” it might work. if you can see your carer face to face, maybe ask to wash their hair, or bring them lotion - they will find it adorable and itll make them feel cared about
spoil them
if not with material things, then with crafts like a drawing or a coloring page, or with affection. (if you can get them something like bath bombs, or lotion, it might help with the self care point)
cooking
a good way to make sure an evil witch didnt curse the apples is to help them make a meal. maybe, if youre big enough, make something for them - if you are ldr, encourage them to cook something healthy and yummy
reign back the attitude
sometimes it gets hard for the carers to deal with fussiness, so try to be a bit more complacent with the reasonable little things. this shows your carer that you trust their judgement
make caring for you caring about them too
it can be subtle - like holding their hand during a monster check, or protecting them from a storm in a pillow fort. make sure they know you care about them too
dont be selfish
consider the carer, and their needs, and their feelings. they are human too. all the tips on tumblr usually go to a lot of extremes that are not okay in real world & relationships - never force your carer into anything theyre not comfortable with. dont get upset when they dont comply your every will. treat them like you want to be treated
take time to know each other
if you are in a relationship outside of regression, get to know each other and do different things. give each other time to rest and grow
love them and be nice

“How do you make these?”
It’s a question I’ve been getting a lot since I started posting photos of the custom diapers I’ve been working on. While the various printed diapers for the AB market are great, a lot of us would love diapers that feature our favorite characters - and if you’re willing to put in a little effort it’s pretty easy. The trick is plastic party table covers - they’re super thin, sturdy and if you look around you can find most popular characters and themes on them (mommies and daddies, this is a great way to match your little’s diapy with their actual birthday/holiday party supplies) Here is a step-by-step guide that should let everyone make their own - hopefully you were paying attention during arts and crafts!
Full disclosure: I was initially inspired by this Tumblr post, but did a variation on the idea that is a little easier and yields more diapers from each table cover: http://abcubs.tumblr.com/post/97335227154/photo-1-so-people-have-asked-for-a-how-to-video
I’m going to lay this out in 3 parts, since Tumblr limits how many photos can be in one post. It’s a lot of reading, but hopefully all the details should be helpful - remember, anything worth doing is worth doing right.
Step 1 - Gathering Supplies
This might look like a lot, but you probably have half of this stuff around the house already or can find a cheap solution. Only 4 of these things need to be continuously bought and the eventual cost is less than a dollar extra from a plain diaper unless you’re using an expensive cover.
You will need: * Plastic party table covers ($3-10) - you can find these in the party section on many stores, if you have a Party City in your town you’re in luck (the internet can fill in the blanks, of course, but it can get expensive too.) How many strips you get from one cover depends of the design, I’ve gotten as many as 14 and as few as 6.
* Diapers (Cost Varies) - preferably all-white and without a preexisting landing strip. I’ve used Dry 24/7s every time so far and it’s what I’d recommend.
* A hobby knife and replacement blades ($4-15) - X-Acto knife, etc. You might be able to use a box cutter or razor in a pinch. Make sure you replace the blade often, a dull blade will tear the plastic.
* A solid cutting surface ($0-30) - I recommend getting an actual cutting board at an art supply store (or amazon) to help with layout, but a large kitchen cutting board or clean piece of cardboard work also. (This should go without saying, but don’t just cut on the floor, you’ll ruin both the table cover and your floor.)
* Plastic tarps ($5-10 a pack) - you can find them in the paint section of most hardware stores. Spray adhesive gets everywhere, especially the floor. If you’re able to work outdoors you may not need them, if you plan to work inside DO NOT SKIP THEM.
* Spray adhesive ($6-8) - you can find this at most hardware stores (I’ve seen it at Target also.) I recommend 3M’s 45 spray adhesive, it holds well but allows for some fast readjustments. Always use in a well ventilated area, don’t lock yourself in the bathroom and try to do this when your vanilla roommate is home - if somehow you can work outside it’s best.
* A ruler ($1-8) - should be the length you want the front design to be, 16" should work for most. Make sure it has high enough sides to draw the blade along easily.
* A board ($0-15) - roughly the size of a spread-out diaper, you’ll clip the diaper to this to keep it from moving while you lay the strip down. I use a TV tray, it works great and keeps everything at standing level (more on that later.) A finished or sanded board is preferable to raw wood.
* Spring clips ($5) - these will hold everything onto the board, make sure they have soft covers on the tips to protect the diaper plastic. If the board you’re using is thin enough, clothes pins work too.
*Painter’s Tape ($5) - this will help keep the table cover in place while you cut out the designs. You can also use it to keep the plastic tarp from moving. In a pinch this can be skipped.
*Painter’s Mask ($5) - Spray Adhesive is airborne, best to not inhale a bunch of it.
* A large cardboard box ($0) - roughly 20x15" but any size that’s larger than the design should work. Save the box from your next shipment of diapers.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the inside of the box is fairly clean, any dust or dirt from the box might cling to the spray adhesive and stick to the design. If in doubt, wipe down with a lightly damp towel and let dry.
* Paper towel roll ($1)
* Adhesive remover ($5) - Goo-Gone, etc. Mostly for getting glue off your hands.
*“Junk” clothes & shoes - don’t wear anything you care about while using spray adhesive just in case.

Is there anything you own that's special to you?

- Kitten
“My collar is, of course, very special to me, but so are other things I’ve had. We had decided to skip the Consideration collar and go straight to the Training collar. Our relationship was not purely pet and Master, if things didn’t work out we would still have been together happily.
My Training collar was a cheap, black, velcro collar. We didn’t want it to be important, as it was just a try out for us, but it’s still highly special to me and I keep it in a safe place.
Later, I was presented with my Formal collar. While it looks plain, it was picked to be so, as Master knew I would prefer this look. It’s pink, buckle clasp and is softer in the inside for my neck. The tag is a heart, to both represent and, as a reminder to I and others, that this relationship is healthy and loving. It is not abuse as many may think.
I personally am alright wearing my Formal collar in public, but not always and many times it’s inappropriate. For this, I have a Public collar, plain but beautiful, a thin silver chain with a small silver heart.
I love all of them, but naturally my True collar is the most important to me.”
- Artist
I don’t actually remember the real name of what public collars are called, can anyone refresh my memory?
