Thought I could have some fun redrawing a lotr screenshot with my hobbit designs and this was a delight, will definetly be doing this again.

Only issue is that they aren’t quite the heights I imagined for these characters, but I can live with that. Pippin’s not holding his sword because I couldn’t get the posing right, but he’d definetly be the last to draw his anyways lol.

((Also well aware that they look different to the canon of the books/wouldn’t have tails, but what’s the point if I don’t have fun with these?))

Instead of movies, we get a series. book = season, chapter = episode

Some of the hobbits (including Frodo) have Irish accents. [Maybe? I'm not sure, but somehow it makes sense right now, let's say it would be up for consideration.]

Frodo is done right. He was so sassy and badass in the books, what happened? I swear the Peter Jackson movies are a big part of the reason some people hate him, many good aspects of his character were toned down by the scenes they cut out. He also didn't take any slander towards Samwise Gamgee.

More affection between Sam and Frodo (the scene where they reunite in Cirith Ungol, "But I love him, whether or no").

More songs! Frodo doing a little music number in the tavern, Sam singing in Cirith Ungol, etc. Maybe not every single song would make it, but I'd totally add a few other tracks.

Gollum is more humanoid (hobbit-oid?) and has longer, ticker hair. This is implied by the books in some scenes. For example, there's a point in which Frodo seizes him by the hair, and another moment in which he's described to look a lot like a hobbit (albeit a very old and tired one).

Overall, more book accuracy.

The credits song for the very last episode is "Thus Always to Tyrants", by the Oh Hellos.

Post-credits scene/Bonus episode in which Sam goes after Frodo (which is kind of canon). This is where they kiss.

It's about time Frodo introduced Sam to his parents! Thorin, being stubborn self, absolutely refuses that his son gets courted before he turns at least 100 years old. Bilbo on the other hand is absolutely delighted that his son is courting the son of his dear friend Hamfast Gamgee. But this doesn't help with Thorin's heated response to this. Frodo was furious and arguments continued on for days before Thorin agreed to get to know Sam. Not even an hour later Thorin is already giving his blessing. Frodo thinks Sam survived by pure luck while Bilbo believes it's Hobbit charm. Also I think it would be very funny if the term dating used in the first drawing is like slang used by kids. Thorin being old and all doesnt get it and Bilbo thinks its very amusing.

Btw I have to apologize if the quality of my art worsened, school and work have been tough but i am determined to give you all content!

Depends on the day, if it's a work day, my outfits are pretty nondescript, but I do think people who know me would be able to spot my non working outfits. I am three only person in the area who has combat boots with hot pink soles tho.

If your regular everyday clothes* were put on a mannequin, and placed in a group of other mannequins that are dressed in regular street clothes of your region, could the people who know you spot the mannequin who is "you" from clothes alone?

*if you are of an unusual size or build, assume for the sake of this thought experiment that they've found clothing items that are otherwise identical to yours, but able to fit to a standard mannequin
