training season ✪ a starter for @choihanse 2300hrs

Yeongsu forgot that there was going to be a new guy working his shifts at the convenience store with him. That is, until the guy shows up on Friday night, introducing himself and setting Yeongsu ablaze with a doe-eyed look of expectation.

Although in retrospect, he just sort of looks like that.

It takes a second for his memory to click, and he remembers his manager warning him of this.

"Oh. Right. I'm Song Yeongsu." he says softly with a slight nodding bow, embarrassed that he'd forgotten. The glittering little gems this guy has for irises freak Yeongsu the fuck out, so he tries to settle his gaze on the guys lips, watching as they move before his pointed teeth to produce words, but something about how roundly they move makes his tummy tumble, so he ends up focused on the constellation of beauty marks that decorate Hanse's jaw, or the curious helmet of hair he's got. His name is Choi Hanse, and Yeongsu takes a moment to weight that name in his mind, imagining what it might feel like on the tongue, pushing back against the urge to at least speak it under his breath a couple of times.

"I forgot you would be showing up tonight. Although...I guess the vest should have been a giveaway." he says with an exceptionally polite smile, glancing through the windows for a second as he speaks to watch a trio of young women pass by, Hanse's face still too unfamiliar to linger on.

Yeongsu kind of liked being on his own, truth be told, but an apartment building had gone up nearby and university students had decided that this particular block was hot real estate, so the store has been unusually busy lately. He's definitely found himself overwhelmed at points. So as much as he wasn't looking forward to having to panhandle for small talk with this dude, he was looking forward to having him around during the sporadic bursts where every late-teens boy in a five mile radius decided he needed banana milk or twilight ramyeon.

"He...didn't really tell me. Have you worked in a convenience store before? I know I'm meant to train you, I'm just wondering where we should start."
