Develop: 

Before I used the product perfume. I decided to experiment with playdough. The playdough was very hard to shot with since it was half full. The colour of the bottle was very see through of the part where it didn’t have play dough and you could see right through where the playdough was half full. It was making it harder to shot and looked aesthetically pleasing also due to the tub being so low and small it was hard to get it so eyelevel with the camera without the camera touching the ground. I started with a white background, and I found this product stood out more. I had the iso at 100 as I find it the best for product shoot. Using anything over two fifty when taking product shots with a black background doesn’t develop and it will just come out as black. As it is just to quite of a shot. I used the two key lights on the shot for the playdough, found that it was the perfect balance with the tub with the lights being on both sides making the product the main focus of the shot. When brainstorming I originally was just going to put the product in the center to be the main focus but then decided to try at the side as I was going to photoshop the logo in later and found it looked very professional and still eye catching on the poster.

The Proposal: 

I have chosen to do my product shot on perfume. Cloud by Ariana Grande. It is a perfume bottle in the shape of a circle with a cover it sits in which is a cloud. She describes the smell as a fruity scent. It has lavender blossom, bergamot, and juicy pear as its main ingredients. The creation is inspired by optimism and hope. She said it is her autistic expressiveness of happiness and positivity to her fans. The target audience is mainly for teenagers as that is her majority of fans but still has audiences as young adults Aswell that would purchase this perfume. It is quite a young scent so her pre-teen fans would also buy as it is a very fruity, young scent. In this advertisement, I used a dark background with. a blue gel piece over the key light. Which went with aesthetic of the bottle since it was a stained-glass blue bottle. I originally took photos with a white background but found that the cover of the bottle (the cloud) blended to much with the white background and looked m=better with the black background. Found that the black background made the poster for the advertisement look more professional. So, the final props I used for the final product shot was just the two key lights, the blue gel cover and the black background.

This is a poster pf Zendaya for IDÔLE from lancôme. I like the color contrast. The colours of this poster are soft on the eyes and blend nicely. I like the placement of the bottle in the middle of the poster to capture and be the main focus of the poster

This is a campaign for Versace. 2021. IT has Mona Tougard on left with Hailey Bieber on the left. I love the bright colours of this campaign and how it all blends nicely.The colours draw your eyes in while still keeping a nice simplistic look, not overstimulating you.
