Since it's make-a-wish kind of day, I would like to make 7th wishes tonight (I just think about this a moment ago):

I wish, I bravely face all my anxieties, fears, and doing what I've been dreaming to do

I wish, I explore various places in Japan and another cities/countries I'm interested in, comfortably and safely, whenever I want to, really enjoying my time there with good health

I wish, I learn more, experience more wonderful things

I wish, lovely encounters that are going to come in my life, will be heartwarming connections and treasures

I wish, I contribute more in helpful acts and living in harmony with nature

I wish, I have my own happy lovely heartwarming home

Anime Movies - Seishun Romance Edition

When I was younger (seven to ten years ago?), I tend to read any kind of stories (not gore, horror though), especially those with good reviews. As I'm getting older, somehow I become less interested in romance as main story/plot. I like romance, it's adorable, exciting, heartwarming. I guess, I just become much more selective particularly with romance.

When I was making a list of anime movies I like to rewatch, other than works from some popular directors, there are some that I also considering to rewatch once in a while. Then I realized that they have seishun romance as a big part of their stories. Here they are~

Koe no Katachi 聲の形 (2016)

I really like Koe no Katachi manga. The anime movie is very nice though I vaguely remember after I watched it, I felt, agh it's not that as impressive as manga. Growing up with regrets, past mistakes, and how they handle those. Mending hearts and relationships. Self-loathing. Characters personalities and their growths. Koe no Katachi is compelling. Those X on faces of people around Ishida Shoya also relatable. Love story between two main characters, Nishimiya Shouko and Ishida Shoya, is lovely. Even though romance is a big element, there are a lot to ponder about (other than romance) in this story, and maybe that's why it lingers more. I think I will rewatch this after I reread the manga.

Koi wo shita no wa (恋をしたのわ) by Aiko is a well-match as theme song.

Josee to Tora to Sakanatachi ジョゼと虎と魚たち (2020)

I watched the live action movie of this story years ago (great casts and theme song), the ending was quite heartbreaking which I thought this anime movie would also have similar ending. I was ready for it but turned out it's not. It's sweet~! Finding your true self and not giving up hope. This anime movie has some beautiful scenes, I like Josee's room!

I really like the ending song, Ao no Waltz (蒼のワルツ) by Eve.

Kimi no Suizou wo Tabetai 君の膵臓をたべたい (2018)

I watched the live action movie first some time ago, it's so heartbreaking (the first movie I watched of Kitamura Takumi and he's very good), and yet I was still a bit excited to have my heart breaks again when I knew they're going to adapt it as anime movie. Emotional journey and bond between two seemingly opposite characters. When I first knew about this story, I initially thought she might be passed away later because of her disease, but damn that twist. Life really, it can be taken away at anytime, unexpectedly. The title 'I want to eat your pancreas' and Sakura's journal 'Living with Dying' (共病文庫 Kyōbyō Bunko) also thought-provoking. That moment when Shiga Haruki said "Can I cry now?" really ;;__;;

I really like the ending song Shunkashuto (春夏秋冬 haru natsu aki fuyu) and insert song Himitsu (秘密) by Sumika.

May there be many more captivating, wonderful, thought-provoking, encouraging, beautiful stories we can watch in this lifetime~

Anime Movies Rewatch Selection

Even though I still have quite a lot to watch, there are times when I feel like I want to rewatch. Especially when my memories about it starting to blur more and I want to feel that feeling again. Here I tried to make a list of some anime movies I would like to rewatch~

Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome 夜は短し歩けよ乙女 (2017) and Inu-Ou 犬王 (2021) / Masaaki Yuasa

I often get attracted with something surreal. Masaaki Yuasa's movies are like an hour and a half ride into someone's mind that makes me bemused and mesmerized. Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome is eccentric and since I enjoy Youjouhan Shinwa Taikei quite much, it's great to see them again~ Storywise, perhaps they skipped some (or a lot?) parts of the book (I haven't read it yet), it might be not a whole experience but still fun to watch! Inu-Ou is interesting, cool performances! Though I may need some time before I rewatch because the ending is heart-wrenching, it's not that surprising considering that era often has tragic stories, but still, there is a lingering feeling that I need to be prepare for. Mind Game (2004) also interesting (weird) movie that I may considering to rewatch. The visual of Masaaki Yuasa's movies are interesting. Maybe, when I just don't feel like thinking of anything, I will find myself rewatching them.

Paprika パプリカ (2006) and Tokyo Godfathers 東京ゴッドファーザーズ (2003) / Satoshi Kon

Satoshi Kon's movies are must-watch! Though his movies that I will rewatch are Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue (1997) and Sennen Joyuu (2001) are very good too. His storytelling, the surrealism. Even though I probably will not get a happy fluffy feeling after rewatch, his movies somehow stuck on my mind that I can't help myself from thinking about them when I want to watch something fascinating.

Kimi no Na wa 君の名は。(2016) and Byousoku 5 Centimeter 秒速5センチメートル (2007) / Makoto Shinkai

Other than the recent one (Suzume), I have watched most of Makoto Shinkai's works and my top favorites that I want to rewatch are Kimi no Na wa and Byousoku 5cm. The first movie that makes me interested to watch Shinkai's upcoming movies is Byousoku 5cm. It's slow at first half or perhaps 2/3 of the movie? I was a bit sleepy in the middle but still want to continue, and that last part, it got me awake. 'One More Time, One More Chance' started playing and I couldn't get off my eyes from screen even for a second. Mixed emotion, all came at high speed. Those lingering feelings. We can stay in contact no matter how far we are now, but that period of time, the distance, and that point when they passed each other. Life. Then, there's Kimi no Na wa~! I have rewatched it pretty soon after first watch, maybe because it gave a good feeling at that time. It's delightful and beautiful, a phenomenon of love story that transcend time and space. I like what Taki wrote in Mitsuha's hand when they're about to be separated.

Bakemono no Ko バケモノの子 (2015) and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo 時をかける少女 (2006) / Mamoru Hosoda

Mamoru Hosoda's movies can be enjoyable or quite boring for me but I often interested in watching his movies. My top favorites that I want to rewatch are Bakemono no Ko and Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo. I also may considering Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (2012) when I am in the mood for something emotional and family. I remember watching Bakemono no Ko was fun, though my memory of its story already blurred. I also remember that Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is nice and bittersweet. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo probably the first time travel anime I watched. Since it's been a long time, I want to rewatch them someday.

Heisei Tanuki Gassen Ponpoko 平成狸合戦ぽんぽこ (1994, Isao Takahata), Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi 千と千尋の神隠し (2001, Hayao Miyazaki), Mononoke Hime もののけ姫 (1997, Hayao Miyazaki), Mimi wo Sumaseba 耳をすませば (1995, Yoshifumi Kondo) / Studio Ghibli

I have watched most of Studio Ghibli's movies~! My top favorites are Pom Poko, Spirited Away, Mononoke Hime and Whisper of The Heart. I might rewatch other Ghibli movies for their wonderful background art. Heisei Tanuki Gassen Ponpoko is adorable and entertaining but also has a heartfelt message. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi is the first Ghibli movie I watched, it's enchanting. I also like Kaonashi when it become a good spirit, it's adorable. Mononoke Hime is captivating and I like forest, Kodama~! I am attracted with stories of humankind co-existing with nature. Mimi wo Sumaseba is lovely and I like their nostalgic vibe. Other than these four, I may considering to rewatch Omoide Poro Poro (1991) too, someday.

Hope I have time to rewatch all I want, in between my to-watch and to-read long list 👁👄👁

Amusing Reread - Romantic Comedy Edition

月刊少女野崎くん Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

A very enjoyable read, perhaps it has much bigger portion in comedy than romance but when the romance moment appears it's so adorable, heart flutters 😳🫶 Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is likely to be the first that pops up in mind when I think which romcom to casually reread. It's very fun to read, they have amusing adorable characters and pairs. From all characters I think I have a soft spot for Waka the most, I'm not sure why though, the most adorable? uwu

My most favorite pair is Seo Yuzuki & Wakamatsu Hirotaka~!! The most interesting, very adorable and hilarious! ���😍 I enjoy reading about them a lot. I always get (the most) excited when it's their turn in the story. They always make me laugh and I look forward to their romance development the most among all pairs. When all pairings become couples, it's very likely that Seo & Waka will be the couple who make my heart thrilled and joyfully dance.

I also like Mikoshiba Mikoto & Nozaki Mayu interactions a lot, (I guess they will not be a pair .w.) they are cute and amusing. Hori Masayuki & Kashima Yuu pair is charming and delightful. Sakura Chiyo & Nozaki Umetarou (main pairing?) development seems to be the slowest though they are also funny, I wonder how their relationship develops. I also like their side couple, Seo Ryousuke & Miyako Yukari, they are amusing and I'm glad they start dating in recent update~! I'm excited to read more of them. All pairings in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun are amusing and delightful~

I wish they would have continued adapting all manga chapters in anime, anime was too short ;-;

癒し系 iyashikei

when thinking about iyashikei there are two that pop up in my mind, they are Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi. I need some iyashikei manga and anime from time to time to keep me somewhat sane in between. Here are some iyashikei anime/manga I enjoy (not in particular order)~

slow and beautiful, maybe I will rewatch this when I have some relaxing time, or read the manga.

ばらかもん Barakamon

Though it's been so long I don't really remember, I feel that I had fun watching Barakamon~! I might rewatch it soon or start reading the manga when I need something chill and heartwarming, and maybe, a little push to move forward.

君と僕。Kimi to Boku.

School-setting story of 5 boys that has iyashikei mood~! I like all of them (I like twins yuta-yuki the most) and I remember I enjoyed watching their stories long time ago. Heartwarming, funny, seishun!! I want to read Kimi to Boku manga soon, since this series has ended I want to know how their story continue, also I kind of miss them 🥺

しろくまカフェ Shirokuma Café

when I was about to watch this I thought whoa this series is long, can I keep watching this till the end. But then I watched it everyday and enjoyed it quite much~! Shirokuma Cafe has many characters and some of them are fun to watch. Panda is so adorable~ it caught me off-guard at that one sad episode of panda, I didn't expect there would be sad moment too.

田中くんはいつもけだるげ Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

I wish I can be like Tanaka-kun 🥲 I enjoyed reading Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge quite a lot. It's calming and fun, likable characters (Tanaka-kun blessed with good friends) and nice moments. I actually wish for Tanaka and Shiraishi to be together as a couple by the end of manga 🥺 I want more of them~

同居人はひざ、時々、頭のうえ。Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue.

I watched this at the beginning of this year, thinking 'let's see some cuteness of cat and human' but what I got was a heartwarming story ; ; I want to read the manga soon (hopefully)~ Subaru's parents are really nice ;__; I got inspired by Subaru's mom ⁠—those plants in their home garden, seeds from various places they visited on holiday, it's really great, I wish I can do that someday.

That's all for now, I guess. There are few iyashikei I want to try watching but haven't yet >< (so many on my list to watch and read) Hope we will have more heartwarming iyashikei works to enjoy, that may become a little healing to get through the day. I hope I can read more watch more this year~ with my own pace.

two consecutive seasons of delights

クールドジ男子 Cool Doji Danshi

Cool doji danshi has finished airing this week, it was 6 months filled with adorableness~! Ichikura Hayate, Futami Shun, Shiki Souma, Mima Takayuki, Igarashi Motoharu, are all so cute! Their little daily clumsiness often makes me smiling 🥰 Their interactions, heartwarming friendship🫀✨ They also voiced by very nice voices that suit them well! I like all 5 cool doji danshi voices but three of my favorite voice actors are there (Uchiyama Kouki as Shun, Kobayashi Chiaki as Hayate, Furukawa Makoto as Motoharu) which made me more delighted when watching them~ I think I have more soft spot for Hayate and Motoharu (all 5 are so adorable), also Shiki Souta (Souma's aniki) 🫶 I really like their ending songs sung by their voice actors, especially the 2nd ending たいせつ.

In episode 24, that Shun and Souma 'accident' on the beach and when they took picture together with hanabi, were cute funny moments I replayed 笑 nice final episode 🥹. It has been an adorable little delight once in a week for 6 months, I'm going to miss them~🥺

Fear

I always prefer outdoor/on location setting more than inside a studio, but if they're going to make it in studio, this music video of Fear is very nice. It suits the mood of the song well and the focus on distinctive expressions of each members is captivating.

A10TION

A10TION (read: attention) MV is exciting and adorable~! It's a very nice music video to celebrate for Kis-My-Ft2 10th anniversary, there's festive mood and they put various elements from their 10 years journey (props from previous music videos and live) which makes it more meaningful. I also like YES! I SCREAM music video which has similar festive vibe~

Two as One

Though those cars are kind of "?" this MV is beautiful. I really like their dance parts (pair dance is so lovely). I particularly like that part when they move on boxes, wearing white suits with those lights on them, it's so beautiful.

君を大好きだ

A type of music video I usually like, one with story and outdoor/on location setting~! Kimi wo Daisuki da music video is adorable 🫶🏻 Actually I'm not that into a story where several boys liking one girl but watching Kisumai together always feels really nice and heartwarming~ this music video is longer than usual too🫰

HUG & WALK

First overseas shooting for music video~! In Singapore, 2019. It's fun to watch them having fun together! I wish they will have more overseas shooting and make the most of it (this mv could be much more but it's fine, first try).

Rebirth Stage

Their black and white outfits here are so kakkoii~! Their movements too, I really like those scenes when they're together. It's great but camera work is a bit dizzying. I want the steady (not much camera moving) dance full version ; ;

Their black and white casual suits set, dance movements, this music video is so kakkoi~!! It's too short though ;-;

I want more rock Kisumai!!! They really kakkoii with rock style ❤️‍🔥 4 members wore too much black here though +_+ that harsh 3:4

Probably music video with roller Kisumai I like the most for now~ Roller skate is one of their big charms, it's challenging but hopefully we can still see them with roller from time to time, safely.

Inside train, only one setting, but it's very fun to watch! /that/ Miyacchi's part is hilarious (be ready on 2:30) ; w; Tama and Nika デコ出し really kakkoiii~~!!

Smokin' Hot

やんちゃなKisumai! Their angles play(?) is interesting. I'm not fond of paripi (パリピ) style but watching yancha Kisumai is always a delight✨ Shake It Up music video too, they somehow give a cute feeling? 🌝 but also kakkoii (of course) Tama's visual in Smokin Hot is veeeryy good.

It's great that they also made various kinds of music video like recording video, lyric video and animation video~

Luv Bias -- very lovely song and their visuals are so good but what's that CG??? ; x ;

想花 -- I feel this MV could be more heartwarming if it's on location (that studio vibe also kind of cold?). More developed story/short stories would be more touching.

I wonder whether they will release an album in 2023, it's been quite a long time since last album release. Hopefully they (their creative team) will explore their MV more and make wonderful works.

Kisumai pole at the beginning of Kisuumai is sooooooo adorable!! I really like watching them doing it in their live concert even though it's quite challenging. This song is fun but the MV is another トンチキ MV of Kisumai 笑

I love sorairo ; ; The song and lyric are so lovely, I really like Tama's part in this song, especially on the last chorus: "ずっと忘れないよ君とただ見上げた空". Nika's part: "どんな景色もどんな色でも全て愛しくて" followed after Tama's part, I really like these 2 parts.

感じるままに輝いて -- Another Future / 11th Single

Kanjiru Mama ni Kagayaite was the first song of Kisumai that made me cried first time listen. The lyric from the beginning to end of song is sooo good. This song also matches Kisumai well, they sang it often on their 10th anniversary along with 'Re:' ; ; I love this song.

Grand Maison Tokyo & Grand Maison Tokyo: Hirako Shohei no Yureru Omoi (💛) (2019) as Hirako Shohei

The drama that made me interested in Tama again (after 10 years+?), I thought I already retired being a fan (I stopped updating any idols in 2015) but Tama changed my life ; ; I was escaping from reality by watching some dramas, but also unconsciously trying to find myself by watching dramas about job/work. I heard many good reviews about this drama, watched it at the beginning of 2021, and it is indeed, a very good drama! I enjoyed it a lot~ Tama acting with Kimura Takuya is a great point but his character here also interesting. I'm team Miyu so his ending was pretty good (though it would be nice too if he didn't end up with any one of them). Tama looks so good in that デコ出し short black hairstyle!!✨ He got a very nice role in this drama~ 「本気出せ！」

Be Love (2020) 💛

I'm not sure what to say about this 笑 one thing I'm sure is, as Tama's fan, it's a MUST watch! 😌 Based on MiyaTama unit songs 'Be Love', 'Hoshi ni Negai wo', 'Unmei', this 4 episodes short drama is interesting~ (I probably very biased in this) たんまみ〜や fantasy is uniquely adorable and fun to enjoy~! (their real friendship is really, really special, sometimes it's overwhelming and attacks my heart wonderfully)

Oh! My Boss! Koi wa Bessatsu de (2021) as Horai Junnosuke 💛

I like fashion-related theme but I'm not sure whether I enjoyed watching this or not >< I'm not fond of main female character (again?!) and their romance, even though it supposed to be キュンキュン drama, I don't feel it. But there's one great point, visual! Tama's visual as Jun here is sooo great✨ Kakkoii fashion style, ikemen(?) hairstyle, and he did very well in his 子犬系男子 character~! I like Tama's character as photographer, taking pictures that embrace human touch is very nice. His cosplay(?) as white dog and black dog are a bit too much but he's very adorable so o..kay? 笑 This drama has a very lovely theme song, 'Luv Bias' by Kis-My-Ft2. I really like it and there is 'another' version (played on a certain moment, episode 7) which also very lovely~!

Nice Flight! (2022) as Kurata Sui 💛

After a long wait finally, Tama in a drama as main role~! And pilot role!! Though again, I'm not fond of the romance which a big part of drama ;_; There are few Sui-Mayu nice sweet moments, but some (big) parts are irritating which made me feeling off about their relationship. Tama acted as puppy-type man in BossKoi, here in NaiFura he is big-dog-type man, adorable and kakkoii pilot✨ As a job drama, it's pretty nice. Miyata Toshiya cameo on the last episode was a wonderful surprise! Nice Flight's theme song, 'Two as One' by Kis-My-Ft2, is very nice~ The timing of the theme song plays around the end of drama's episode also nice.

Inori no Karute: Kenshui no Nazotoki Shinsatsu Kiroku (2022) as Suwano Ryota 💛

Tama acted various emotions here and he did well! Actor, Tamamori Yuta. 🥰 I usually enjoy episodic drama too but this drama, not sure whether it's because too rushed or kind of messy? when watching this, I felt like there are something missing or lacking >_<) It's nice to watch Tama acted with various actors and actresses here~ '想花' (omoibana) by Kis-My-Ft2 is a heartwarming theme song and wrapped this drama gently.

Watching Tama in uniforms, pilot and (intern) doctor, main role in two seasons, 2022 was great✨ Hope I can watch Shylock no Kodomotachi (2023) soon~

I wish Tama will get more chances to explore grey or darker roles on thoughtful and meaningful projects/works. Without romance, if possible (idol actor tend to get more romance stuff I guess). It feels like he can be more interesting and remarkable as an actor, with roles that have zero (or maybe a veeery little) romance. He gives me a feeling that he has high potential to be one charming versatile actor, which is the type of actor I enjoy watching the most. I really like his subtle, yet profound acting and I am excited to watch how his acting developed~✨

It's the first time I saw Tamamori Yuta~! I started watching Gokusen series from Gokusen 2 then when I saw Tama, I'm not exactly sure what was it, there's something adorable about him that stuck on me. I got interested in him and searched more about him, found that he is one of Kis-My-Ft2 members, one of Johnny's junior groups that hadn't officially debuted yet. I already knew Kat-tun at that time, Kisumai got me interested for a while before some things in life put me away from internet world.

Support roles in Shiawase ni Narou yo (2011), Saikou no Jinsei no Owarikata (2012), Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou The Movie (2012), Zeni no Sensou (2015)

I watched all his small roles after I watched his big/bigger roles~ I actually skipped almost everything except his parts (gomen) >_<

Ikemen desu ne (2011) as Katsuragi Ren 💛

Tama's first main role in drama!! I've watched the Korean drama they adapted long years ago (maybe soon after it aired at that time) but I watched this Japanese adaptation after I'm interested in Tama again (will mention this later on the drama that made me into him). Maybe because I watched this 10 years later, I cringed so hard ; x ; ugyah- I enjoyed the Korean one (story pretty much the same in adaptation) when I was much younger but not anymore? 😅 I even have the pig-rabbit doll from this drama that I bought soon after I watched the original long years ago haha~ The only reason I watched this whole (cringey) drama was because Tama, of course. Somehow he matched his role pretty well. First main role (and his real main job is idol) which not bad, pretty good for his career.

Ataru (2012) as Ebina Sho

Tama-chan acting with Nakai-san!! Tama's supporting role here was good and I enjoyed watching this drama, it's pretty nice and exciting~

Nobunaga no Chef (2013) & Nobunaga no Chef Season 2 (2014) as Ken 💛

Tama's main role for 2 seasons drama!! French chef travels to the Sengoku period (time-slip), eventually becomes the chef of Nobunaga Oda. It was pretty nice drama to watch. Tama got his main role here after the director (iirc) watched his (really) hard work on variety show, and he did it pretty well.

Pin to Kona (2013) as Kawamura Kyonosuke 💛

I like Tama's main role here~! His character is adorable and kind, he did well and I enjoyed watching this drama~ I'm not fond of main female character here but kabuki world as setting is quite interesting.

Yonimo Kimyou na Monogatari 2014 Spring Special - Neet na Kare to Cute na Kanojo, Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi 2015 Summer Special - Doko Made mo Tsuitekuru, Yonimo Kimyou na Monogatari 2019 Rain Special - Sakasama Shoujo no Tame no Piano Sonata (one of main roles in special dramas)

from these 3 drama specials I like Sakasama Shoujo no Tame no Piano Sonata the most, simply because Tama as pianist~! 笑 It's the most interesting from all 3 too. Neet na Kare to Cute na Kanojo is the kind of story I'm not interested to watch, it's okay~ I tend to avoid horror story but since it's Tama, I watched Doko Made mo Tsuitekuru with anxious heart ;_; (it's scarier since it based on true story?)

Seishun Tantei Haruya: Otona no Aku wo Yurusanai! (2015) as Asagi Haruya 💛

didn't enjoy watching this drama, watched it only because Tama's there ;_; one of his (drama) friends there becomes his good friend in real life, lovely~

Raintree no Kuni (2015) as Sakisaka Nobuyuki 💛💛

Tama's first main role in movie!! It's pretty okay~ not the kind of romance I enjoy though. Tama worked hard learning kansai dialect here, he did pretty nice in this movie.

Reverse (2017) as Asami Kosuke

THIS. When I first watched this (was it 2021?) I just finished watching one drama with Tama in it that made me interested in him again. I started watching this before checking casts, I used to see good reviews about this drama and finally watched it after several years. I was surprised to see Tama in this drama, first he looks different!! and then his acting here, I really enjoyed watching him~! his character gave me various feelings and Tama did very well. Heard that he really learned about acting from the director here and it improved him, like a turning point. I really wish Tama gets more chances to do grey/darker roles ; ;

Juuyou Sankounin Tantei (2017) as Maneki Kei 💛

Tama's acting improves gradually year by year but it's more apparent starting from 2017 (reverse drama). Actually I didn't really enjoy this drama, I also not fond of main female character here (again ; ;), but visuals, good~ When watching 2017's dramas of Tama I realized that his acting style is the type of acting I like a lot (the most), subtle and profound acting.

Parallel World Love Story (2019) as Tsuruga Takashi 💛💛

great actors and actress, adapted from a novel by popular mystery author, Higashino Keigo, I feel like this movie can be much more but okay, it still impactful personally because it's Tama's first bed scene >///< really, Tama is great in more complex/darker roles. Tama in this movie is very different with real him, and he did it very well.

unexpectedly interesting and fun ride - romantic comedy edition

かぐや様は告らせたい ～天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦～ Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunōsen

I forget how did I start watch Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai anime, earliest memory I have I was watching thinking it would be a light romantic comedy to watch casually. As someone who like straightforward type, at first it got me a tiny bit frustrated like, why Kaguya and Shirogane were like that?!

I also don't remember why I watched its anime soon after it aired (I followed it every week = I enjoyed it quite much?). I like their songs too, one of ending song, Chika Dance song, Chikatto Chika Chika by Fujiwara Chika (チカっとチカ千花っ) is really cute! Shirogane and Chika rap song, My Nonfiction is nice too~! After I watched the 3rd season, my curiosity was rising and I started reading its manga around that chapter they adapted at the end of 3rd season. As I read the manga I got hooked on it more than I'd expected. My curiosity turned into excitement the more I read. Characters personalities and stories in Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai are so interesting! Their comedy makes me laugh often, and their story is not that light, it's thought-provoking (which I didn't expect at first), a very enjoyable and interesting read.

I get why it's not that easy for them to confess when I know more about Shinomiya Kaguya and Shirogane Miyuki, their complex personalities. Interactions with supporting characters and their stories also nice and fun to read, I kind of have a soft spot for Shijo twins (Maki and Mikado). But, what got me very excited, what I most excited about this manga is Ishigami Yu 石上優 and Iino Miko 伊井野ミコ!! I really like their relationship, their characters development, their interactions, backstory, everything about them was so exciting (and hilarious) to read♡ I still hold a tiny hope we will get a spin-off about them, I want more of them! ><

Thinking about this manga makes me want to reread and enjoy this interesting fun ride again, hopefully soon.

ヴァニタスの手記 Vanitas no Karte

When I was browsing anime to watch last year, I got interested when I saw Vanitas no Karte visual then I checked a bit about it. I actually hesitated a bit when I found it's vampire theme/story. Not sure why, I never found myself really enjoying vampiric works, until I found Vanitas no Karte. I tried watching it because I like their visuals and it receives lots of good reviews (also Mochizuki Jun sensei). I really enjoyed it! I read its manga very soon after I finished its anime, read it from the beginning and I like it so much! I actually like Vanitas no Karte manga much more than anime but anime was very nice and enjoyable too, I wish they will adapt all till the end, お願いします ; ;

ヴァニタス Vanitas

My most favorite character in Vanitas no Karte, Vanitas!! I adore him so, so much, he gives me lots of feelings. Free spirit, eccentric, mischievous but actually very kind, deeply broken and hates himself a lot. I'm not sure I can elaborate well on why I like him a lot, he just that special (my preference? I don't know). I really wish he will live long happily... ; ;

His reaction was hilarious when he began to realize his feeling for Jeanne, I love that moment. Knowing how much he hates his own self that makes him in so much disbelief that someone can love him gives a heavy feeling and somehow relatable, watching him in love is so, so... ;_; *feelings overload*

I love watching him with Jeanne so, so much! Both are very adorable and captivating. My fondness for Jeanne also grows the more I watch her. Vanitas and Jeanne was the first ever that made me feel that blood-sucking scene is hot >///< Their interactions, their relationship development makes me want to read Vanitas no Karte again, and again.

Relationship between two main protagonists, Vanitas and Noe, is interesting and another big charm point I enjoy following. Somehow I have a soft spot on Dominique, really hope she and Noe will be happy together... ><

Interesting story, captivating relatable characters, steampunk setting, I really enjoy watching their funny moments, adventures and I love watching their relationships!! Love their romances and relationship between two main protagonists. Vanitas and Jeanne, Vanitas and Noe (and Murr!), Noe and Domi. Vanitas no Karte surely on the list of manga I'm very (very) excited about.

characters development, friendships & romances

この音とまれ! Kono Oto Tomare

If I get asked which manga with romance in it that I like the most or would excitedly talking about, I likely will mention Kono Oto Tomare! first or it certainly on my top list. I didn't expect I would like a manga with music theme, traditional music instrument Koto, this much. I really like characters developments and relationships in Kono Oto Tomare!. Some of them seem to bring troubles but they learn to face their struggles together and their bond gets stronger, they really are a good team. Each of them has their own problems but with genuine supports from their team, their true friends, they are able to be their better self and walk side by side. Friendship and romance parts in Kono Oto Tomare! are really good.

/major spoiler alert/

My (two) most favorite characters are Kudo Chika 久遠愛 and Hozuki Satowa 鳳���さとわ!! I love both of them, they are very adorable and charming. I love their interactions. They also one of my top 2 favorite couple (not yet, but their feelings are mutual) among all mangas. I really like when Chika feels the urge to touch or embrace Satowa, oh my heart!!

When Satowa answered Uzuki why she wants to protect Chika (Satowa best woman!!) then Chika remembered his grandpa's last wish, they hugged each other tightly- uwaaaghh all this wholesome moment made my heart burst feeling overload!! While waiting for next chapter update, I read from the beginning of manga again, it just, really good ; ;

Several chapters after, Satowa's feeling got accidentally recorded in the footage they watched in koto club room, when others tried to help the situation after they heard her feeling toward Chika, Chika straightforwardly gave the best response!! (Chika best man!!) MY HEART—!! When Isaki talked about what Chika said at that time, Chika's words made me cried, knowing him feeling that happiness I'm- ;_;

I don't want to make this into something to be "embarrassed" about. To have somebody convey their love for me, and then being able to say that I love them back, I just thought how happy I was to experience that.

I also really like Takaoka Tetsuki 高岡哲生, best best friend!! He cares deeply for his friends, good at studying, cooking and at fighting too. Very kakkoii and gentle man, his father too. Sane, kota, and Mittsu are very nice friends but Tetsuki just-(my heart). Kurata Takezo and Kurusu Hiro, very nice senpai in koto club, their relationship also adorable~!! I love both lovely couples (not yet) in Kono Oto Tomare! I also interested in Takinami Suzuka sensei, wondering will he also be in relationship, maybe with Akira sensei? or Isaki? No romantic relationship is fine too.

I enjoy reading Kono Oto Tomare so much, it might be one of mangas that I re-read most often. Heartwarming and adorable, they also encourage me with their words. I watched anime because I want to listen to their koto, hope they will adapt it till the end with nice improvements. I wonder will I get to watch and listen to koto live performances someday, it's so charming.

Anime that I want to rewatch the most ~ slice of life

夏目友人帳 Natsume Yuujinchou

Lately I feel like I want to rewatch and indulge in various feelings from watching Natsume Yuujinchou. I watched it few years ago and remember that not only I enjoyed watching, I also felt something. Perhaps I want to feel that 'something' again? While trying to get myself together these days. I wonder if I can finish rewatching all six seasons within this year. It's soothing but also heart wrenching, heartfelt stories that I miss watching from time to time.

There is one thing that I felt so touched upon my first watch and lingers in my mind every time I remember Natsume Yuujinchou, it's what Chuukyuu said at the ending of Natsume Yuujinchou Go episode 11 (related with Natsume Takashi),

"What a stupid guy. No... We are the idiots, aren't we? We know the flowers' petals will fall someday, and yet we are still entranced by them."

time travel; encounter

Steins;Gate~! I rewatched it soon after first watch, now that some years has passed, I feel like I'm going to rewatch it within this year. Interesting, enjoyable, it was the anime that made me thrilled about time travel for the first time. I probably first knew about time leap from watching Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo and parallel world from reading Orange, but I enjoyed both mostly on their relationships? After watching Steins;Gate, I searched more things about time travel that related with it then watched the anime again which I rarely do (rewatch soon after first watch). But I haven't rewatched its ova, movie and Steins;Gate 0 yet, I will rewatch all someday~ If I remember correctly, it was also the first moment I knew things like true ending and other various endings. At first, I didn't think/expect anything romance because I was into the story/plot more but when it happened, I like Okabe and Kurisu relationship a lot!! I really enjoy watching their interactions and was very excited when Kurisu appeared in Steins;Gate 0 >//< Makise Kurisu is my favorite~!

Thinking about rewatching already sounds fun. As I'm writing this, I am in the mood for re-read several manga I like a lot which I read years ago, also going to read some titles that have been on my try-to-read list. Maybe after, I will start watching what I've been planning to rewatch one by one, slowly. El Psy Kongroo!
