Hyuna and Luka: Not much is known about them, other than Luka having won Alien Stage (basically talent show Battle Royale) and he and Hyuna being childhood friends. However, currently her feelings towards him are mixed at best as he either purposefully or accidentally killed her brother (he was smiling afterwards either way) and basically, he’s currently obsessed with her while competing in Alien Stage again while she’s part of the rebels trying to destroy it.

Oswald and Ed: they literally bond thru murder so it shouldnt be a surprise that one of them killed the other and they still love each other. i think the killing confirmed the love tbh, and obvs just made them more obsessed with each other

Chloe and Kairos; They’re distantly related. Kairos took Chloe in to raise and groom her into becoming the perfect lure for his half brother, the emperor. She successfully seduces the emperor and has his child, and Kairos kills him. Unfortunately for him, his fiance lies to Chloe and tells her that her daughter is dead, and gives her poison to kill herself with. Chloe does so, but is brought to the past, as is Kairos. Kairos basically went insane when Chloe died in the previous timeline, always carrying her dead body around and trying to bring her back. Now, he’s willing to do anything to keep her by his side, even as she does everything in her power to escape him.

Celty and Shinra: Celty is a dullahan missing her head. She met Shinra when he was four, and in exchange for getting her to Japan, his father wanted to vivisect her with no anesthesia, and Shinra HELPED DO IT. He grew up completely obsessed with her, even getting stabbed at one point because he thought that’d make her notice him. And as an adult they’re roommates, and he also knows where her head is, but refuses to tell her, because he doesn’t want her to leave when she finds it.

Juri and Shiori: They both love eachother right but shiori is insecure and has comphet and hates juri for being better than her!! It was confirmed in the original dialogue and by the series creator that Shiori does return Juri's feelings, but was antagonistic towards to her because she held Juri in such high regard that when she found out that Juri loved her it made Shiori feel powerful and on more equal ground with Juri than she initially thought, so she tried to maintain that power in the hopes of having Juri to herself

Hajime and Nagito: I understand that it’s popular and I don’t want to hurt the feelings of those who ship it, because I understand why it has appeal, but there’s a lot of evidence why it’s at the very least one sidedly obsessive. Komaeda idolizes Hajime and his “talent” to a degree that consistently makes Hajime uncomfortable, and as soon as Hajime is revealed to not have any talent, Komaeda is quick to berate him and emphasize his worthlessness in comparison to those who have talent. Then after Hajime is revealed to have every single talent imaginable, Komaeda goes right back to idolizing him. The majority of the internal dialogue when the player choose s for Hajime to interact with Komaeda is Hajime saying things along the lines of how uncomfortable Komaeda makes him and how scared he is of him.

Addie and Luc: Addie makes a deal with the shadows, Luc, to avoid being married. He makes her immortal, but also curses her to be forgotten by everyone she meets, all to drive her to despair and make her give up her soul to him. They were together for twenty years, but then he tried to change their deal and she broke things off entirely with him. In the present day, he sets her up with someone else he’s made a deal with who also doesn’t forget her but who will also die within a few months, all to break her heart.

Using HX's fate, SQX(unknowing)'s life gets better and better, and eventually ascends to godhood with SWD. On the other hand, HX, with SQX's fate, is now the target of the demon and his life gets worse and worse. His family dies one by one gruesomely, and HX finally snaps, killing everybody who wronged him before dying from exhaustion. As he lays dying, he sees SWD standing over his body. Filled with resentment, he returns to life as a ghost, intent on finding out the reason for his suffering. He devours the demon who tormented him, and rises to become one of the four most powerful ghosts, earning the moniker "Black Water Sinking Ships".After realising what SWD did, he swears vengeance. He kidnaps and takes the place of another newly ascended god, Ming Yi. HX, now MY, befriends SQX in the heavens to get close to him and his brother, awaiting the day he could take his revenge. During this centuries-long time, SQX and MY become best friends, nigh on inseparable. Finally, the day of reckoning arrived. HX takes on the form of the demon to reveal the truth to SQX, before kidnapping SQX. When SWD arrives to rescue him, HX gives him and ultimatum: either SQX must kill SWD, or SWD must swap SQX's fate with that of a madman's, leaving him to suffer. SWD creates a third path, angering HX until HX rips SWD's head off in front of SQX. SWD dies with the knowledge that he won, that no matter what happened now, he and his brother had gotten all those years together, while HX could never get his family back again. His last words are " My fate is up to me and not the heavens!" In the aftermath, HX strips SQX of his godly power, leaving him to live as a crippled beggar for the rest of his days.

Utena and Anthy: There's literally a scene where they eat poisoned biscuits and tea and casually confess to each other that they poisoned the tea/biscuits respectively and then quietly continue eating said biscuits and tea. It's a metaphor for how much hurt they've caused each other throughout their relationship whether it was on purpose or through willful ignorance 👍 They then make a promise to eat biscuits and tea together again in 10 years time <3

Haruka and Muu: Haruka has extremely low confidence and Muu is a pampered rich girl. They form a codependent relationship where Muu bosses Haruka around and he does everything for her. In exchange he gets affection and attention, which he desperately craves. They are both prisoners who have committed murders, and are being judged to see if the murders were justified or not. Haruka said he would kill himself if Muu wasn't voted justified. Very toxic and bad for both of them
