It's possible this first war was shorter, and since it presumably started when Henderson was in his 20s, almost 40-50 years before the current time of the main story, it wouldn't be unusual for people to refer to the second, more destructive war as "The War." I'm pretty sure the same thing happened in Europe for a long time after WW2.

I think the war implied in this chapter is this universe's WWI equivalent, while the war Loid and co. fought in is their WWII equivalent.

Huh, that would make sense, it would make the timeline work, but I find it weird, because everyone talks about the war like it was one big, singular event, not like it was two separate ones years apart. Sure, it could be that people can see that moment of peace between them as merely a breath before diving into the darkness again, but still.

I don't know, it just feels like it makes sense, but so little points at that being the case. I know in my heart this is probably the answer, but I still wish there was more pointing at that.

Also, needing approval to partner with another company back when RT was still existing is a lot different than needing it with RWBY being an orphaned IP.

CRWBY apparently needs Warner's approval for this upcoming partnership. RT needed it to be allowed to partner with Crunchyroll for Volume 9.

I'm not sure where it said in any of that that Warner had to approve (not saying you're incorrect, I just didn't see what you saw)
