Today I finally finished my comic book it was all thanks to my teachers that helped me from the start of the project to the end of the project. This is my first comic I have ever made and I am very proud of that. In the extra pages I wanted to show the character I have drawn thought out the project so it’s like a progress up to this point it’s also like a journey as well. I have had a lot of fun with this project can’t wait to find out what I will do in interactive media.

Last week this was an inspired drawing from Frank Millers sin city. I used photoshop to edit my drawing and wanted to add the same style as Frank Millers work. I also wanted to use the same colours that are in sin city I used this character on my comic book but at the back cover and I thought that was a good idea.

Today I started to make my first panel. I drawn first scene were the army are in their underground base. I used photoshop to to edit my first panel I also have drawn my own spider tanks and also have drawn some box’s. I added a new layer so I can design my mechs I used the shape tool to make my mechs and I also had drawn my gun fro my sketch book on to photoshop. I used a comic page template to help me and my teacher were to put the boxes around the first panel.

I can’t wait to make more of my own panels.

Gun Sketch 2

Today I have sketch a drawing of a gun design of my comic book. I will edit my drawing on photoshop I will be stating soon with the comic book panels.

Polite drawing

Today I started designing my mech pilot and what the pilot would look like in my comic. I wanted to sketch out what my character on photoshop my inspiration was Gundam a manga comic. I used photoshop to draw my character and to add colours as well I may not use this character in the comic but it will give you an idea of what I am trying to do. I am glad I got to finish my character.

Dark room outcome 2

In the afternoon I went to the dark room to do more experiments on my next sellotape transfer. Agin for this I used the same process as last time I got a white bit of paper and then turned on the machine print my sellotape transfer to the paper. I turned the light on the machine for 3 seconds like last time and then putted my print in the three chemicals of water that make the image appear. I have image shows up I put it in the normal water so it gets rid of the other chemicals and then let it dry.

Agin I had fun In the dark room I really hope in the future I can come back here.

SelloTape Transfer 2

Today I have made another sellotape transfer. I did the same process again with this sellotape transfer were I put sellotape at the back of the paper and made sure that there were no gaps between the sellotape. I then went to the sink to add cold water to the back of the paper so I can can start to rub the back of the paper gently. When I was done with that I let my sellotape transfer dry.

I really enjoyed making the sellotape transfer again it was really fun. To expand my ideas I will go back to the dark room.

Dark Room outcome

Today I went to the dark room with my teacher. We went to the dark room to experiment with our sellotape transfer. We first got some special paper then we turned on the machine that will help us with the print. I put my paper under were the light will show then I put my sellotape transfer on top of the paper and then I put the light on the paper I made sure that the paper only had 3 seconds so the sellotape transfer image would print on top the paper.

After that we had 3 different water trays with different chemicals one of the water trays were to make print the image to the paper the other was fixen up the image and the other was to get rid of the the other chemicals.

I really had fun today I found the dark room interesting because that is how old photos were made. I would love to try this out agin.

SelloTape Transfer

Today I have made my own sellotape transfer. I first printed an image off the internet and then put sellotape at the back of the image I could not let any gaps between the sellotape. After that I went to the bathroom to use the sink. I put on cold water and then made sure that I turned the image that shows the back of white paper. I got the back of the paper wet and started to rub off the white bit of paper slowly some of the white paper came off. After a few minutes it was done after the outcome I was very happy the way it came out.

I would love to do this again it was really fun. This process has given me some ideas that I can use this technique in the future.

Robot comic book cover outcome

Today I have started and finished my comic book cover. I used photoshop and my own drawing for my font comic book cover it was very challenging to design a comic book cover. My inspiration was Marvel comics, Gundan manga comic and 2000AD I also took inspiration from other comics with bright colours on the font cover of a comic book.

1. The first thing I did take a photo of my drawing on my phone and up loaded my drawing to google drive.

2. I then download the the drawing to my USB so that I can edit my drawning to make it my font cover.

3. I made a new layer called it layer 1 and I started to use the paint brush tool. I wanted to paint my cover so I could do something different because I don’t use the paint tool that much.

4. I started painting my character on the front cover I used my drawing for reference. I used dark colours and bright colours to add more detail.

5. When I finished painting my character I moved then on to the background it took me try and error until I got the correct colours for the sky. I then wanted to put my character in a battle zone so he’s running at you with his laser gun.

6. I used the blur option to draw a bit of red and yellow to make a fire effect. I also added a building behind my character to added a bit more detail so it looks like my character is in the war zone.

7. After I was done with the fire effect I want on to the muddy area were my character is running on the mud agin I used dark colours like black and grays.

8. After that I moved on to the font I went on the internet and I fond a wed site called de font and I fond a good font but I might change my mind and use a different font but I don’t yet until I talk to my teachers.

I really enjoyed making my first comic book cover because I have never made a comic book cover I am very proud of my self.

Robot drawing

Today I have drawn a robot. I had drawn the robot from the top of my head I did not know what I was really drawing at first but it all came together that I was trying to draw a battle mech but from my own design.

I have been thinking about a comic book cover so I might use the robot I have drawn to make as my cover.

To make my comic book cover I will use photoshop and draw my robot on the cover. I really am excited to start to draw my robot on to photoshop soon.

Android drawing

Today I have drawn my Android. What inspired me was the films Bladerunner, Star Wars, and chappie,. Some people have said that my drawing looks like Rachael from the film Bladerunner that might of been what I was trying to draw an Android like the character Rachael from Bladerunner.

I was very happy that I have done a sketch of my own drawing of an Android. If I had more time I would have edited my drawing on to photoshop and also would have added colour also.

Today I’m researching marvel comics. I wanted to have a look at the font they use to help me make my own font and add bright bold colours.

I like the font marvel use for there comics because I think it stands and it is easy to spot.

2000AD Research

2000 AD is a weekly British science fiction-orientated comic magazine. As a comics anthology it serialises stories in each issue (known as "progs")[note 1] and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated 26 February. IPC then shifted the title to its Fleetway comics subsidiary which was sold to Robert Maxwell in 1987 then Egmont UK in 1991. Fleetway continued to produce the title until 2000, when it was bought by Rebellion Developments.

2000 AD is most noted for its Judge Dredd stories, and has been contributed to by a number of artists and writers who became renowned in the field internationally, such as Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Grant Morrison, Brian Bolland and Mike McMahon. Other characters in 2000 AD include Rogue Trooper, Strontium Dog and the ABC Warriors.

2000 AD has been a successful launchpad for getting British talent into the larger American comics market.

Blade Runner research

Blade Runner is a 1982 American-Hong Kong[4] neo-noir science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples, and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos. It is a loose adaptation of Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968). The film is set in a dystopian future Los Angeles of 2019, in which synthetic humans known as replicants are bio-engineered by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work on off-world colonies. When a fugitive group of replicants led by Roy Batty (Hauer) escapes back to Earth, burnt-out cop Rick Deckard (Ford) reluctantly agrees to hunt them down.

Blade Runner initially underperformed in North American theaters and polarized critics; some praised its thematic complexity and visuals, while others were displeased with its unconventional pacing and plot. Hailed for its production design depicting a "retrofitted" future, Blade Runner is a leading example of neo-noir cinema. Planing the comic book

My teacher helped me plan what I need in the comic and how the comic cover needs on it. And also had a talk about how many pages I need and also what the first scene should be in the comic.
