Hey! I've got more of a request. I was wondering if either you or your followers (or both! :p ) Could suggest me music groups who sing in French, Italian, Portugese, Finnish, Arab, Swedish, Hungarian, Polish---- to make it short, any language besides Spanish, English, Korean and Japanese? :) I want to fill my iTunes library with more languages and I know I can look on lastfm or youtube, but I'd rather hear recommendations. I don't really care about the genre either :) Merci beaucoup!

GAAAAGH. It took me long enough to do this.
I’d like to introduce to you the main character of my historical novel, Gott Mit Uns --  Oberführerin Nikola Kohler. Only, I’ve painted her in a more modern setting/AU. Don’t be confused, though. She does belong in the 40s.
She’s a Nazi general’s secretary by day and an anti-fascist gun-for-hire by night -- both of whom are part of the Underground Resistance. Not only is she a Nachrichtenhelferin des Heeres, but she’s also an amateur thespian who can play Juliet and Lady Macbeth like nobody’s business. She’s 6′3″, half-German, half-Russian, and knows English well enough to fool your mother.
She also has Narcissistic Personality Disorder (seven of the nine traits), depression, anger issues, and an alcohol addiction, which is quite unfortunate. Every once in a while she’ll get sick with alcohol poisoning, but most of the time she’s got a good handle on her habits.
Pose ref is from here: http://faestock.deviantart.com/art/Modern-Portrait-19-552923054
And have and excerpt:
“I know what you're really in here for,” grumbled the old man. “Greta came and whined to you, didn't she?”
She snapped, however she would try to bite her tongue as best she could with her answer. “Sir, that wasn't whining. That was a violation of conduct. Why was her request never on my desk? And who in the Sam Hill asked for her?”
Karl sighed. “Someone came in last night saying that they needed a leader over their platoon of signaling helferin in an infantry regiment in Russia. They wanted you, but I made it clear I wasn't giving you up. They settled on Greta. So...”
“Sir, please don't speak too much. But anyway, continue.”
“An SS officer. He said the 28th Jäger Division wanted a new leader for their women. She's getting promoted to your rank before she leaves, then she's taking them on. I was wondering if you could train her...”
“Sir, she doesn't need any more training than she has,” she cut him off for the second time. “She has all the qualifications needed to carry out this new duty. She knows what she's doing, even if she's a little bit of a klutz. Sir, that time would be better spent on finding her replacement. However...”
“And that was what I was about to call you in for.”
“I want to know why you're letting them take her! She already has trauma from the last time she was in Russia, why are we sending her back? She's scarred, both mentally and physically. Haven't we already discussed this?” This time around it was a bit harder to control her temper. “I want to know why you didn't even ask me! Is this why you sent me home early? So that you could do things behind my back that you otherwise wouldn't do?”
“Nikola, calm down. First of all, I can move her to wherever without asking you. Second, the man who came in was someone who scheduled an appointment with me last minute last night before I went home. Think about how you're acting right now. You're throwing a tantrum like a five-year-old. Get a hold of yourself and your temper.” Karl was the only man who would let her yell at a commanding officer, but not without a reprimanding after it.
The secretary pulled up a chair and sat down with her head in her hands, trying to ease herself. She took several deep breaths to let her heart slow. Her general was bending the rules. Oh, how he annoyed her at times. It was a wonder she'd had the patience to stay with him this long.
“Look, I just want to know why it was her they took and not someone else. Out of all of the girls who are under us, why Greta? We have over thirty ladies.” She sighed, then stood. “I'm going to go find someone to replace her.” With that she turned and walked over to the door.
“I had two suggestions...”
Before she closed the door behind her, she waited for a moment, thinking, then looked over her shoulder. She gave him a sly smirk and with a sharp tone in her voice told him her thoughts rather blatantly.
“I probably won't like either of them.”

And I’ve failed at crap again
So... uhm... I was going to do this really awesome thing for the birthday of the main character of my current project, Gott Mit Uns, Nikola Kohler (and her brother; it was his too), but I failed completely, as it was on the 20th and I can’t seem to celebrate my character’s birthdays on time. So, I’ll try to make her concept art over the next couple of days, and I’ll post an excerpt from the book. I SWEAR THERE SHALL BE SOMETHING SOON.
Nikola had led Greta to one of the supply closets; this one was full of paper. The two stepped around a few boxes until they found a suitable place away from the door, where no one could hear. There had only been a couple other times where Nikola had pulled her aside during something. She was worried this time.
“Greta,” the secretary began in that tone that the radio operator knew too well when she was ticked off about something, “Have you lied to me?” She was still obviously upset over what Rosemarie had said, but what was she mad about now? It was incredible to everyone she knew how blunt and straightforward she was when speaking to people. Brevity happened to be one of her talents, as surprising as it may have been with her being a Shakespearean actress.
Then she knew.
The Führerin looked her in the eye . “Let me reword that question. Would I ever lie to you? Have I?” Then, looking away, she asked, “What is it?”
“You began to call Dorothea by a different name. Who is she?”
With a heavy sigh the radio operator began her explanation. “You remember Red Orchestra, no doubt. There's no way you could forget everything in a year's time. Do you remember the König ring? I know you have to.”
Nikola nodded, the color draining from her already pale face. The subject was tabooed among those who were involved. Greta hadn't mentioned anything until now. She remembered it well, as well as how she, Greta, Joseph, and Tobias had almost gotten executed for their affiliations with the anti-fascist intelligence group. By some single connection she had with a high-ranking officer in the Gestapo had they escaped their deaths. The König ring had been one of the only Red Orchestra intelligence circles which had gone undiscovered.
“Dorothea Kaiser was one of their radio operators. You've spoken with her before when relaying intelligence to the Schulze-Boysen/Harnack group. I'm surprised you didn't recognize her voice when you interviewed her.”
The secretary frowned. “You know how different your voice can sound on the radio. I didn't know who you were when you first called me on the VHF radios they gave us in Russia. I've heard so many different voices on the radio over the years that I've forgotten who is who, save the most common ones.” It was always awkward when meeting the invisible woman whose voice and handle she only knew. Greta was better about it, but they both had to admit that sounds carried over the air sounded much different in real life.
“Her real name is Helen.”
Then she remembered. It all came back to her. From there she connected the dots. “That American girl? Helen Leavitt? You mean to say that I interviewed the girl whom I used tospeak with on the radio?” She slapped her forehead. “Ach du meine Güte, I must be out of it. I thought she'd been snuffed out by the Gestapo, I see that hasn't happened yet. I can't believe I didn't recognize her.” She then folded her arms and shifted her balance to her other leg.
“What do you know about Rosemarie Fulk?” she asked, noticing a minute tickle in the back of her throat. She loosened her tie just a bit in hopes it was just the dust and that she'd cough it out.
“No clue. Just a girl from Anna's group with a serious ego issue.” Greta shrugged.
“Thank you, Sigmund Freud. I’ve become so enlightened now thanks to your observations. Now, would you like to ask me more about the relationship Tobias and I have?” she scoffed. “I'm joking. Don't, please. Anyway, I promised Müller I'd have your replacement before I left, so I say we get back in there and tell them what's going on.”
The radio operator nodded. “Indeed. We don't want another Liesel, do we?”
