haha, theres actually going to be a couple of scenes and choices for things like that if your MC is unable to pick up on sarcasm and figures of speech!

here's one i have drafted that's probably going to change. (the MC was just introduced to Shade)

"He's just a ray of sunshine, isn't he?" A light laugh shook Embry's shoulders as she turned to you. Placing a hand on your shoulder, she offered an apologetic smile. "An acquired taste, that one is. You'll have to get used to him."

Your gaze snapped from the gingers retreating back, a bitter taste in your mouth from his attitude towards you. "A ray of sunshine? He looks quite whole to me."

Her eyes rounded. "Huh? Wait, no—" And then she laughed again, this time full of humor. Shaking her head, Embry waved a hand. "I meant that he's nice!"

"Seems far from it." You added dryly. "Did you see the way he looked at me, as if I were some disgusting insect? I should've — oh, get me out of here before I do something that'll get me...uh, what's it called? Arrested?"

Another loud, amused chortle left her, causing some passerbys to look at you both strangely.

Embry always knew there was life out there. Don't ask how; she just did.

Shade doesn't really wonder about things like that. However, he thinks it would be stupid to assume that humans were the only form of life in the vast and unknown universe.

Axel ponders about extraterrestrial life sometimes. He thinks it's cool in theory, but meeting an actual alien? No thanks.

Epiphany believes aliens would be sick. Imagine having a friend who could fly and read minds? Hell yeah.

Kayden doesn't believe in stuff like that. Like, he thinks theres life out there, but them having stuff like telekinesis and invisibility? Yeah, as if.

Kaiya thinks aliens would be pretty chill. Why? Just so she could have sex with one.
