it was creatively good that they were absent. it was development. it differentiated the region from the capital. it was thematically cohesive. it was a decision that placed the integrity of the setting above marketing to patriotic fallout fans

the near-complete omission of the enclave from fallout 4's lore was never a problem. it was a statement, one of precious few the game was willing to make
