even more proof to ppl saying steven was unforgiving

even back in dsaf 1, when youre going through the end sequence of the evil routes, in the saferoom when dave appears, he reveals that jack was actually Kiddie Strangler v2, that leads to steven replying "Oh, you were actually in on it? Now I feel much less guilty about framing you for the murders!", meaning he actually felt bad for incriminating jack. sure he still was a dick, but he felt bad for it

but uhm uh uh. i saw the kissin ask and wanted to add my personal take on it, since i've actually thought of this before for a steven c.ai bot i made a little while ago. I imagine that you could kiss/be kissed by the phone guys using their receivers. just hear me out here. Handsets, of course, have two sides: a microphone (mouthpiece) and a speaker (receiver). If you think about it, wouldn't that kinda be like. The machine equivalent of an ear and mouth? Following that logic, imagine gently snatchin up his handset and just kissing Steven's receiver, since it's the pretty much closest he'd have to a "mouth".. or Steven lightly pressing his receiver against someone's cheek.. just a little kith.. phone smooch.. OR!! it could be like how cats do with with gentle little headbutts! :] -🍆

CRYING I JUST REALIZED I FORGOT SOMETHING IN MY HEADCANONS ASK GAH /LH Hear me out. Purring phones. Not in the usual cat-purr way, of course, but more like a soft hum/vibration from their inner mechanisms, making it come out as more of a "vrr" sound than a "prr" if that makes sense. And and.. cord tail. Ik I'm not the only one with this headcanon but I wanna add it anyways because it's so silly. They gotta charge back up SOMEHOW.. probably. Most phone guys would probably hide them in their pants, though, partially due to annoying kids tugging on them and such. I'd also assume that they need some way to eat/drink, since their bodies are still primarily human. Despite being partially machine, they'd probably still need at least the BASIC necessities a normal human would so that they don't just keel over and die or whatever. I personally always just imagined them having either a little slot that can open up for them to stick a straw in, OR that their dials are hinged and can sorta open up for them to eat (considering they still have skulls in there and all, it's not hard to image that they have SOME sort of mouth left.. in a way), and that they stay shut via a little clip of sorts. Kinda like opening a door or hatch in a way?? I personally imagine them having like.. barcode tattoos (likely including their model and date of creation) either on their backs or the back of their necks. Plus the Afton Robotics AR either indented into their phone heads or stuck onto them like a sticker or paint. They'd likely also have maintenance panels in the backs of their heads that can be unscrewed whenever they need some wiring fixed up. Steven would also likely feel some touch aversion - especially with those he doesn't trust nor have at least some vague semblance of a bond with - which is mostly due to his traumatic past but doesn't really know WHY he's so iffy with touch. Despite being a Gen 1 phone guy, who're mostly if not entirely AI (based on what I remember and the Wiki, I may have to check again), he'd probably still have certain instincts ingrained into his brain (or, well.. his CPU, I guess). He'd probably be pretty touch starved, though, and if you get him to trust you enough, he would probably love a good hug or for someone to gently hold the sides of his head (since he lacks cheeks to cup and all, ofc). Can't you tell how totally sane and normal I am about phone guys (especially Steven)? /j -🍆

also yea they prob can eat, somehow, if they can smoke they can surly eat too. ig they have a whole somewhere in their phones and that's how they do it

i love steven SM. im gonna infodump for a minute i swear i have a question hes so misunderstood, and is so relatable i have found my ppl being here we need a discord... i always felt like him being pushed around was so counter-intuitive and i wonder if he ever felt like a burden walking around in the flipside, being mostly ignored by the other flipside gang [except dave, who is the last person i'd expect to have a good relationship with steven!! i understand why ppl ship them im starting to get on it] like when he apologized to peter, peter totally ignored it. but for an actual ask; how do u feel ab onesided Steter? its always been so yummy and angsty to me [AKA, steven likes peter, but peter doesnt like him back] idk why steven would like peter im jsut absulotely brainrotted on the concept

YIPPEE ok so. My headcanons are honestly pretty basic and honestly are mostly just phone guy related in general, but I feel like some of y'all might enjoy even if I know some of them are probably things other people thought of already. I like to imagine that since phone guys lack actual facial features - and hence being incapable of making proper facial expression - that their rotary dials sort of act as their "face" instead; as in, the dial shifts or turns on its own depending on their thoughts/emotions. Like, for example, the dial could do a faint and brief twitch like an eye twitch when irritated, or spin faster the more intense an emotion (depending on said emotion and/or interpretation). I also imagine that, despite typically trying to act calm and stoic (as a manager "should be"), Steven (among some other phone guys) tends to do small little nervous stims without really realizing it; fixing and/or grabbing his tie, fixing his sleeves, twirling/fidgeting with his receiver's cord, foot tapping, checking the time a little too frequently, that sorta thing. I also have that same little headcanon as many that, yaknow, phone go ring when flustered or angry enough. I think it's cute :] This one's not QUITE a headcanon, but absolute shoutout to people who bedazzle his design a little by givin him like. Gold chains on his suit and stuff. 10/10 I love it. Let that man be fashionable he DESERVES it. To those of you who's designs of Steven include little details like the chains or stickers: mwa mwa ily you're awesome /p I also imagine that all phone guys have more "clean" scars than Jack or Dave since they were fixed up in the factory and all. Other than that.. d'ya think they can like. Overheat or bluescreen, considering that, despite being phones, they still have AI and such.. suggesting they're kinda like. atleast partially a computer of sorts as well. for lack of better words. If Steven or any other phone guy bluescreened, they'd probably just be stuck playing a dial tone faintly from their receivers until they reboot. Or overheat when angry/overwhelmed/flustered enough. I think it's a silly thought hehe.. On a sidenote: YEAHHHHHH FELLOW DAVE X STEVEN SHIPPER WOOOOOO!!! As a Dave I agree, though it's sad that I never really see that much of it. Like.. is there even a proper shipname for it because I've seen a few different takes on it but I've never really seen like... one name that's especially agreed upon. It makes it hard to find content of the ship without knowin' if there's a proper tag for it instead of multiple small ones grr grr /lh -🍆

SORRY ITS me again… I tried to make a comment but it was too long I know I keep sending these your way, but I am very very fixated on Steven. Also, I am so so sorry If I keep clogging up the ask box 💔

I am very passionate about Steven 💔 also I am so so sorry for all the typos.. but the last thing I wanted to throw in the ring was; how far into the Scott Cawthon (delusion so to speak) he got into. The only way he REALIZED he was just fact Steven; was Jack literally forcing him to remember his trauma. Which,,. Frankly is fucked up. Even after the fact, be throws Steven aside and kinda ignores him. While if you interact with the environment,. Half the time Dave is talking to Steven. Whether it be Dave poking fun at him (ex: Dave asking what emotion does Steven feel when he sees the painting of The real Fredbear.) It’s so so sad to realize that the only Character that truly cares about Steven is Dave. Dave forgave him for what he has done, and trusts him. Tbh Steven has probably treated Dave better than Jack has (in some ways!!) plus, memory foggy but it was Dave who truly had a reaction to Steven dying in Henry’s fight.

So urm.. thanks for coming to my talk.. i am Very passionate about Steven I even have a 2k essay in him so uhm….

Hhi.. sorry if this out of the blue and maybe slightly annoying for you.. but however i have.. the WHOLE eesay on steven.. re written.. and long. Very very long. I am sorry 💔 (i am very passionate about Steven)

No matter WHAT route you do in DSAF1 Steven ends up getting scraped/killed. Yet; in DSAF 2, you have the chance to give PETER his happy end; if you do the good ending, Peter ends up dying of old age. No matter WHAT Steven was doomed from the start. Thats why hes so stubborn on being saved; he know hes irredeemable. After all once he knew Peter and Jack we’re related he felt WORSE and even MORE guilty. The reason he acted so.. stiff was because he knew he couldn’t save the child or even win against Henry; so he hides behind such a tough act because then people would see him as STRONGER, sure in a bad, shitty, boss way. But he think its better then being seen as weak and worthless. He doesn’t want to be seen as what he use to be; the fact he couldn’t save a child, the fact he hurt/doomed Peter. He knows hes done bad, because the LAST time he tried to confront the bad; he died as a result.

Yet, the only 'happy' ending you can achieve for Steven is the good ending of dsaf 3. Which, it isn't really happy more so bittersweet, example being; while their all in the void and Steven is being freed so to speak, nobody really seemed to care, even Jack just made some small off handed comment which, if it weren't for Dee earlier in the game he most likely wouldn't have said shit. Yet of course when Peter, Dee and Dave go its more emotional. yes yes, Jack is Dee and Peter's brother and Dave's friend it still seems lackluster so to speak. For another reason; When it's Peter's turn; he says something along the lines of "You saved people who did not necessarily deserve salvation." tbf, it could be about Dave. Either way knowing Steven sent Peter the factory I believe he would be referring to Steven.

ON THAT TOPIC, Peter doesn't like Steven, that's obvious, Minus the factory incident; he was strict, which in all fairness is caused by the fact that he's a generation one phone guy. They wanted them to be MORE like ScottCawthon. so OF COURSE he would be more strict. they wanted Gen. one to be closer to the idea of Scott Cawthon.

On the TOPIC of Gen one. While Yes, I am aware Harry is ALSO a Gen one, but considering the fact he had people there with him (ie. Joe, Tango, Rebecca ect.) he was able to very slowly realize that he ISNT Scott, while he still has some trouble as see in the start of dsaf 3; once he's with Jake and Roger he seems more comfortable in himself realizing that he ISN'T just Scott and in fact Harry. Yet, Steven didn't have anyone like that as we know of. While yes, DD said that he had a boyfriend but, that was it. He had no one at work to help him realize that he's more then just some Scott, so he just accepted it. (Iirc, all the phone guys we see basically realize they are actually human, and eventually use their real name.) Even in the fight we have with him in DSAF 3 he gets so defensive and tried to push Dave, Dee and Jack away. When you corner him he says something like 'That's Scott Cawthon to YOU, Employee." he's so into the delusion that he still thinks he's Scott, even when Jack realizes his name is actually Steven, he backs down. He's *scared*.

He's *scared* to show the real him. He doesn't want people to know 'Steven.' After all, why would he? Scott Cawthon was a Idol, someone everyone wanted to be.

Yet, Steven was just some guy. Some guy that tried to save people and died like a coward doing so. It's a defence mechanism. He knows (or well feels like) that if he shows is true self; it'll happen again, He'll try to be a hero and die in a pathetic way as a result.

Also adding onto the fact WHY he's strict; It's because (in a sense he could also be like Jake) He wants Fazbender's to thrive, He wants Kids to be happy and make good memories. He's also just in general passionate about his job, trying his best to keep it afloat, hence why he always says 'sweep it under the rug.' He doesn't wamt anything bad to happen, Even in the bad end of dsaf 1. He gets upset and scared, (they all do ofc) But he takes the blame; no matter what; even if it harms HIMSELF he doesn't want the business to go down. He's more worried about Fazbender's itself then well, his own self.

Also adding on to the flipside notes; Jack didn't even want to SAVE Steven once he realized who Dee and Dave found. He complains and complains; it wasn't till Dee and Dave said something that made Jack finally man up and try to save him. While Jack DOES still hate him, Dave on the other hand doesn't as much, as he says "out of all te bosses I had, I liked him. He didn't treat me as if I was subhuman." which, says a lot. He prefers STEVEN over Peter. (Which from what I've seen myself, People prefer Peter as the boss, I guess he's nicer.) Dave may have hated in in dsaf 1, but he still liked him; Steven was strict with everyone; but STILL had SOME compassion, He treated Dave with SOME respect. HE was (maybe) one of the only Bosses Dave trusted and in turn he wasn't as much of a little gremlin as he is in the others. Ie DSAF 2. He seems to try and piss of Peter more than he did Steven, (sure yes, it could be because DD made the first game as a joke, but still) Dave RESPECTED Steven. at least somewhat, which speaks volumes. The only OTHER person he respected (at least, as a higher up) was HENRY. Yet, unlike Henry; Steven didn’t brainwash nor manipulate Dave into doing what he wants. Steven treated him as HUMAN

thinking about him makes me sad. The guy had nobody to help him realise he wasnt Scott so he just acted like he was. It's just what phone guys are programmed and forced to do. others like harry, peter,jake etc etc at least had ppl or memories to remind them that they aren't scott even if they have a hard time understanding it. ultimately they find someone who helps them (harry,jake & roge had eachother) (peter had jack) steven didnt have anyone. he is doomed to die in dsaf 1, you can't create a strong bond with him like u can for peter in dsaf 2 and the phone guys in dsaf 3

also the thought that jack didn't want to save him just........FUCKS ME UP. i think he's a hypocrite for that ngl. yes he has the right to be mad cause he mistreated him and doomed his brother. but dude was hellbend over convincing dee that dave, the child murderer, was redeemable just a month ago. but steven? nah he doest deserve to be saved. even dee wasnt sure about it (and no im not saying this to say that jack is a bad character, i love him and in fact moments like this where he's being a flawed person make me like him more)

also dave being the one to convice jack to save him?? and basically saying that steven kinda treated him like actually human??/vpos ((i love you dave)) like helloooo?? makes me wish we had gotten more of their dynamic
