I like to imagine how it sounds, like if someone cut off a bunch of warts from a human being and stitched them all together into the shape of a heel, and it'd feel kinda squishy but kinda hard at the same time with each step

ughhh that sounds so horrible. my sensory wouldn't be able to — who in their right mind would want to walk around in squishy, squelchy heels?

I don’t know why. But I thought of Blue dressing up as Cinderella, and instead of a glass slipper, it’s a netherwart. So the prince looks for the princess who eats netherwarts and Blue is only one who eats it. - 🪼

my only concern is what the shoe would feel like. i can't imagine netherwart is a nice texture to walk in

april fools

after a lot of conversation with my beta reader,

i decided to discontinue monachopsis.

honestly i felt very unprepared going into this. that's all i want to say. i didn't have the story completely down and it was a lot of work trying to come up with a good storyline, and even now after having deleted everything i'm still frustrated this story is unfinished. maybe one day i'll get to finishing it but until then, monachopsis is not getting any more updates

i don't know how else to explain it other than it's a stylistic choice. if you saw any of my art from 2021 you'd know it wasn't always like this 🙏

no but genuinely, i think ever since i taught myself proper anatomy i just incorporated muscular people into my art style. it kinda happened i don't know what to tell you man

now that i'm actually working on it, i'm very happy to announce that i'm remastering the prologue!

and bits of chapter 1, but you'll find out more about that later.

really only doing it because i think it doesn't read well, and now that i have a better grasp on the plot of monachopsis there are definitely details that i want to change. i have some pretty good progress as of now, and i do plan on making new cover art for it too. but that will all come with time, and with the rate i'm getting stuff done, it may take a short while.

such is the curse for being an ambitious person, i guess.

be sure to save the old version because i am not going back. like i am not keeping any of the old stuff, it will be dead and gone. save the old iteration and compare it if you'd like, i encourage it actually.

and to my singular beta reader: have fun. you'll love this, i think.
