I can’t stop thinking about the high five heroes. i can’t stop thinking about the braces and the sleepovers and the friendship bracelets. I absolutely can not stop thinking about the moment after killing lucy (allegedly) where kipperlily stood by the body waiting for her to come back. how long do we think it took for her to realize she wasn’t coming back? was the plan ever for lucy to come back? when she hid her body in the forest was it the burial of her dearest friend or just another night of hiding evidence? and my most important question: what happened to those poor kids in the mountains?

Do y'all think Lucy was the original vector that introduced the Ratgrinders to Ankarna? Like they're in the Mountains of Chaos, they only have one experienced adventure with them (who very well might be actively working against them), Someone goes down, say Kipperlilly perhaps, and Lucy can't bring her back, she's out of spell slot or diamonds, so she tries for a miracle instead. She reaches out to Ruvina, here in the land where her ancestors also worshiped and it works! Something didn't seem quite right though, for a second she thought she could feel flames flitting across her skin and there was a an anger, born of frustration, growing deep inside her, but, as soon as the feeling came it passed and her friend (*cough* girlfriend *cough*) is alive again, Lucy's tired and she's just happy to be able to save her friends. She has no way of knowing what's to come.

It's honestly wild for Aelwyn to call out Kristen for dressing like she's desperately alone when Kristen has a girlfriend and Aelwyn has 15 cats

Fig started the series as an only child with arguably one parent, she now has:
A bio dad
An adoptive dad
A step dad
A bio mom
A step mom
A 3rd mom that's not technically her mom but they do live in the same home and she does do motherly things for her
3 sisters
Between 1-4 brothers
Possibly another sibling on the way
And a girlfriend who may or may not be waiting for Fig and one of the aforementioned sisters to release her from a geocache

Sandra Lynn wishlist for her extra screen time next week(s?):
- Battle mini! Please fight in the Mountains of Choas! Maybe even a Baxter mini! She doesn't have one yet please!
- Ranger stuff!! Let's learn more about Solesian Rangers!! Brennan please I know you have cool world-building!!
- Goes apeshit if Fig gets hurt. She deserves to protect her daughter for a while. She's done being nice, she deserves to go apeshit
- SPEAKING OF GOING APESHIT: fights Bobby Dawn. Even like, an argument. I want him to try to approach her and her stop him in his tracks. I want her to chew him out for what he did to her. Get your justice queen. Ruin his life back.
- Teaches the Bad Kids Ranger stuff. Like when she taught Adaine how to make a tent. Let her teach them how to survive in the wild you know she wants to
- More moments with Jawbone. Even the little bits like we got earlier in the season. Moments like "Don't let those bastards push you around".
- Her trauma from her own mouth. This is probably the most likely to happen. When Fig (please) asks about Bobby Dawn, I want to hear what happened from her own mouth.

Would like to remind dimension 20 tumblr that both The Rat Grinders and The Bad Kids are... children, and I think it's important that in your discourse, maybe look at things from an angle of child development.

I love the idea that Bobby Dawn isn't actually involved in anything, the Bad Kids just kill him because he's a piece of shit.

having so many thoughts about kipperlily copperkettle actually. like she’s a monster, she’s a girl, she’s a child, she’s angry, she wanted to keep the name high-5 heroes, she felt misunderstood, she doesn’t understand the world, her closest friend (the only one who did understand her!!) is dead and she may have killed her, she wishes she were more tragic, she created her own tragedy and is too angry to know…i know a lot of people love her and a lot of people hate her and i’m not sure if i’m in either camp but i literally cannot stop thinking about her. going to rewatch the last episode just to absorb the lore better. i want to study her in a lab i’m being so normal about this

This new revelation that the rat grinders all died and were brought back by this cleric of the unnamed ankarna, and Yolanda and Lucy’s refusal was what kept them dead but also bound with that sigil, has got me thinking about the events of Yolanda and particularly Lucy’s deaths.
If the rat grinders (+ jace) died in the mountains of chaos, why was lucy’s body in the far haven woods? she also died after spring break, which means she came back from that adventure. There’s also the matter of someone trying to change her paperwork to reflect a new, unnamed divinity, who we now know is ankarna, who is still unnamed to the rat grinders.
I think the rat grinders did kill her, but maybe it wasn’t the first time she died. It’s pretty heavily implied that there was tpk in the mountains of chaos, and if that’s the case, perhaps she was brought back once under the promise of changing her divinity to ankarna, but shortly after realized she couldn’t give up the goddess who meant so much to her and her family, and so she had started the change paperwork but then reverted and the rat grinders confronted her and killed her, and bc she broke her deal to be a follower of ankarna she was branded with that sigil?
OR, maybe she did survive the mountains of chaos! Maybe kipperlilly tried to convince her to convert first with words alone, thinking that it would be like it always was where lucy would support her decisions. She gets the paperwork drawn up and everything. And then lucy refuses. And kipperlilly kills her, calling upon the cleric who brought her back to bring lucy back the same way, so that she would bend to her will by force, bc she couldn’t imagine lucy refusing life to honor her divinity, but she does. and her refusal traps her in her body, and she’s gone perhaps forever.
Maybe the honey is just for kipperlilly to forget. Maybe it’s why she can smile ruefully to kristen as she slits buddy’s throat and tries to force-convert another cleric.

I know kipper cunt is a fictional character but I want y'all to keep something in mind:
fantasy high specifically is a coming of age story that has acknowledged the teen villains are children at the end of the day and should not be written off as evil and nothing else.
romanticizing trauma is a very complicated issue and indicative of deeper psychological problems. Hell, the bad kids only found out she felt this way because they read a file she thought would remain UNSEEN by her peers. As far as we know she has only told Jawbone about this. This is a young girl that is reported to have anger issues before she even went to the mountains of chaos so we can clearly see she isn't well or in a good headspace.
maybe I feel so strongly about this because I in my past romanticized other peoples trauma and I know what its like to be in that mindset. and looking back I can see why I felt that way. I had a complicated life like everyone else but because my life was good on paper I thought I needed something worse to happen to me so my psychological and emotional issues would be valid. I thought I wasn't valid in having issues because in theory I shouldn't have a reason to. I know thats a shitty thing to do which is why I never told anyone about it. its a very frustrating experience to have because you know its wrong but for the life of you, you cannot figure out why you desperately want something bad to happen to you.
I also wanna say this is an experience that is different from Dream Tannaka. Dream is a caricature of this issue but what Dreams character does not cover is how it truly feels to have this issue. you feel like a fucking asshole because you know at the end of the day you dont truly want someone else's trauma but you can't help but crave it for some reason. and you feel like you can't tell anyone about it because you know it will make you look like an asshole. Its very similar to the experience of having taboo intrusive thoughts that horrify you.
I will reiterate that I know kipperlilly is a fictional character but this show is no stranger to discussing complicated topics--especially through villains. ESPECIALLY child villains.

I love the idea of Aguefort students being trained to have incredible self-awareness in terms of where they are in hit points and being very nonchalant about violence, and so friends will settle stupid little arguments by being like "okay whoever gets the other person to bloodied first wins", kinda like their version of rock/paper/scissors.

I just watched the episode and I can’t put it together coherently but I think there’s something to be said about this season and people who are hurt by the system blaming other people suffering under the system instead of the system itself. Something something augefort bad principal

saw someone on tiktok make the comparison of kristen using the name 'phtosynthekids' because it meant something to riz, the same way lucy used 'the high five heroes' for kipperlilly.
A rogue and their cleric :(
