i'd really love to start using notion as i'm trying to go paperless but i don't really know where to start, like i got a few 'templates' and i personalized and stuff but i think i'm not using its full potential :( do u have any tips or anything? do u combine it with other apps or it's just notion?

Notion is a beast of a program, and I am definitely not versed in all of its capabilities yet. However, here’s a few tips to keep in mind if you are just starting out:

1. Notion + Google Calendar: you can combine your google calendar with notion to further analyze your up coming events. Once your calendar is embedded into notion, you are able to organize your events into different ‘views’ so that you can better structure your time!

2. Notion Databases: you can create your own databases of information on notion that you can then link to other notion pages and filter for view/content results. This is super useful as your notion workspace can be your new google drive (with more functionality!). With a pro account (free when you sign up with a student email), you can upload unlimited documents into your database.

3. Notion + Chrome: there is a google chrome extension that you can download that allows you to save or ‘pin’ articles, pictures, videos etc that you find on the internet to a notion list or page. I haven’t downloaded this extension yet, but I plan on making a ‘to read list’ that will allow me to save articles that I want to read later!

i’m still technically on spring break, so when i actually study (you know, instead of “studying”) it’s just really for fun. but, this week my schedule’s going to be packed with AP review sessions and fun classes i’m taking online, so i’ll be forced to work around those schedules.

do you have a lot of work to do for school or university or your job this summer?

not really! everything i’m doing is for my own benefit haha. trying to land an internship or job this fall for credit since i’m not going back to school and it’s required for my major! i’ve applied to over 30 places, but the best part about virtual work is that i can do interviews in my comfy pajamas
