          “  OH  I  COMPLETELY  AGREE  .  i’ll  never  understand  but  let’s  be  honest  ,  a  white  man  can  do  the  bare  minimum  and  still  be  praised  for  it  ,  ”  cece  rolls  their  eyes  .  she  takes  a  seat  across  from  the  younger  woman  .  “  it’s  like  they  don’t  realize  that  a  woman  can  own  her  sexiness  but  i  guess  that’s  what  scares  them  .  a  woman  who  is  smart  ,  sexy  and  knows  it  .  ”

barbie sighs as cece says exactly what she’s thinking. “i swear, this feels like something straight out of AMERICAN PIE or something.” she couldn’t have a look too sour on her face, considering this was technically HER event. “this one definitely won’t be going on the website– once i get all that figured out.” barbie puts the glass to her lips and takes a sip. “please tell me something interesting that’s happened lately to DISTRACT ME.”

          “ say you were plannin’ on tellin’ someone something heartfelt and important, what type of flowers would you bring ‘em? ” rio questions the person closest to him on the flower shop, a slight frown on his features — the usual facial expression for him. “ or at all? i don’t even know… well, everyone likes flowers, right? that’s, like, safe to assume… right? ” and there’s that uneasiness in his stomach again but he refuses to back down from doing what he’s planning to do this time. “ i don’t know what i’m doin’, if that wasn’t obvious. could use some help. ” rio says sheepishly. 

          “  I  HEARD  YELLOW  CARNATIONS  are  the  ones  you  should  probably  avoid  ,  ”  cece  muses  with  a  light  shrug  .  “  not  exactly  sure  why  .  just  something  i  heard  in  passing  .  ”  lips  twist  up  in  thought  at  the  other’s  question  .  “  but  i  guess  the  more  important  question  is  if  this  person  is  a  flower  person  .  ”  head  tilts  to  the  side  as  she  admires  the  selection  of  flowers  .  now  they’re  considering  buying  a  bouquet  for  themselves  .  cece  turns  to  face  the  other  and  offers  a  friendly  smile  .  “  and  if  this  is  a  platonic  or  romantic  thing  .  ”

“IT’S THE FUCKIN’ HOLIDAYS, OTTO. do you seriously think workin’ on the album is the most important thing for us right now?” elijah huffs on the phone as he surveys through the store, doing his christmas shopping. “no, i’m not flyin’ out to los angeles to talk. we’re talkin’ right now, this is what you’re getting. if you piss me off, i’m blockin’ your goddamn number and then you won’t even get access to me.” he threatens, knowing full well the band’s manager was already livid about cyrus blocking him months ago. he wants to pretend he cares about whatever the other man is saying but his patience runs out, stopping in the middle of the isle and locking his jaw in frustration before he practically yells onto his phone: “you work for us, otto, not the other fuckin’ way around! handle this shit yourself!” and ends the call. elijah shoves his phone back onto his jeans, looking up to see that he wasn’t as alone as he thought, someone watching the whole scene unfold. “uh… i’m sorry ‘bout that.” he presses his lips together in a awkward smile, throwing them an apologetic look.

          SHE’S  TRYING  NOT  TO  eavesdrop  on  the  conversation  happening  at  the  table  directly  adjacent  to  her  .  it’s  a  little  hard  given  how  the  volume  of  his  voice  continues  to  increase  .  not  that  cece  can  blame  him  .  eyes  can’t  help  but  flicker  from  their  food  to  the  other  and  back  as  his  frustration  increases  .  cece  reaches  for  her  drink  before  she  chuckles  and  shakes  her  head  .  “  it’s  fine  ,  ”  the  model  brushes  it  off  with  a  light  shrug  .  “  it  is  the  holidays  and  people  just  need  to  understand  boundaries  .  ”

          “  PART  OF  IT  HAS  to  do  with  your  body  language  too  ,  ”  celeste  starts  ,  setting  her  phone  down  .  “  you  just  look  really  ...  tense  and  closed  off  .  i  know  this  sounds  unhelpful  and  obvious  but  just  relax  .  a  friendly  smile  isn’t  just  forcing  a  smile  ,  you  know  ?  ”  they’re  not  entirely  sure  how  else  to  explain  it  but  they  can  only  hope  the  other  understands  .

brook is reasonably sure that b2un are nowhere near celebrity status. after all, this is roswell. alien town doesn’t really have celebrities. even though he has his share of fangirls, he just feels like some college guy who’s in a band. (which is what he is.) that said, apparently this band thing is enough for someone at their record label to gently ask brook to appear more… approachable. smile more, he’d been told. he does have a habit of looking cold and aloof, even though it’s not his intention. “i’m practicing my friendly face,” he tells the other person. “how am i doing? feeling ready to trust me with your personal belongings yet?”

 hi  friends  !  i’m  back  at  it  again  with  my  fourth  muse  .  this  is  celeste  ,  who  more  often  just  goes  by  cece  .  she’s  an  international  model  who’s  only  been  in  roswell  for  a  couple  weeks  to  check  up  on  a  friend  who  went  MIA  .  more  info  can  be  found  below  the  cut  and  as  usual  ,  feel  free  to  hmu  if  you’d  like  to  plot  or  give  this  post  a  lil  LIKE  and  i’ll  eventually  come  bother  you  !

𝟎𝟎𝟏.  celeste margaux beaumont is born with a silver spoon in her mouth in paris , france . her parents were often busy . with an architect for a father and a fashion designer for a mother , they were constantly jetting off to take care of business . it left and her siblings in the care of nannies and various family members . it’s not exactly ideal considering how the beaumont children just wanted their parents to be around .

𝟎𝟎𝟐.  they grow up in the upper echelons of society . and a little spoiled . there wasn’t a thing her parents wouldn’t get for her . well , except time spent with her and her siblings . there never seems to be enough of that . at 15 , celeste jumpstarts her modeling career . they sign up for classes and only confide in her siblings and her aunt about it . despite the connections she knows her mother has , she wants to make it on her own .

𝟎𝟎𝟑.  she’s charismatic and insightful . and a little flirtatious from time to time . there’s something about cece that draws the attention of everyone in the room when they speak . inspiration . conviction . it helps that she’s charming. however , it doesn’t come without its faults . cece burns out easily without a set routine . she’s decisive through and through . she’ll follow through with any plan she sets into motion .

with uncertainty around when she’d be able to work as a model full-time , cece makes the decision to table it for the time being and attend college . she has other talents . and as it turns out , physics is one of them . she’s fortunate enough to have the option to go to any college of choice . in the end , they’re accepted to MIT . cece makes the move from paris to cambridge , massachusetts to obtain a degree in physics . 

𝟎𝟎𝟒.  it’s only after a couple months after graduating that celeste jumps back into modeling . a year later , they start booking shows . she’s immediately swept up in the glitz, glamor and chaos of the industry . they end up befriending other models and forming a close circle of friends within the industry . and while they don’t see each other a lot , it feels like nothing’s changed during every fashion week .

however , this year was a little different . she notices a close friend’s gone MIA . they assume the group would be the first to know if their friend decided to take a break . cece makes the decision to take a hiatus to check on their friend . after discovering where her friend went off to , she finds herself in roswell at their front door . they hope this stay won’t be long but who knows ?

WANTED CONNECTIONS.

 these  plots  are  super  general  gist  of  what  i’d  love  to  see  for  cece  .  however  ,  i’m  more  than  open  to  brainstorm  and  basing  things  on  chemistry  if  need  be  !

best friend ( 01 / 02 ) : she’s only been here for a couple weeks but who’s to say cece didn’t immediately click with this person ?

family friends ( 00 / ?? ) : someone who likely grew up in paris , london or italy . cece has spent summers in those locations because their family ahs friends there .

sibling figure ( 00 / 02 ) : they’re born the youngest of two children so it’d be nice for someone to view them as an older sibling figure / mentor of sorts and go to them for advice

confidants : someone cece feels comfortable around and vice versa . they’re known to share a drink or two if they ever wanna talk about things that go beyond a surface-level friendship

friends : self-explanatory . friendships that formed through a common interest or two

hookups : open to plotting it out so yeah :vibe:

it’s  like  a  ritual  for  her,  as  the  deadline  approaches  for  the  next  column  of  the  daily  record  she  finds  herself  planted  at  crashdown.  a  light  dinner,  two  espressos  and  an  iced-coffee  later  and  she  feels  like  her  head  is  going  to  explode  from  staring  at  the  screen.  that’s  what  leads  her  outside,  table  held,  while  she  slips  across  the  street  to  stand  under  the  light  of  a  streetlamp  and  she  lights  a  weak  joint,  rolled  in  sweet  bubblegum-flavoured  paper.

          THEY’RE  NEW  IN  TOWN  ,  that  much  is  for  sure  .  everything  about  cece  is  a  giveaway  .  from  the  way  she  presents  herself  to  her  accent  .  despite  her  reservations  of  being  in  roswell  ,  she’s  here  for  her  friend  .  so  here  they  are  ,  making  an  effort  to  explore  the  town  .  as  they  near  the  crashdown  cafe  ,  it’s  not  hard  for  cece  to  immediately  spot  lilac  .  “  so  this  is  where  you  went  off  to  ,  ma  chérie  ?  ”

“ ARE YOU ALMOST FINISHED WITH THAT ? ”   aydin holds back a sigh of annoyance. he thought it was pretty obvious he’s been waiting for the machine of theirs that stopped running five minutes ago, from the way he kept giving them side glances, but apparently not.   “ because if you plan on using it for the whole night, let me know now. ”   

          NORMALLY  ,  SHE’D  USE  THE  washer-dryer  unit  at  lilac’s  place  but  cece  had  some  sheets  that  needed  washing  and  would  likely  have  taken  up  the  entire  day  .  they  pull  up  the  timer  on  their  phone  to  see  how  much  time  is  left  .  “  i  have  about  ten  minutes  left  if  you  can  wait  .  ”  smiles  at  the  other  .  “  and  i  can  only  hope  that  everything  is  dry  .  ”
