hi gina, i saw on twitter that antis/solo harries are blaming us larries for what harry said about people who „blur the lines for you“ and that he means us with „there's this corner of the thing, and they're going to say this, and it's going to be really crazy, and they're going to be really mean, and it's not real...“

like they think he’s indirectly calling us out and calling us disrespectful. i know that it’s twitter and i shouldn’t take this serious because i‘m confident in my believes, but i don’t really know what to say or think about that. what do you think?

And this really sums up Harry's promo. I think this article is particularly blatant and anyone who's will to look beyond their "side" can see it. He calls Twitter a shit hole and points fingers at fans (larries, sure, but really, also harries because everyone fucking hates Olivia). He comments about exploring his sexuality (what straight man ever?), but also has multiple quotes from his current "girlfriend". He allows a focuses on DWD, but only spoken about through teh author and Olivia while he speaks himself on the tenderness of the gay sex scenes in MP. One Direction and X Factor are mentioned, but there are plenty of comments about how he's surpassed even his time in "the band". Oh, and don't forget, there's lots of talk about his movies, but also mention of how he doesn't think he's that into making movies and he's already working on HS4.

They really laid out a little something for everyone.

And people are pissed. But just you wait, we'll get a little wholesome Harry content and everyone will forget how upset they are. @daisiesonafield-blog just pointed out to me how they did this after everyone was angry about the deluge of pap shoots and the fucking circus at the restaurant in New York. Suddenly we get a cutesy interview that was done months ago at Coachella and everyone forgot to be mad at Harry.

It's exhausting being his fan. And you either have to roll with it and accept that this is the way it always has been and will continue to be, or you ignore it all and just focus on his music.

But this is how he and his team are playing things. There's something for everyone. He's not going to double down on anything without also having wiggle room for dissenters to clutch at something else he's said that proves their beliefs. I really don't see how this is sustainable, but so far his charm and his talent are carrying him through it.

And just to be clear. I think H is queer. I think he and Louis are together. I think Holivia is a steaming pile of horseshit. My beliefs remain the same. I just don't know how much abuse I care to take in exchange for being vocal about it.

hiiiiiiii so i wanted to tell my closest friends before talking about it publicly but uh i won a radio contest yesterday. i’m meeting louis next week :( i’m eating lunch with louis next week :( it still doesn’t feel real, but i’ve been an emotional mess since i found out. i don’t know how to comprehend it honestly like!!!! i can’t believe it’s happening after all these years?? i’ve been thinking about 16 year old me and how much i gravitated towards him as i grew older. how much solace i found in him as i grew older. how out of touch the thought of meeting him even was back then and :( i really needed this news right now and i’m just really happy and grateful and yeah 🥺✨🕯 i cant even process it.

I don't understand why some people sometimes are pro leaks and sometimes they're not 😭😭😭😭😭

Whoa okay calm down, love! Lol don't get me wrong, I'm totally pro leaks. I even reblogged the leaked scene at first, but actually after watching it... I just don't think it's worth it. People obviously can do whatever they want and *personally* is not like I will be upset to see any spoilers on my dash. But I think there are different kinds of situations, and this one simply doesn't really work for me because I think the scenes will be so much better in the context of the movie, you know? It's not like a song out of an album. There is so much story surrounding these scenes. And I don't think I want to spoil that.

Plus, something that really bothered me is that it came to my attention that *ONLY* sex scenes were leaked. So what is this about? Because you can't really do that and then complain about the way DWD was marketed and all the headlines about Harry Styles having sex. That's fucked up and defeats the whole purpose of the movie and the discussions we've been having for so long. So that really turns me off as well.

Why are critics panning MP so much? I remember there was a screening a while ago and it got such a good reception, but now they've suddenly switched up? Most of the reviews aren't even about the movie and are just doing a character assassination of Harry and aren't acknowledging the rest of the cast, and the ones that are about the movie are getting names wrong and the plot wrong and they're getting so much wrong that they read as if they didn't even watch the movie. Some of the takes are insane and it's obvious they're using clickbait to impress the twitter trolls.

Because of the DWD. I’m sorry but that is very clearly the reason. People are writing bad reviews because of the bad publicity attached to Harry’s name right now and because it will get attention. The Guardian’s review dedicates the first three of eight paragraphs to Harry’s PR. Nothing to do with the film. Absolutely horrifying.

It’s weird because Harry’s name being attached to the project increased the scale it debuted on, but now his name seems to be what people are using as an excuse to attack it.

I’m not actually that bothered by it, though. It’s a gay film, and there’s always going to be a level of homophobia from straight critics who dont want to have to take gay films seriously. The people who actually watched it and understood the significance of the story that it told all love the movie and love Harry’s performance. There are SO MANY organic reviews that compliment him and people who have seen the film who are online saying “these negative headlines are bullshit”.

I think the truth is MP will always be limited because it is gay, but you can’t stop a good movie. Especially not one that is so widely accessible. Maybe people won’t go to the theater because of the bad reviews but if you’re scraping the bottom of the streaming barrel, you may as well watch it… and then they’ll see.
