baby bubble knit sweater
made this bubble knit sweater pattern but baby sized! just used thinner yarn (4 weight) and thinner needles (3.75 mm) than the pattern asked for and it worked out
super cute i think. and a fun color combination.

cable knit baby beanie
another attempt at a cable knit beanie for baby
(first attempt was way too small)
it came together pretty fast using weight 4 yarn and 6.5mm double pointed needles (even though the pattern called for thinner needles)
nice braid looking cable pattern, not too difficult

baby cable knit sweater
made a baby cable knit crewneck sweater with an interesting cable pattern for my baby
it was intermediate but not too challenging. just took a lot of counting and keeping track of where in the pattern you are.
also made a matching knit bow for extra cuteness

used this berroco yarn baby poonam sweater pattern:
made the 6 months size
also crocheted the buttons from scratch

chunky knit cardigan
attempted a chunky knit cardigan with 3 balls of bernat blanket yarn
ended up free styling the edging and made it a shawl collar, but i think i went overboard and made it too wide
so i ran out of yarn and used some orange i had leftover from previous years
used this pattern from lion brand except didn’t do the edging cuz i didn’t have a super long circular needle to pick up the stitches
instead i sort of followed the shawl collar part of the baby cardigan pattern that’s just a vertical strip of rib that i increased then decreased and sewed onto the edge of the cardigan
it turned out to be more like a short robe than a cardigan

this one took about 4 days to make. lots of seed stitch and lots of sewing together the pieces and sewing on buttons
used weight 3 yarn (bernat softee baby) and size 5 needles
used just a little bit more than one ball of yarn (362 yards per ball)

zigzag patchwork baby cardigan
found a funny patchwork knitting pattern where you knit a bunch of squares then sew them together to make a cool zigzag pattern or a checkerboard pattern
found the pattern from woolly thoughts here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/4-by-4-baby-sweater
turned out pretty big, maybe fits a 1 year old
used weight 4 yarn and size 10 needles (6 mm) and made squares diagonally made out of a white triangle and a black triangle
then involved a lot of stiching 48 squares together with the yarn tails

baby knit pumpkin hat
super quick to knit this one
found the pattern here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/berry-baby-hat
here’s the pattern: https://pdf-inline.ravelrycache.com/msabatier/498213/BERRY_BABY_HAT.pdf?AWSAccessKeyId=AKIAJNNSUP6J3RN4WZYQ&Expires=1661909278&Signature=UTPMauTbbtFk8gBhT4IBiqKv3Kw%3D&key_expires=1661909278&key=Y-rsIyovQrssiXhmCpvhUg
made it cuz i happened to have some orange and green yarn lying around
it is supposed to fit newborns but it’s not as small as i expected it to be, maybe because i used 6.5mm double pointed needles instead of size 7 or 8 with weight 4 yarn
can make other fruits with other colors

baby knit pullover
knit this basic sweater and it turned out quite tiny but cute
it’s supposed to fit 6 month old babies but it looks a bit small to me
took about 2 days to knit, using weight 4 yarn and size 5 (3.75mm) circular and double pointed needles (which is smaller than the pattern suggested) (which might be why it’s so small)
got the pattern from yarnspirations: https://www.yarnspirations.com/caron-top-down-knit-pullover/CAK0229-009930M.html
here’s the pattern: https://www.yarnspirations.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-master-catalog-spinrite/default/dw78854092/PDF/CAK0229-009930M.pdf

baby chunky knit shawl collar cardigan
found a cute baby sweater pattern on yarnspirations
i just made the smallest size which is for 6 month olds but not sure if it will fit
found the pattern from here: https://www.yarnspirations.com/bernat-shawl-collar-cardigan/BRK0229-004355M.html?cgid=patterns
here’s the pattern file: https://www.yarnspirations.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-master-catalog-spinrite/default/dw5597cae5/PDF/BRK0229-004355M.pdf
used almost exactly 2 balls of bernat softee chunky yarn (weight 6, 108 yards per ball) in eucalyptus
and just used the double pointed 6.5mm (size 10.5) needles that i had
it took only about a day and a half to make

cropped raglan sweater
finally felt like knitting again
used the same weight 3 baby sport yarn as i did for the previous human sweater
found this pattern on yarnspirations and just took about 8” of length off of the torso:
https://www.yarnspirations.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-master-catalog-spinrite/default/dwfff82980/PDF/CAK0129-030389M.pdf
https://www.yarnspirations.com/stitch-club-raglan-color-block-knit-sweater-%2B-tutorial/CAK0129-030389M.html?cgid=patterns
it took 5 days to finish. one for the front panel, one for the back panel, one for one sleeve, one for part of the second sleeve (fatigue from the previous long nights was settling in), and one for the rest of the second sleeve and the neck and finishing
the arms are the perfect length and fit. i made the largest size of the pattern because my yarn was thinner
very happy with the result

silly dog booties and ear covers
dingle’s ears had abrasions and peeling skin. i think it was from too much sun tanning. so to prevent him from scratching his ears and making them worse i made some booties.
i started with one but then his other ear started looking bad too so i made a second one. then i made another pair so he had a pair for indoor use and a pair for outdoor use.
the booties were really quick and easy to make using this pattern from youtube: https://youtu.be/Ao8AU0NgjKw
i also tried making an ear cover to protect his ears but it looks like a weird bra hat and doesn’t stay on. i just freestyled it, making two domes and connecting them with a wide band.
