Souda/Tanaka - a kiss … as encouragement.

An old magazine that Kazuichi found in the library claimed that fifty-three percent of first dates ended with a kiss (worthy of note, twenty percent apparently ended in nudity), but Kazuichi and Gundam haven’t even held hands by the end of their fifth date.

“See this?” asked Kazuichi from Hajime’s desk as he shook the magazine. His body was twisted around in Hajime’s chair and his face crumpled like its pages.

Across the room, which belonged to Hajime, was Hajime, reclined on Hajime’s bed. He looked away from the report that Makoto emailed him more than an hour ago and cast his frown at Kazuichi. When Kazuichi barged into Hajime’s cottage earlier, Hajime had only been on the first page, and since then, Hajime had made little progress.

For more emphasis, this was Hajime’s cottage, not Kazuichi’s. To be mistaken about this fact would be understandable. Irritating, but understandable.

“We haven’t so much as touched pinkies!” whined Kazuichi, thrashing about both of his hands, but he stopped a few seconds later and then uncurled his smallest finger on his free hand. His other hand kept hold of the magazine.

“There aren’t set rules that you have to follow,” Hajime replied. He sat up slowly, tipping his body forward and slouching. “You just have to use your instincts. You know… sense the mood. It’s different for everyone.”

“But last time I followed my instincts, I got banned from Titty Typhoon,” pointed out Kazuichi. Hajime winced as he remembered. “And the time before that, you all voted that I wasn’t allowed to sing no more.”

DAY 3 : Talent Swap

I don’t have time to write a fic today so I’ll just do Headcanons!

-Gundham first got into mechanics not through cars but through ghost hunting show. Soon enough he was building his own IR lightbox and other essential tool to hunt the paranormal.

-Hope’s Peak discover him thanks to vlog and article he made about his research. Like in canon he considers his main talent to be his link to the spiritual world and not his mechanics.

-Kazuichi first start taking care of animal in primary school. He found a small squirrel who was nearly dying of hypothermia. He managed to warm him up.

-Animal doesn’t like him at first, but he was too stubborn to renounce. He counts on his instinct to understand them and what not to do.

-When they first meet Gundham was investigating the farm because he noticed a cat fixing a wall without moving. When Kazuichi asked what he was doing Gundham told him that animals had a better perception of the supernatural than human and he was checking if there wasn’t any ghost in here. Kazuichi reacted as well as you may imagine.

-Gundham get used to ‘take for a walk’ some animals when he went ghost hunting. Kazuichi called it straight up kidnapping. When Gundham won the affection of the four hamster he was taking care of he ranted about it to anyone who would listen the month that followed.

-Kazuichi name the animals after super sentai show he watch as a kid.

-When Gundham took a liking to Kazuichi he started to drag him along in his ghost hunt under the pretense that the animals would be more reassured if the Ultimate breeder were with them.

-When Kazuichi started to like him back he started to invite him when he had to travel to far away countries like Argentina or Kenya ‘if he wanted to see the spirits of these places by himself’.

-Everyone except the main concerned saw right through it and quite seriously couldn’t believe it how dense they were.

-As ultimate despair (Yes I’m doing it!) Gundham used his technology to build Monokuma at Junko’s demand, but, he also used his ghost hunting tool to prove the existence of ghost and demons and show that even in the after life you couldn’t escape despair. And giant robot too. Because to have ghost you first need dead people, preferably people who died suddenly and painfully, and a giant robot filled the part nicely.

-Kazuichi on the other hand took a liking of creating a human zoo that would be visited only by animals and human safari where they would end up trampled to death or eaten alive.

-It’s during that time they ‘got together’ if you can call it that. It was an abusive relationship driven by the belief the other didn’t reciprocated their own feeling. The other Ultimate despair who knew better were delighted to watch the show.

-In the Neo world program their first meeting goes a bit differently. They are introduced to each other on the beach but they don’t really talk up until Gundham surprised Kazuichi trying to get in the Old Lodge before they got the permission from Usami. He warns him about angering the spirits (as he thought Usami to be one) and they soon fall back in their old habit.

-In his version Gundham uses his talents with mechanics to kill Nidai. The rest goes the same except for the fact that Chihiro was alive in his version and they were the one to restore their avatar because ‘Seriously guys the data doesn’t just disappear in thin air’.

-When they woke up their relationship is in shambles. Kazuichi didn’t remember what he did as ultimate despair but Gundham did and couldn’t handle what he did to him and what Kazuichi did to him too. Is the second one who died to woke up after Mikan. As soon as he is up and about he joined force with Chihiro to wake the others, and to avoid Kazuichi.

-Kazuichi feel pretty much abandoned between Hinata who’s not completely himself and Gundham who refuse to interact with him he’s left alone to discover what he did as a Ultimate despair.

-Kazuichi starts to go alone in Jabberwock Island wilderness to find animals who might need his help since it feels like humans doesn’t want him with them. One evening he doesn’t go back to his room.

-Owari the first to notice his absence when she saw there was one ration of the day left in the fridge. When she tells the other Everyone freaked out. Gundham was nearly excluded of the search party because he was so frantic everyone thought he was reverting back to be an Ultimate despair.

-As it turned out Kazuichi was one miles behind the ruins of the farm, helping a bear giving birth to her cub. How or why there was a bear on his island no one could tell, but it was the end of the world so it was far from the craziest thing out there.

-Gundham let his displeasure with the situation known very loudly. It escalated into a fight that ended up with him punching Kazuichi in the face and having an immediate mental breakdown when he saw the look of fear in the other eyes. Naegi and the other call Gekkohara to the rescue after that.

-It took month of therapy before Gundham agreed to shared séance with Kazuichi to open up on their relationship as Ultimate Despair. It was horrifying to Kazuichi at first, but he did his best to not show it too much in front of Gundham. After a lot of séance Kazuichi told Gundham that he was probably thinking the mechanic didn’t loved him back and it was why he agreed to be in such a toxic affair, not just to inflict despair on Gundham through abuse.

-Gundham doesn’t believe him at first, but when he talks about it with Sonia and Mahiru the two confirm what Kazuichi said.

-Two years after the start of his therapy Gundham properly confess to Kazuichi and they start to date. They chose to take things slowly and they continue to see Gekkohara.

-Gundham started to develop machines that’ll work with exorcism to free all the spirits that were created by the Incident as well than rehabilitate energy central and communication.

-Kazuichi tamed some animal to help with repaired and rescue to compensate the places when they lacked material and technology until his lover could construct the machine necessary.

-They married ten years after the Incident in New Novoselic, Sonia is the one that marry them of course. Hinata is Kazuichi’s witness and Gekkohara is Gudham’s since Sonia can’t play two roles at once.

And that should be it! I’m finishing school at 1:30 pm tomorrow so I’ll have more time to write but I may do headcanons again to start working on Day 5. Anyway, hoped you enjoyed!

kazuichi and gundham sprites that look perfect together

part two - because part one did insanely well

kazuichi will fight for gundham!! or at least claim to. something about the scared/angry sprites together makes me endlessly happy.

they are looking - at the devas!!! kaz loves the devas - we all know it. he looks so excited to see them. i believe this is the best use of the sparkling eyes souda sprite, and you cannot change my mind.

them being happy? it absolutely fuels me. the closed eyes, the smiles, they all make me so happy :) i'm love them.

hghnghn the pure unadulterated eye contact!! this set is likely my favourite of them all. they are meant to be together. the way that they are looking at each other absolutely kills me.

Sorry I had to take a break from these due to some family and work things! But I’ll try to get a few more of these out today and tomorrow! 

Soudam:

Who asks the other on dates: Gundham asks out Kazuichi! So their relationship really started with Kazuichi pining over Sonia and considering Gundham a rival. It took Gundham asking him out (in the most convoluted Gundham-y way possible) for Kazuichi to realize that Gundham actually liked Kazuichi and not Sonia! 

Who is the bigger cuddler: So neither of them seem outwardly very cuddly, but they are both secretly cuddly people! Gundham is actually probably the cuddliest of the two!

Who initiates holding hands more often: Gundham initiates it more! Kazuichi gets self conscious about what people think of him, so isn’t big on PDA, even little things like holding hands. Gundham, on the other hand, really doesn’t care what mere mortals think of him and therefore has no problem grabbing Kazuichi’s hand whenever he feels the need.

Who remembers anniversaries: Gundham is better at remembering! Kazuichi isn’t bad at remembering by any means, but he can sometimes lose track of things when he gets caught up with his projects!

Who is more possessive: Kazuichi is surprisingly possessive of Gundham! Once they start dating, he tends to be the more possessive of the two, craving attention from Gundham and being more overall needy. (That being said, neither of them is super possessive to the point that it’s a problem or anything!)

Who gets more jealous: Kazuichi also tends to be the more jealous of the two, as well. He sometimes gets jealous if Gundham is spending a large amount of time with someone or something. (He loves his animals after all)

Who is more protective: Gundham is the more protective one. Kazuichi has had to stop him from trying to curse some bothersome mortals that were being rude to Kazuichi more than once. :P

Who is more likely to cheat: Hmm I suppose out of the two I’d say Kazuichi.

Who initiates sexy times the most: I think that Gundham initiated it the first time, but after it’s a part of their relationship that Kazuichi initiates it more often.

Who dislikes PDA the most: Kazuichi dislikes PDA more! He is more self-conscious and cares more about what people think than Gundham does. Gundham is respectful of Kazuichi and doesn’t do too much PDA with him.

Who kills the spider: Neither, the spider is part of Gundham’s project: Demon Spider Army! Kazuichi is not super fond of this new side project.

Who asks the the other to marry them: Gundham does, and it’s as weird and wild as you’d expect.

Who buys the other flowers or gifts: I can definitely see Gundham bringing home weird trinkets and flowers for Soda. (Kazuichi lowkey loves gifts and is super appreciative) Kazuichi, on the other hand, builds Gundham stuff! Gundham’s favorite thing that Soda has built is a few tiny cars for his hamsters!

Who would bring up possibly having kids: Gundham probably would, although he’d bring it up in such a Gundham-y way that Kazuichi wouldn’t know what he was talking about until about halfway through the conversation. (If they have kids Gundham definitely calls them ‘Demon spawn’ in the most loving way possible.) 

Who is more nervous to meet the parents: Kazuichi for sure. I mean who wouldn’t be terrified to meet Gundham’s parents?

Who sleeps on the couch when the other is angry: Kazuichi goes to his lab, while Gundham takes a walk outside. They both need space and neither really sleep after a fight.

Who tries to make up first after arguments: Kazuichi probably does, but they’re both pretty stubborn so it can take a hot minute for that to happen.

Who tells the other they love them more often: Gundham says it more, but like he doesn’t say it say it, he says it in his own strange Gundham way! “You are worthy of my darkness, my diabolical and fiendish Prince of metal!” “Yeah yeah, love you too, ya weirdo.”
