Describe your hometown. What's it like there? I talked about this with an old friend from high school and we both agreed that it’s a cult. It’s a teeny tiny blip of a town on the side of a highway with nothing but a massive church, a bible college, and a gas station so obviously it’s just all tightwad christians. I never want to go back.

What did you do yesterday evening? We had a lovely little charcuterie board and watched Spirited! It was quite lovely and actually started to feel like Christmas.

Are you comfortable with leaving the house without any makeup on? Oh yeah!

Do you have any expensive hobbies? Sewing can certainly be expensive but I thrift a lot of my supplies, which keeps costs down and makes it a little more unique and fun.

Have you ever been really passionate about something but then lost interest? If so, what was it? I used to LOVE to write. I literally wrote novels. It was all I thought about. But then that dream got crushed and I gave up.

First things first, did you have a good year? Honestly, no. This has been the worst year we’ve had in a long time and I’m ready for it to be over.

How old did you turn this year? 28!

Do you feel your age? No, I feel like 25 but that might have something to do with the pandemic.

Did your appearance change in anyway? My hair has gone through the ringer this year in terms of color but that wasn’t my choice, nor my fault. But it’s gotten longer and I've adjusted the way that I do my makeup a lot.

If you traveled, where did you go? I’m not much of a traveller. We did a few in state roadtrips but that's it.

Which fashion trends did you love? Which fashion trends did you hate? I’ve fallen in love with neutrals and matching comfy sets + square necklines. I don’t looove the Y2K fashion that's come back, just because I lived through it the first time and it was cringy enough then but that’s just a personal preference!

What was your favorite article of clothing this year? Post a pic if possible? I discovered square necked tops and I got one that’s a ribbed texture and a soft brown color and I love it!

Did you make any big permanent changes this year? I went from a maximalist to a minimalist and that really changed my relationship with money, shopping, and Christmas. It's been a really hard but very rewarding change. I work better without so much STUFF everywhere.

Have you ever had to call the cops on someone else before? I called the cops because it was like 90 degrees and someone had left their dog locked in their car.

Have you ever been to court for something other than a traffic ticket? I got married in a courthouse if that counts.

Do you have a specialty dish that you're really good at making? I have lots, actually! I’m a really good cook.

What video games did you play when you were growing up? Video games weren't a huge part of my childhood but I did play a lot of Sims when we had a computer that would run it and I remember playing Mario Kart and Crazy Taxi with my cousins.

Are you good at making big decisions alone or do you tend to seek approval from others? My husband and I make big decisions together. If it’s something I’m unsure about, I’ll consult different opinions online but it’s very, very rare that I’ll talk to a real life person about it. I just think its better to make your decisions privately rather than getting everyone you know’s input.

Does your town or city have good public transport, or is it easier to drive? You have to have a car here. There’s a very limited bus route and no taxi service.

 What was the last cocktail you drank? Oh god, I don’t know. I don’t drink very often.

How often do you take a nap during the day? I’ve been napping a lot more frequently lately (which isn’t saying much as it used to be never) but it’s still pretty sparse. I would say once every couple weeks?

What social media platforms do you use? Instagram and TikTok are my two main ones and then I check Facebook every so often but I have notifications turned off and I don’t post anything. I only ever use Tumblr for porn and surveys.

Are there any foods you hate the smell of but like the taste, or vice versa? Those two things go pretty hand in hand. If I don’t like the smell of something, the taste is gonna make me wanna puke.

Have you ever accidentally locked yourself out of your place of residence? Ugh yes. One time I walked out the door and down the stairs and I looked up to my husband shutting the door behind him and then asking, ‘you grabbed the keys, right?’ I never grab the keys, he does. So we had to sit and wait for an hour and a half for our landlord to show up and let us back in. I was also having an extreeemely heavy period that day and I literally soaked my pants while we were waiting. Good thing they were black.

When did you last lace up a pair of shoes? The other day when I wore boots outside. I have to untie and retie them every time I put them on.

How much is too much for clothes? It really depends. I’m plus sized so what I have to spend on clothes is more than what a regular person would spend. Tops should be $20 and under. Leggings $15 and under. No more than $50 max on jeans. No more than $25 for a sweater/hoodie/cardigan. I shop clearance and other sales as frequently as I can. 

How soon do you normally decorate for holidays? I used to always do it the day after Thanksgiving but that felt too late because we almost always take the tree down the day after Christmas. So I put it up at the beginning of November and now it feels like its been up too long. Idk. Christmas doesn't feel exciting anymore and I'm struggling with it.

Are there any important things happening this week? Not that I'm aware of!

Do you know anyone who is terrified of dogs? My mom had a friend who had a daughter that was friends with my little sister and so she would come home with my little sister some days when her parents were working and then her older brother would stop by when he was done with school to pick her up and walk her home and he was TERRIFIED of dogs. One day he came by to pick her up and it was literally -35 outside and this poor kid chose to sat on the porch and wait for his sister to get her stuff together, rather than come inside because our dog was there. I even put the dog in the garage and he still wouldn’t come inside and warm up. I felt SO bad.

How old were you when you made your first big purchase? I bought my first iPad when I was 17 if that counts? 

What last made you angry? My mother. She continually shows blatant favoritism for my little sister and its so fucking frustrating to be 28 years old and jealous of your sister because your mommy loves her more but like...what the hell have I ever done to be continually forgotten about and left out? do animal furs upset you? I think it’s gross in this day and age as we don’t need fur to keep warm but I don’t see a problem with purchasing vintage furs. It’s the best way to honor the animals now.
