1008 The One With The Late Thanksgiving
Monica giving Chandler adoring eyes and Chandler doesn't take his eyes off her.
She slides her arm around him and then her hand doesn't move from where she's gripping the hair at the nape of his neck. Completely oblivious to what else is going on.

He always gives the most comforting looking hugs. And this one is for both of them. The stroking in her hair, the kiss on the temple, the stroking down her shoulders and her holding his shoulders and then holding hands. They hold each other for dear life and even though they know they need to talk, they don''t let go.

The way he grabs her hand, because he knows she'll need it, but also because they're a team and they're doing this together and he also needs the support otherwise he's not strong enough to make this speech either.

1009 The One With The Birth Mother
Gosh, sometimes you watch his comedy so much that you forget how good Matthew is at drama and reality and emotion. What a talent. Gone too soon.
He never breaks into her space. He never raises his voice, or lowers it. There's no manipulation in anything he does or says. He's never aggressive or angry. But he's also not undignified or pleading in the sense that he doesn't beg or get on his knees.
Instead, he's honest. He gives her their pros and cons as honestly as he can.

1009 The One With The Birth Mother
"But you did like us." And trust me, I understand why you would like my wife to mother your child that you want to give up to the best possible candidate.
Chandler, faced with someone who might change his life, raves about his wife.
"My wife's an incredible woman."
It's not just complementary, or saccharine, it's brilliantly indicative of their marriage -- she's my world and I love her and we argue and compromise and she always has wonderful ideas. I was in the business of accounting and numbers and now the business of good ideas, and Monica's are the ones that I rave about when given the chance. She has so much love to give if you just open your eyes and look at her.

This hug is so excited and sweet. Monica remained in that room, terrified but allowing her husband to speak for her. HIs moment and then his dance. The way she holds the back of his head. The way she strokes his cheeks, beaming at him. The way he wraps his arms around her so tight. The way he strokes her.

1010 The One Where Chandler Gets Caught
According to the blooper reel, Matty's line in this is a blooper. But it's been kept in.
They're so excited about this house and are both so in love with the idea of their future in it. Look at the way Monica smiles at him and he watches her so adoringly. Monica laughing at Chandler joking about stress smoking. Rolled Sleeves.

1010 The One Where Chandler Gets Caught
All the "we." Chandler and Monica almost never discusses any future, or anything happening to them in the singular, and yet it's never toxic or codependent. It's just giddy.
Monica laughing at her husband pawning off the responsibility onto her. But also, everyone knows the girls are more likely to listen to Monica, and Chandler can't lie to save his life, so really, he's being responsible.

1008 The One With The Late Thanksgiving
This scene to me is just so quintessential F.R.I.E.N.D.S. It's got Mondler as this mini group within the wider group, all touchy and smiley and happy, and it's got their found family so excited for them that they can't keep still and wrap themselves up in a group hug.

1008 The One With The Late Thanksgiving
"I can't believe what you did" after all the work Monica put in that she didn't want to do. "Monica's going to kill you" and then runs to intercept Monica so she doesn't hurt Joey, but also so she doesn't blame him. And Monica doesn't even care! And that terrifies him. It shocks him and then it scares him because that's not like Monica when there's this much mess and she slaved away, it had to be one hell of a phone call. She's just so elated and silent and terrifying in that silence and you can see all that hope from earlier written on Chandler's face and also dying a little.
