Also including my own tip: you do not need a double ended aux cable to do this on a computer- Audacity can record any sound that outputs to your headphone jack internally.

The settings you use for this may be different, but for *me*, you click under Audio Setup, change the Host to Windows WASAPI and Recording Device to whatever says (loopback) at the end. Keep in mind this will record *any* desktop audio, so for good measure, mute any applications you do not want to be in the final mix (because the last thing you want is random notification pings in your music).

After you set that up, press record, let the whole playlist/album/whatever play out, then stop recording. When that's done, look under Edit > Audio Clips > Detach at Silences (that should work 99% of the time, but you can also manually split apart the different tracks with Edit > Audio Clips > Split, with your cursor between the tracks)

Then, select each section, press ctrl+b to label each section, and then File > Export Audio, tell it to export Multiple Files, split based on labels.

For a nice final touch, use MP3Tag to get all the metadata looking pretty. It can automatically find metadata for most albums, but it can also just make batch editing in general so much easier. (Like, for example, recording podcasts, and setting track number to be episode number, artist to be the host, the album name to be the podcast name, and using the podcast's image as album art. or splitting an audio book into an album, with each chapter being a different track. possibilities are endless.)

it's definitely my predisposition to extreme frugality+redneck engineering, but i'm now obsessed with creating things literally without buying Anything. no supplies no tools no nothing, only the stuff you can just find outside, like Plants, Sticks, and Rocks.

I'm making textiles with nothing but foraged plant materials using no tools except sticks. Nature allows you to do this! There's no rules! I mean okay well maybe there might be some rules sometimes but they're just weak human rules! The plants themselves? They're like "Why sure! You can make yarn with nothing but fibers from the dead stem I don't need anymore, a couple sticks from that tree over there, and your own body and mind! Why not?"

Plants like to give us gifts! And nobody has the power to stop them!

I suspect that it may be a common Asexual experience but when I imagine something as "sexy", I imagine something that makes your heart beat fast, that gives you goosebumps, that captures all your focus and puts a hitch in your breath and an odd tingle on the back of your neck, that is exciting and enjoyable to think about.

they should do an MMO where everyone is a shapeshifter and you can go live with animal herds in the wild if you want for a time but you are never entirely one of them, noting that the wild animal npcs partake in behaviors with or make calls to one another that you may not understand the logic of but can try to learn to repeat the musical cadence of. this is true of even the human npcs, whose musical language is the most intricate and complex to learn of all and who will ostracize you readily if you do not use it properly. other players are not marked as players and there is no chat feature. as an elk you may not know if the wolf chasing you is an npc or another player who does not know the same of you, and there is no chat. maybe the players would develop a sort of musical cadence to identify other shifters. no one would like this game and it would not be fun. but i would like it
