Hello !

I am writing to you as an old fan of heartstopper, back when you were posting them on tumblr and now I have all books in my bookshelf whom my sister brought back home as presents from her English library in Belgium, and I am really happy how much the world love them.

(And I am sorry for all typo and mistakes, as you might've guessed I'm not English)

The thing is, I found myself unable to read them. Still, i asked her to bring them back to me every time a new book was out. I haven't been able to watch the show, I've tried 2 episodes but couldn't do more ...

Since I've discovered Nick and Charlie on tumblr years ago they've had a place in my heart, and I am still trying to get to them, to reach for the place you created, but my brain keep pulling me out. I am so sad that this world cannot be my happy place for the time I would read the comics or watch or day dream about a love that strong and pure. I think that of all of the things my mental illnesses are taking away from me, those kind of places are the hardest for me to grieve. I wanna go to that magical land where friendship are sacred, and love is true. Where Sarah Nelson is a mom. But I can't.

And every time I see glimpses of HS on my insta page or twitter or whatever it makes me unbelievably sad. I can not watch Charlie suffer. That's it.

Back in the day I messaged you on tumblr, asking for a TW. And afterwards there were. But before I knew that this story would be so triggering for me, I had already fall for your story. And I can't grieve what I've found there.

So, where I wanted to go is : could you please tell me what happen to them please ? Do Charlie heal ? Will he be happy or forever having cals labelled on the food he eat ? Will his self harms scars disappear or will he relapse times and times again ? Is Nick doing alright ? Will Nick be alright ? Having your love one suffering when you're so young and being their corner stone .. did it damage him ? Did he grew up and think peacefully about his teen love romance or will he forever carry that wound on a part of his heart ?

Did Charlie's friends stay by his side ?

Do Charlie adopt a dog later on ? To keep him company when things go down, and somehow the dog will look so much like a dog he used to know ?

I guess they all don't have a happy ever after, but did they all find peace and solace ?

Anyway, I hope you have a very nice day and that my message haven't bother you. If that was the case, please be sure that I am very sorry for that.

Looking forward to a day I'll be able to read those books and say to myself "what a great story that was"

WELL. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out. I wrote this video treatment over a year ago and really wanted to play out symbolically how it’s felt for me to have the fans helping me reclaim my music. I had my heart set on Joey King, Taylor Lautner and Presley Cash starring in it. Joey and Presley had been in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they are back and so ridiculously bad ass!! Taytay is INCREDIBLE in this (didn’t have a stunt double!) and shout out to Tay Lautner for being so awesome to hang with on set. The Tale of 3 Taylors 😆 I always wanted to direct fight scenes/a heist storyline and had the most incredible time plotting this out with my amazing DP Jonathan Sela. So proud of this one.

“I know the way, trust me, I’m the stupid Chosen One,” Draco said in a mocking tone.

“Can you shut up already?” Harry snapped. “It was your idea to go out for mushrooms.”

“And it was your idea to leave the path! Now look! Who knows what lives in this forest, and how hungry it is!”

Harry rolled his eyes, but tightened his wand nonetheless. There was something spooky about that forest. A wolf howled in the distance.

“See? There are werewolves,” Draco said. Harry noticed that he had his wand out too.

“The moon isn’t out yet. I’m sure we’re close to the path now. I saw that tree before.”

“How do you know? All the trees look the same.”

“No, that one looks like a cock.”

“I don’t know what kind of cocks you’ve seen, but cocks don’t look like that.”

A pair of amber eyes suddenly appeared on the trunk sending shivers down their spines. Draco screamed.

“It’s just an owl!”

“You were scared too! Fuck, I dropped the mushrooms.”

“Draco… We’re idiots.”

“Not me, you.”

“We can just apparate home!”

Draco looked at him, and they bursted out laughing. Another wolf howled, making them scream again.

“Bed is too small for my tiredness…”

“Hm?” Harry murmurs as he blinks into consciousness, his eyes adjusting to the darkness of the room. He’s wrapped in warmth, and as he shifts a gentle hand comes up to cradle his cheek.

“Shhh,” Draco whispers, and Harry immediately settles back down into his husband's arms. “You were restless, I’m just singing. Go back to sleep.”

“‘Kay,” Harry whispers back. He tucks his nose into the crook of Draco’s neck, drifting back to a half-sleep as Draco’s hums low in his throat and pulls Harry closer. After a few moments of quiet, Harry shifts again. “Will you keep singing?”

“Oh,” Draco says softly. “Yes, alright.” He clears his throat as though embarrassed. Perhaps he is– Harry has only ever heard him sing along to the radio. Not like this, in the tender darkness of their room, his only accompaniment the hush of the winter wind outside.

“Give me a hillside of trees,” Draco sings, his voice low and wavering but true on the lilting notes. “Tuck a cloud up under my chin. Lord, blow the moon out please.”

“Where’d you learn this?” Harry asks against Draco’s skin.

“Hmm. My mother. It’s an old Muggle song, I think. She told me it was our secret.”

“‘S nice,” Harry says, heavy with sleep, and Draco exhales a soft laugh.

“There’s another verse.” Draco clears his throat again, singing along the same melody as before. “Rock me to sleep in a cradle of dreams. Sing me a lullaby of leaves. Tuck a cloud up under my chin. Lord, blow the moon out please.”

A realization coalesces in Harry’s mind, tender and lovely. “Do you always sing to me when I have nightmares?”

“I– I do,” Draco says softly, and Harry pulls him close, wrapped up in this gentle love.

Lillies. Roses. Daffodils.

Draco runs his finger over the garden etched on Harry’s forearm. “Whenever the need for whiskey got strong enough, I cut it with a different type of pain. It’s how I’ve stayed sober a year.”

He ignores the way Harry shivers at his touch; the way he shivers at Harry shivering at his touch. Slips a finger under Harry’s rolled-up plaid shirt and peers beneath it. Color gives way to black lines and dots. Ursa Major. Hercules. Orion.

“It’s not just flowers.”

“No. Flowers are for the alcohol cravings. Stars are for —” Harry lets out a deep breath. “Bloody bond is impossible. Stars are for whenever I felt the tug toward you.”

He pulls his collar down a little. Dozens of twinkling stars, and the moon. Draco would give anything to undo the rest of the buttons and see the night sky.

It’s just the bond, he thinks. “The bond broke last June,” he says.

Harry shrugs and offers Draco his other arm. Gemini, angry and red, still covered in plastic. Fresh.
