i'm fascinated by taylor & lisa i really am. need to conduct some intense lisa studies so i can fully Get Her. i think it's like. really really interesting that during her interlude she thinks that taylor would be better at using her power than her, imagines brian telling her "something we can use" to keep herself focused, and then calls herself stupid. like i'm fascinated by the dynamic where both of their powers are more or less the fantasy of trauma-induced hypervigilance actually Sort Of Working--lisa constantly monitoring, manipulating, and hyperanalyzing her loved ones, taylor always knowing when & how someone is planning to hurt her + actually being capable of stopping it. & of course the catch is that taylor can stop people from hurting her now but she can't stop the ways she's already been hurt from making her drive herself to ruin over never feeling good enough. & lisa can save taylor from the outside world but she can still never save her from herself--this time she's painfully aware of it as it happens, and she's desperately trying to stop it, but she can't keep taylor from killing herself in slow motion. i'm fully just rambling here because i don't have a coherent thesis yet and you gave me an excuse 2 try forming thoughts but like. waves hands. fascinated by the ways in which they're similar, fascinated by lisa desperately placing herself above taylor & trying to manipulate her into better mental health, fascinated by taylor being the one (1) person lisa ever trusts enough to lean on, fascinated by how often taylor calls lisa 'tattletale' even out of mask because even she never gets to fully see past the tattletale persona. i need to attend a seminar or discussion about lisa and taylor it could fix me. like they are not making it out of the homoerotic codependent highschool friendship alive. fascinated by lisa calling taylor 'kiddo' and 'hon' like they aren't literally the same age. fascinated by lisa just outright admitting to taylor that despite taylor being her closest friend she can't talk to her abt her problems because taylor is only her friend Bc of those problems. and then they never even have time to unpack All That. it rlly is like. they would never be friends in any other universe but in this one they're everything to each other!

It’s in us, it’s in the stars, the planets, the trees. We are built to exist, yet we are also the building blocks of existence. If we keep both in mind, we can live in balance all the time.
