Hello! I’m new here so I wanted to introduce myself, ask a question, and give a suggestion for a possible animal we can choose to have the MCs associated animal. So my question is about Nalis and his associated animal! I was wondering what made you decide to make Nalis’ associated animal a common cuttlefish?

Nalis is weakly associated with his animal, so it doesn’t change too much for him. But I thought it was fitting to make Thaumo’s rival another cephalopod that’s known for being smart and sneaky. And cuttlefish are very smart and sneaky!! For it being common cuttlefish specifically - I just think they’re cute and wanted an excuse to draw them for his pfp & reaction pics lol

Please feel free to suggest another animal for the mc’s associated animal! I’ll do my best to include it 💕

Yes, when we meet Thaumo he notices that we have a partner (⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠³⁠˘⁠)✨(⁠^⁠ ⁠^⁠*⁠)❤

He would try to kill our partner immediately or impersonate him to end the relationship with Mc 💔

Thaumo would impersonate your partner first! His goal would be to help you move on ASAP - he doesn’t want you to care about your (ex)partner. Thaumo would impersonate your partner, make them act in ways you find extremely unpleasant, and try to push you into breaking up with them.

Thaumo is big on isolating you, but having it be all by your choice! In the demo he was trying to do something similar with Nalis. During that one lunch scene with “Nalis”, Thaumo was trying to destroy your trust in Nalis so you’d decide to end the friendship. That’s his approach to anyone that you actually care about (so he can’t just kill them off fast because you’d be sad & still caring and thinking about them).

What is Thaumo's economic situation like 💸💲?

It’s very very good! Thaumo tends to be secretive about the details, but he is getting a lot more money than any other accountant at Orca Finance.

If i take them to the movies what would they want to watch? What snacks are they getting?

Nalis would enjoy monster movies like Godzilla! I think he’d like some sci-fi & horror movies too, especially the more creative & weird ones. He doesn’t like slow/“slice of life” type movies, but as long as he can joke with you during the movie he’ll have fun and be happy to spend time with you. He’d get popcorn, but he’d squeeze lemon on it.

Thaumo’s main goal when watching a movie is to make you hold his hand or cuddle him, so he’s most likely to choose movies based on that. His constant need for your attention just doesn’t have an off switch. He’d also enjoy movies about people trying to escape a location or situation - he likes thinking about how he’d get out of those situations (and also taking ideas to corner/trap you if needed.) He’d either get a cherry or blue raspberry ICEE or something to share with you!

I have a feeling Thaumo would like playing Stardew Valley since he can grow all the plants he wants and have a pet cat that actually likes him. But what if MC were to marry one of the NPCs in the game and not him? 🌝

I haven’t played Stardew Valley yet, but I can absolutely see Thaumo enjoying that!!

(Please keep in mind that I don’t know much about how Stardew Valley works). Thaumo knows that it’s just a game, but he’d feel grumpy about it. He’d make sure you’re very aware of how lonely and sad his character is. He’d also “accidentally” get rid of your spouse (if possible? I don’t think you can kill NPCs that I’m aware of) or he’d “accidentally” upload one of those character replace mods that just turns your spouse into another version of him.

It seems like a super cute game. I’m planning on playing it eventually, with the yandere mods for the characters.

Thaumo would absolutely love being put in your backpack and taken on adventures! If you planned on dumping him at the dumpster he’d break down sobbing and begging you to let him stay with you. He’d try to negotiate by offering to just sit in a trash can in your home instead.

I’m not the most knowledgeable about this, so it’s a little hard for me to guess. I think it’s fun to try, though! 💪😤 I know people care most about Nalis & Thaumo but I’ll try it for everyone!

I think Thaumo would be INFJ or INFP.

I think Nalis would be ENTP or ESTP.

Tremo is INTP! I’m more confident about hers because it’s the same as mine.

Dr. Willani is INFJ or INTJ.

The unnamed BERE agent is ENFP.

Orca is ENTJ.

I know personality database has a “most likely to” section. I tried to find a “most likely to die” one but it’s not there 😔 so Johnsoni doesn’t get one.

What would an interaction between Thaumo as a child and Thaumo as an adult be like? ⊂⁠(⁠´⁠･⁠◡⁠･⁠⊂⁠ ⁠)⁠∘⁠˚⁠˳⁠°

Would they fight over Mc trying to fight over who gets more attention and affection (⁠ ⁠◜⁠‿⁠◝⁠ ⁠)💕?

If you’re in the room: They will 1000000% fight for your attention. Child Thaumo would probably have an advantage because his age makes it easier for him to act pitiful / like he needs your help and care. Adult Thaumo would try to convince you that you both need to get to the lab ASAP to look over finances (kids aren’t invited but that’s not his fault - you both need to work!)

If you’re not in the room: Adult Thaumo would give child Thaumo advice. Adult Thaumo would talk about adult you & the best way to approach you… He’d also talk about which people to look out for and what their weaknesses are (if he knows them).

Yes - as a child Thaumo was already very possessive of you!

Thaumo got jealous easily, and he’d always try to get your attention back by crying, suddenly “needing help”, or something along those lines.

If the other kid from your childhood ever gave you anything, Thaumo would always “accidentally” break it.

Thaumo was also extremely clingy and never wanted to leave your side. He had a habit of following you absolutely everywhere.

How well would Thaumo & Nalis work together if they absolutely had to? Like MC gets kidnapped or something and neither of the boys can free MC on their own

If they can complete their tasks separately (like this) then they’d make a good team!

If they have to spend a lot of time together things would be more tense. They’d focus on saving you because that’s the priority for both of them, but their distaste for each other would still be very obvious. They’d both be too worried over you to engage in their usual passive aggressive behavior, but the second you’re safe they’d be looking for opportunities to backstab each other 😅

Thaumo gets aroused whenever you tell him what to do, and he gets extremely aroused by any intimate contact with you, so he was already very horny by the time you’re both on the bed. He definitely wanted more!

In this situation you really surprised him, he was scared of scaring you off, and he was starting to feel overwhelmed with love and desire and a lot of feelings. That’s why he ended up just clinging to you and crying instead of making a move lol.

I WAS IN A SLUMP AND HAPPENED TO SEE YOU GAME ON ITCH.IO AND DECIDED TO PLAY IT. Looking at the description I was 100% I was going to favour Thaumo. Went into the game all like "I'mma pick all the choices for Thaumo, IDC about that blond rando-" And then I played the game and Nalis became my absloute favourite and completely stole the entirety of my heart and I'm bAFFLED.

HONESTLY YOUR GAME SO FAR IS AMAZING! IM IN LOVE, THIS GAME IS NOW STUCK ON MY MIND AND MADE IT TO THE TOP OF MY FAVOURITE GAMES LIST!!! It really helped get me out of that slump I was in and get to work!! I absloutely adored the characters and their psyche. The way you have written Nalis's manipulative behaviour is absolutely fantastic and I'm blown away by how well his gaslighting is in his ending route, I sincerely was questioning if it was him or not until it was confirmed. Not to mention your character designs for them is really eyecatching! I love their animal traits! Speaking of that,,, YOUR WORLD BUILDING FOR THE SPECIES, DISEASE, AND SOCIETY HAS ME HOOKED! What an extraordinary concept you've created, it's so imaginative and fuels my brain with excitement and I can't wait see the next update for the game! Another thing which I feel like may be small, but it goes a long way is letting the player choose a colour they like and applying it to the UI, as well as choosing the backstory, it adds more personalization to the whole game and allows one to get more immersed into the story! You have done a wonderful job and made something so creative and unique in my eyes 💕💕💕
