Why are you interested in joining the roleplay? why have you u done this frankie? i haven’t had much luck in joining mystery rps so i decided WHY NOT MAKE ONE OF YOUR OWN. also i’ve been playing a lot of rdr2 over the quarantine and the stranger missions got me Thinkin Thots. i loved how immersive that world was and how it let you discover tidbits of the past when you accidentally stumble into easter eggs here and there and then not only try to kind of put a history together from that but also to figure out what that history says about us, as people. how that hasn’t really changed much over the centuries. so i rly wanted to explore that here. also i’m just a big fan of anything lynchian in general and i’ve always wanted to try my hand at translating that feeling into rp. 

Tell us a little about the character you’re thinking of applying for:

uhhhhs tws for light mentions of death and mental illness and pregnancy somewhere below but !! the first character i’m bringing in is this joel kinnaman fc i’m reworking from another rp. his name is dagny larsson and he’s a detective at the sheriff’s station. his parents were swedish immigrants but they separated when he and his twin sister were three years old. from las vegas, they lived from motel room to motel room until they ended up in pleasance. he got his best friend pregnant fairly young, signed up for the marines, then got married to his best friend, left service for Mental Health Reasons many many years later, and got a divorce that same year when he admitted to having had a relationship with someone in his company (who, unfortunately, got killed in action). he and his now ex-wife remain close friends and coparent their daughter, elise.

he’s v nurturing (a papa bear to everyone he cares about) but he’s also got a bit of a temper and tends to just shut off when he gets Depressy. he is, however, learning to deal with that with some cognitive therapy, some hobbies (he is an old man at heart so catch him crocheting or scrapbooking or some shit), and the support of his family and friends. plus, the new job is a good distraction. nothing’s happened anyway.......yet...........👀

fun fact: ‘dagny’ is typically a girl’s name but that’s bc his mother thought that the twins she was having were both girls but then he popped right out and she got too attached to the name and it’s not like ppl will rly know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
