Nothing is better than waking up to kisses on your cheeks and neck. You have a slight smile at the sensation as you opened your eyes to see a mop of black hair. It was perfect, maybe too perfect. The perfect amount of sunlight to where you don’t want to open your eyes and the perfect temperature. “Good morning..” you mumbled making him look up at you.

“Good morning..” he said before kissing you. You sighed into the kiss wrapping your arms around his neck pulling him closer. He pulled back cupping your cheek, “you slept good.. no grouchy morning.” He said making you chuckle, “no grouchy morning.. last night was too good to be grouchy.” You said biting your lip making him smirk.

Last night was perfect, watching Friday the thirteenth in theaters to throw popcorn at high schoolers. Then going to dinner.. which ended up being in a to go box because you two couldn’t wait to go home; hell, you couldn’t even wait to get in the apartment.

You pulled away from the kiss before it led to anything. “I know.. i want to too, but it’s a big day today.” You said making him groan shoving his face in your chest. “Can’t we just stay in bed all day.” He muffled out making you giggle at the vibrations of his voice.

“I wish.. but you have to be at the recording studio by two, and i have too set up for the party” making him groan. today is October third, Tommy’s birthday, the day we’ve been dreading. Tomorrow is our seven month anniversary. And we made a deal that if Tommy didn’t know yet we would tell him in seven months.. we didn’t realize that our anniversary was the day after his birthday.

You honestly want Tommy to know, you love Nikki more than anything. You really don’t know why you’ve kept it a secret so long.. but it’s time. You looked at Nikki who was still in your chest. “Nikki..” you sang as he groaned. You sighed sitting up which made him sit up looking at you.

You cupped his cheeks and gave a small smile. His eyes were closed in annoyance as you kissed all over his face making him laugh. You stopped attacking him and you looked at him with a smile plastered on his face making you giggle as he pulled you into another kiss.

You looked at the clock seeing it’s seven fourty-five. “Alright he should be here in about five minutes..” you told Nikki. Vince and Mick were in charge of stalling Tommy after the recording session, while you and Nikki were in charge of the actual party. The party was a hit, you rented a sick beach house with a pool and a huge living room and invited a shit ton of people.

You stopped the music and turned off all the lights, Thankfully you don’t have to scream at them to know it’s a surprise party. Everyone started laughing hiding in different places. You hid behind a lounge chair next to Nikki.

“Dude what are we even doing here.” You heard Tommy you held back a laugh. “Dude just shut up and hurry up.” Vince yelled back at him opening the door. “Why the hell is it so dark in here-“ he said before he found the light switch next to the door. “SURPRISE!”

Tommy had his mouth wide open. “Happy birthday!” You yelled walking over to him with Athena following you. “Did you do this?” He asked with the dorkiest smile on his face. “With the help of them.” You said throwing your hands up towards Nikki who was next to you, Vince and Mick who were next to Tommy. “Aw sweet dude! But hey be careful I thought Mick was gonna have a heart attack.” Making Vince and Tommy laugh while Mick groaned “I wish..”

The party was successful, as long as Tommy was happy was all that mattered. “You did good.” You heard Nikki as he sat next to you on the couch. “We, did good.” You told him smiling as he nodded. As he looked over at Tommy who was chugging a bottle of Jack. “Yep.. he’s having a blast.” You said smiling.

Nikki got up pulling you with him. “Come on, your job is done now you can par-ty!” He said pulling you to the bar making you giggle walking with him holding hands.

You groaned waking up to a bright light. You can’t get up.. something on top of you, and it’s fucking heavy. You opened your eyes too see Nikki head on your chest passed out with a bottle of Jack in his hand. Fuck your back, you looked around too see Tommy passed out on the floor too thank god he was in his stomach, you can see he was naked only wear white socks.

You nudged Nikki to wake up, “Nikki.. I need to get up my back hurts..” you mumbled shaking him now. Making him groan pulling his head up too look at you. “Get up, my back hurts!” You said pushing him off next too you as he groaned holding his head. You sat up and noticed all the mess.

“Damn.. I haven’t partied like that since Vince’s birthday..” you said stretching. You got up almost falling in the process. You wobbled to Tommy you nudged him on his shoulder with your foot. Making him wake up in shock pulling his head up.

“Birthday boy, your naked.” You told him as looked around. “What happened..” he said groaning as he threw his head back on the floor. “You had an epic party that’s what happened.” You told him grabbing a napkin and put it on his butt.

“Shit, that was an epic party tho.” He said chuckling deeply. You looked at the pool to notice someone floating. “Shit.. I hope their not dead..”

“Dude,” Vince grabbed your arm and pulled you into a guest room. “What?” You asked as he closed the door “dude last night you and Nikki were full on making out last night.” Oh shit, “if me and Mick didn’t pull you off you two would’ve done it in front of everyone.” “Shit.. do you think Tommy will remember?” He scoffed “hell no, I will be amazed if he remembers.”

You nodded, “yeah your right..” you heard a knock on the door and Vince turned to see Tommy peaking his head in. He gave a smile but it wasn’t his goofy smile it was a smile a mom would give “can you come over here please.” He said softly smiling again which made you tense “of course.. brother.” You said walking out the door and him following behind.

You sat down next to Nikki who was on the couch. “Good to see that you’re up.” You told him smiling, as he gave an awkward smile back. He had sunglasses on and was sucked into the couch, you can tell he was hurting from the night before.

Tommy grabbed a chair, you’re guessing it’s from the dining room and pulled it up in front of you two. “So.. I wanted to say thank you for the party, I really did have fun.” You gave a slight smile “I’m glad..” you said as he cleared his throat. “Even though..” oh shit, “I don’t remember anything last night.” You sighed in relief “but I did wake up to a reminder on my hand.” He showed sloppy handwriting on his left hand “I don’t know if I wrote this but it says, ‘don’t forget to kill Nikki for making out with sist’” he read out loud “and I don’t think you would make out with Athena.”

You looked at Nikki not really knowing what to say. “Um-“ “well—“ you looked at Nikki who looked back at you. He motioned for you to talk first, “well.. we actually have something to talk to you about..” Tommy face fell “oh god, don’t tell me you did it with him last night. No Nikki not my sister…” He threw his face in his hands. “No- no, we didn’t do it last night.” He picked his head back up and sighed “thank god..”

“But.. we do have something very important to tell you.” He sighed “ok go tell me I won’t get mad.” You stared at him, “well..” you moved closer to Nikki “we’re.. dating.” You told him grabbing Nikki’s hand. “YOU ASKED HER ON MY BIRTHDAY?!” You shook your head “No Tommy—“ “We’ve been dating for seven months.” Nikki said somewhat bluntly. Tommy’s face went blank making you tense.

“Tommy..” he started laughing like a psychopath “seven months.. whew that’s funny.” He smiled again looking at Nikki who looked at you “see I told you he would handle it ok—“ Tommy threw himself on Nikki and started choking him. “TOMMY!” you got up and tried to get him off “SEVEN MONTHS AND YOUR TELLING ME NOW!” Vince ran out of the room from the yelling.

“Well he found out..” Mick told Vince making Tommy turn around letting go of Nikki as you ran to him asking if he was ok. “YOU KNEW AND YOU DIDN’T TELL ME?!” He yelled at Vince making him run his temples “it’s not my relationship, and I only found out a while ago..” Vince mumbled. “And you Mick!”

“I’m not an idiot I knew even before they made it official..” Tommy turned around facing you two. “Seven months.. and you didn’t tell me?” Tommy said sadly making you get up “I’m so sorry.. I got scared, this is an amazing band! And I was scared that you’ll find out and never want to see Nikki again.. we made a promise that if we didn’t tell you we would tell you in our seven month anniversary.”

Tommy sighed, “I think I’m more upset that you told me now and not in March..” you sighed giving him a hug “I’m so sorry Tommy..” he sighed wrapping him arm around you “it’s ok.. as long as you don’t keep a secret like this for so long again.” You laughed “I promise.” You told him pulling away from the hug feeling a arm around your waist.

“And as for you.” Tommy said turning to Nikki making him roll his eyes. “I’m pissed that you didn’t ask me to date her.” Nikki threw his hands up in defense “if I had asked your would’ve said no!” “Of course I would have said no that’s my sister! But you still should’ve asked!” Nikki sighed nodding “alright.. can I date your sister?” “No.”

“Tommy!” “See!” Tommy sighed “obviously I’m gonna say no, but you’re still going to date her no matter what I say!” Making Nikki nod “yeah you’re right..” Tommy thought for a second then his face changed to disgust “wait.. so your telling me.. you had me drum songs about you wanting to do my sister? I’m gonna puke..”

“Stop moving!” You said giggling as Nikki laughed, “I’m sorry! I’m not used to someone else doing my eyeliner!” Currently it was just you and Nikki in his dressing room, him sitting up in the black leather couch with you in his lap. “I’m gonna poke your eye if you don’t stop moving.. I’m almost done..” you said as Nikki hand rested a on your lower hip.

You bit your lip concentrating on his water line. You finished it moving your head back to make sure it looked good afar. You poofed up pieces of his hair with your hand. “You look good!” You said kissing his lips and holding his cheeks.

“I do have a pretty good makeup artist.” You rolled your eyes, “I do your eyeliner one time and I’m a makeup artist.” He nodded with a little smile “trees you’re my little makeup artist.” He said making you laugh, “whatever you say rockstar.” You put the eyeliner on the coffee table but before you could set it down he grabbed it from your hand.

You looked at him confused, “my turn now..” he said pulling the cap off. “You wanna put it on me?” “No I want you to draw a dick on my forehead, lemme do yours now, please..” Nikki begged pouting with puppy dog eyes making you groan.

“I guess it wouldn’t hurt.. unless you poke my eye out.. please don’t poke my out.” Nikki chuckled “I’m not gonna poke your eye out.. as long as you don’t move that much.” You have out a whine in response. Nikki moved his face closer to you focusing on your right eye first.

“You know.. for this being my..” he paused trying to concentrate while talking. “Im not doing too bad.” He said “oh shit—“ he mumbled before you felt his finger smudge the bottom of your eyelid. He pulled his head backwards and went to your left eye.

“Wow you already finished one eye?” He nodded, “what can I tell you, I’m fast.” He said in a seductive tone making you laugh. “Stop moving!” “Stop making me laugh!” “Imma poke your eye out seriously stop moving!” “Ok, ok.” You said calming down so he can finish.

He pulled back to look at you before smiling. He cupped your cheeks and pulled you into a kiss, you laughed breaking the kiss getting up to look in the mirror. He honestly.. didn’t do bad. He gets an A for effort. “It looks good!” You said before getting back in his lap and kissing him. He kissed you harder pushing you onto the couch with him on top of you.

“We have about.. ten more minutes till they drag me out.. that’s enough time.” Nikki said diving into your neck, “what can I say.. your fast.”

Summary -> 1975, you never expected to see an old classmate at a party especially be locked in a room with him for seven minutes.

Your intention was not to kiss him, but fate was chosen for you. You only live once especially just being seventeen, high school is either one of the shitiest, or the best years of your life. Your peak. No matter how bad it is, you’ll always remember those high school party.

Underage drinking, skinny dipping in the pool, people hooking up left and right, and stupid party games. You laid on your bed reading with the bright light from your new candle you had gotten earlier. You looked up to the sound of knocking, “go to sleep soon ok?” you nodded as she closed the door. No way, Linda said their was a party downtown.

You blew out your candle and climbed out your window. You would take your car, but you decided to ride your bike; just so your parents wouldn’t hear the car. You chuckled remembering the story your mom said how she got sneaking out with your grandmas car when she was in high school. Yeah, you’re not making the same mistake.

You finally pulled up to the house, wasn’t too long of a ride. But they lived on a hill, you put your bike near a bush hiding it and walking to the porch. It was a really nice house.. it was one of those houses that had big glass windows, maybe four bathrooms and a nice pool. Kids were coming in and out of the house you can tell it’s gonna be a god party by seeing red plastic cups.

You walked inside it was crowded with people you even saw two people making out on the stairs while two people were trying to get by. You walked down the hall to the kitchen and noticed Linda standing near the counter talking to someone, she may look like the sweet girl who makes cookies for a nursing home, but man she can party. “Linda!” I yelled out walking to her, she turned and started waving at you and gave a signal to go over.

You walked over too see that she was talking to some guy with a stubble who stood next to another guy with long brown hair. “Hey!” She yelled over the loud music before squeezing you into a hug. “This is Jasper, the guy I told you about! And this is his friend Nikki!” ‘Jasper’ hands were crossed as he gave a awkward wave. You looked at Nikki and pointed to him, “oh yeah I remember, we had a class together last year.. Frank!” He gave a shy smile, nodding his head looking down an the floor.

“Yeah.. I go by Nikki now.” He said looking back at you and you nodded “cool.” He nodded back as some girl grabbed Linda shoulders from behind. “Come on we’re playing spin the bottle!” You looked at Linda as she nodded grabbing your hand. You looked at Nikki, he looked back confused you shrugged following her.

You followed Linda into the living room, three guys were moving the small glass table while two girls started sitting on the floor. Linda sat down and you sat next to her. Next thing you knew their were a bunch of people that made a circle. You didn’t know the guy that sat next to you, you saw he had a letterman jacket and you could smell the alcohol on him.

You looked forward and saw Nikki in front of you as you smiled at him. “Whoever spins the bottle and whoever it’s pointed at has to go upstairs in the master bedroom for seven minutes.” People started whispering to each other until one guy got up and spun the bottle. The only bad part about this game is having too fully wait those seven minutes.

It’s already about forty minutes into the game, and the only interesting thing that’s happened is two guys getting each other. “Who’s next?” A blonde girl asked, your guessing that it’s the host. You looked forward hearing the sound of laughter, you saw Jasper laughing throwing Nikki’s hand up. He quickly shoved his hand down, “no give it a shot.” The blonde girl said getting up and passing him the bottle.

You couldn’t see his expression from the girl blocking your view, but his expression said it all s as she walked away. He crawled to the center and spun the bottle. The bottle spun slowly in suspense as it started to slowly stop.. to you. You looked up at him in shock, same as him. “Go on love birds!” The blonde girl said as Linda gave you a slight shove to go.

You two walked upstairs with the blonde girl leading the way. She pulled out a key and opened the door, when she opened the door you saw two girls making out. Making the blonde girl laugh loudly as the two ran out. She held out her hand as a motion for us to get in. The bed was huge taking up most of the room. You noticed the decorations wooden bed, a wooden desk and you even saw a deer head in the corner of the room. It would’ve creeped you out but it made you chuckle because someone threw a bra on it. You got in sitting the the corner of the bed and he sat next to you. The girl chuckled “have fun..” she said smirking closing the door and locking it.

“Seven minutes!” She yelled outside the door walking away. You sighed at the awkward tension in the room, you looked at him. “I’m sorry.. I know you didn’t want to do this…” you said maybe to relieve the tension. He shook his head “no it’s ok.. I’m happy it’s you rather than anyone else.” Your eyebrows furrowed is confusion, “why?” You said looking at him.

“Well.. you’re nice, I would’ve hated if I got someone like Michael..” he said shyly. He’s not wrong tho, Mike was a real asshole. “Well.. I’m happy I’m with you too.” You said smiling at him moving closer to where your knees were touching. “So.. why are you here?” You asked him as he took a sip out of his red cup, you didn’t even realize he brought it. “Free jack.” He said bluntly putting it on the wooden nightstand.

“Wait are you drinking straight up Jack?” He nodded as if it’s nothing making you chuckle. “That’s badass.” You said without even thinking, he shook his head “you’re pretty badass yourself.” You rolled your eyes. “Not even..” you said chuckling and he nodded “you are, like at the diner how you make those badass doodles.”

You looked at him in confusion, “how did you know that? I would’ve remembered you, I would’ve said hi!” He nodded, “I’ve only been there a couple times.. but you’ve never served me before.” You gave him a look, “that’s crazy.. I have to give you my number so I can tell you when my next shift is.” He gulped nodding, “I’ll.. I’ll definitely go then.” He said smiling.

You nodded smiling, “well, I’ll be waiting then..” you just realized how close you are too him, you can smell the booze on his lips. You bit your lip, you want to kiss him but at the same time you don’t know if he dose. He closed the gap kissing you slowly, almost like if was hesitant. You leaned more into the kiss you wrapped one of your arms around his neck and cupped his cheek.

You leaning in the kiss making him assertive, he put his hands on your hip and you slowly put your back on bed. You put your arm that was on his neck and wrapped your hand in his brown hair. He got a boost of confidence and started kissing you harder. You moaned in the kiss brushing through his soft hair, you opened your eyes and saw he was staring at you.

You freaked out and pulled away fast, making him think he messed up. “What— what’s wrong?” He asked slightly scared. As you started giggling, “nothing wrong, I wasn’t expecting you too have your eyes open..” you said still giggling. “I’m sorry..” you shook your head, “I know you have definitely kissed someone before.. just relax.” You said before kissing him again making sure his eyes closed.

Your have still tangled in his hair cupping his cheek. He moved his hands down to your ass fondling with them as you gave out a shocked moan. For him being so nervous earlier he sure is getting more confident. He pushed his tongue inside your mouth making you moan again.

He pulled away from you making you open your eyes gasping until he started kissing down your face. You picked up your head as he started sucking on your neck making you moan softly. “Nikki..” you moaned out. You can feel him marking up your neck. He moved his face and you saw his flushed face heavily breathing making you smile.

He smiled in confusion “what?” You shook your head. “I don’t know why I didn’t realize how pretty you are..” he rolled his eyes. “I should be telling you that.” He said before kissing you again. But this time it was slow and sweet. He pulled away again, “you want to know a secret?” He asked still out of breath.

“What?” You asked smirking amused. He bit his lip smiling. “I remember..” he stopped to chuckle making you scoff and gently nudged his shoulder, “what? What do you remember?” Your asked bending your elbow so you can stare at him. He sighed before staring back at you, “remember how you said that last year we had the class together?”

You nodded, you drank but you didn’t drink that much to not remember that conversation forty minutes ago. “I remember.. how much of a crush I had on you in that class.” You looked at him in shock and confusion, “really?” You asked softly making him nod. “I remember I saw you reading.. and seeing you in a ‘Black Sabbath’ shirt, and I thought you were the prettiest and sickest girl I’ve ever seen..” you two chuckled. “And then I found out you had worked at the dinner.. I only went two times, and one of them you weren’t even working.” He bit his lip debating on if he should keep going but he saw how happy you had gotten.

“And when I was there when you were working you were on break.. and I sat in the booth near the door, and I saw you sitting on the table close to the employee door. I was gonna walk up too you but, you looked so peaceful, just drawing your heart away. I felt like a creep for staring so I just left.”

You shook your head “you should’ve said hi, I would’ve been so happy.. and I don’t think you’re a creep.. the opposite even.” You said smiling at him cupping his cheek as he smiled back. You pulled him in again kissing him passionately. You giggled in the kiss going back to laying on your back.

Then the door slammed open as you gasped getting up. You saw the blonde girl again with Jasper and Linda. “It looked liked you two had fun.” Linda said it in a teasing way. Making you roll your eyes standing up, same with Nikki. “Are you two going next?” You asked to Linda and Jasper as she nodded.

You nodded too grabbing Nikki’s hand to walk out the door. “Oh wait,” Nikki said making you stop before your fully out the door. “Is it ok if I leave already?” Nikki asked Jasper as he nodded. “Have fun!” Linda said to you as Nikki grabbed your hand again. “You too!” You said before blondie closed the door.

“Where do you want to go?” Nikki asked making you think, “I could go for some pancakes at the diner.” Making Nikki chuckle kissing you. “You read my mind.”

There’s that son of a bitch, you’d knew he’d be here. You just didn’t realize he got such a good view of you. You made eye contact with him, it didn’t last very long with the pink light hitting your eyes. He was up on the balcony of the auditorium, him and the rest of the band. The rest of the guys had girls on them but Nikki had his eye on you with a sly smirk on his face. You tired to make it seem like the contact didn’t effect you and kept dancing and singing.

You were thankful that you didn’t look up the rest of the night, keeping your focus on the crowd of people cheering you on and singing along. They made time move faster and make you enjoy what you do. You walked off stage saying your goodbyes to the crowd and city before walking to your dressing room. You opened the door seeing Nikki on the dressing room couch a drink in his hand and sunglasses on. I don’t know what a bigger red flag is than someone wearing sunglasses indoors.

You groaned “what do you want Nikki..” you asked taking off all the accessories you had on. “I wanted to see my favorite girl that’s all..” Nikki said coming up behind you and started kissing your shoulder. You turned around to face him, “Sixx you had your chance and you blew it!” You told him walking to the other side of the room pulling out your clean clothes to change in.

“Look I know I’m sorry, but I couldn’t I have a girlfriend on a tour that’s just.. a bomb waiting to go off. You stared at Heather and Tommy who were at the end of the isle. Heather dressed in a big white dress, and Tommy in front of her in a tux. “I now pronounce you.. husband and—” before he even finished Tommy kissed Heather making everyone laugh. You turned to Nikki who was slumped down right next to you asleep. What a great best man.. you thought hitting his chest to wake up.

He jumped up and started looking at his surroundings realizing where he was. As he started clapping before Tommy and Heather left Tommy wanted a picture of all the guys together. You stood next to the photographer as Tommy motioned for Nikki to come closer.

Then it all hit you.. everyone’s somewhat has their life together. Micks always been great, as well as Vince even though Sharise left him he still had a beautiful daughter. But Nikki, was on another planet. He was gone out of his mind barely able to keep his eyes open and stay standing.

You love Nikki you really do, but do you want to throw your life away because of him? Throw away your future? Your dream of having a fairytale wedding and life, but you can’t do that with Nikki. If Nikki doesn’t straighten this up he’s gonna pass out before you even get to the weeding cake.

“What’s wrong with you?” Nikki slurred out from the passenger side. You kept your eyes on the road “what do you think?” Nikki sighed “I don’t know.. you’ve been bitchy-er recently..” you scoffed “I’m sorry, I’m just pissed that I couldn’t stay at my best friends weeding because I have to take my wasted boyfriend home.”

Nikki sighed looking out the window, “we could’ve stayed if you really wanted..” Nikki slurred out as you started pulling up to Nikki’s driveway. “Yeah so you could ruin their wedding.” Nikki picked his head up. “They wouldn’t have even met if it wasn’t for me.” You rolled your eyes, “what ever you say Nikki..”

Nikki opened the car door but before he even got out he fell. You groaned walking to help him up. You got him up and he soon almost fell again. You put his arm on your shoulder to hold onto you. You opened his door and threw him on the couch.

You looked at Nikki who was trying to grab an old beer bottle from his coffee table only to find out it’s empty making him groan. You noticed all the needles and beer bottles their were. “Nikki I can’t do this.” He looked back at you “I’m not telling you to drink.”

You rolled your eyes “No shit, I’m saying I can’t be with you.” Nikki rolled his eyes “come on you love me..” he slurred out laying down. “I do love you very much. But I can’t do this.. why wont even talk about marriage. We’ve been together for four years..” You got on the floor to make eye contact with him.

You got up “just because your a rockstar doesn’t mean you’re invincible.” You started walking to the edge of the couch “I’m not seeing you until you get help.. and please don’t do anything stupid.. I don’t want to see your name on tv for a bad reason..” you walked to the door. Seeing him now sat up, “I love you.” You said before closing the door. You turned to stare at the door.

Are you really leaving him? But you love Nikki, you put your hands on the door knob but flinched after hearing a bang from the inside. No you have to go, you walked to your car hearing all types of loud bangs and curses. You have to leave because you love him.. or at least you told yourself that…

Summary - Nikki asks you to a lovely Valentine’s Day Carnival, what can go wrong?

A/n - Valentines day soon so I apologize for this angst in advance :’)

You stared at the poster in front of you, ‘Valentines Day Carnival, ten dollars a ticket!’ Covered in red and pink hearts. “Are you going with Nikki?” Linda had asked you as you two started walking to your lockers. “I don’t know.. it depends if he asks..” you said opening your locker and grabbed your bag. “Of come on, take some charge and ask him!” She had said making you scoff.

“I should.. but it would be.. more romantic if he asks me.” You told her as she rolled your eyes. “Well if he doesn’t ask you should ask him, I’m gonna ask Jasper today!” She said excitedly making you smile as you two started walking to the front door. “Good luck, even though I know he’s gonna say yes.” She shrugged “you’d never know..” she pushed open the door. “But I hope so!”

“Hey,” you heard a voice next to you and saw Nikki, “hi!” You said throwing your hands around his neck and giving him a hug. “I’ll see you two love birds tomorrow.” Linda said waving a goodbye.

“What we’re you two talking about?” He asked out of curiosity as you two started walking to his car. “Oh nothing, she’s gonna ask Jasper out to the carnival.” You told him maybe to spark an idea. “We’ll see who asks who first, he was telling me he was going to too.” He opened the car door for you to get in. You said a small thank you as he walked to the divers side “How do you feel about it?”

“About what?” He asked confused closing the car door “about the carnival?” “Oh,” he shrugged “I don’t know.. I thinks I’m pretty corny all the couples and shit.” “Oh.. Yeah you’re right.”

“We should go out.. You know, for Valentine’s Day.” Nikki said with his elbow up holding his head to stare at you. “Really? And do what?” You said staring at him intensely, he sighed “we could.. go to the carnival.” You gave him a confused look “I thought you said it was too corny for you?” You said in a teasing way.

“Yeah.. but I keep thinking about it, and I wanna go..” he paused for a second to give out a nervous chuckle, “with you.” He said softly making your heart ache “really?” You said smiling making him groan “don’t make it a big deal or whatever.” He said throwing a pillow at you making you laugh

“Yeah, that seems like a lot of fun!” You said smiling at him holding the pillow he threw at you. “Great it’s a date.” You nodded “it’s a date.” You said biting your lips trying to hide your smile as he kissed you.

The watch on your wrist ticked, and ticked and ticked. ‘Where is he.’ You thought waiting on a bench seeing all the couples laughing going in and out of the carnival. You sighed as your leg started shaking your leg out of nervousness. ‘Where the hell is he.’ You turned around too see the Farris Wheel spinning and the guy who was selling the carnival tickets staring at you in pity.

You turned back around to see a couple making out in front of you in their car. You gulped looking down at your watch ‘8:07’ the plan was for you two to meet at the carnival at seven thirty, now you wished to pick him up. God this is so embarrassing, waiting here in front of a love carnival by yourself.

“Hey! What are you doing by yourself?” You turned to see Linda and Jasper holding hands. ‘Great..’ “um um waiting for Nikki I don’t know where he is..” “Um..” Jasper looked like he had seen a ghost. “What?” You stood up, “did something happen to him!” He shook his head, “well no.. when was the last time you talk to him?” “Um..” when was the last time you talked to him? “When he asked me to come here two days ago..”

Jasper gulped, “Nikki.. isn’t in Seattle anymore..” you looked at him confused. “If he’s not here where the hell is he?” He looked at Linda then you. “He moved to Los Angeles..” you looked at him in shock. “What?” He nodded giving a sad look to you. “Originally he was gonna move in December when he turned seventeen.. but then he met you. So he stayed, but last night he called me panicked because he thought he was gonna stay in Seattle forever.. because.. he met you..”

You knew he wanted to move to L.A. and live his rockstar life, but you didn’t know he wanted to move as soon as he turned seventeen. “So he just.. left.” You sat back down with a blank expression, you were pulling him back from his dream. “I’m gonna go home..” you said getting up “no.. why don’t you join us.” You shook your head, “the last thing I wanna be is a third wheel, but thanks.” You said giving a sad smile and walking to your car.

You got in and started your car, ‘Heaven and hell by Black Sabbath.’ Started playing making you tear up, it was yours and Nikki’s song. You remember how it became your song too.

“One of my favorite Sabbath song, hands down.” Nikki said making you laugh, the two of you just hanging out in your car listening to your Sabbath cassette. “I agree with you, even though I don’t really understand the story behind the lyrics.” He shrugged “honestly, who gives a shit still a good song.” He said taking a sip of his Jack bottle.

You nodded, “now every time I hear this song I’ll think of you.” You told him as he stared at you moving closer to you. “I’d love to remember something we did to this song.” You laughed kissing him, which lead to you going to the back seats.

Here you are now sobbing in your car listening to the same song. Why would he do this you too you..

At that moment everything felt empty, but what people do say is true. That time heals, I didn’t believe it when people told me but it does. Now high school is over and I rarely thought about Nikki but that doesn’t mean I wonder what could’ve happened if he was still around. And now all I hear about is this Motley Crue band and when Linda go tickets for a show I knew I had to go. We got there pretty early so we we’re able toto stand in the front.

But when I went to go I didn’t expect to see Nikki there not even as a guest but seeing him play as bass was even more shocking. “Did you know?” I pulled Linda arm and screamed in her ear “What!” She exclaimed back “did you know!” “I can’t hear you!” Oh she definitely knew.

I knew about Nikki wanted to be a huge rockstar, he’s not huge but a rockstar he sure is especially right now. And the music is really good, I’m happy. I’m actually happy the music so good that I started dancing and made me feel like I was in high school again. But as all good things come to an end so did the concert.

We walked to the door talking about how amazing it was and how we have to go to the next one. We were about to walk out until a security guard stopped me, “uh is something wrong?” He was big buff guy making me nervous “Nikki wants you in the back.”

My heart dropped “he wants me?” He nodded “follow me.” I turned to Linda “I’ll be in the car.” I nodded and followed him leading behind the stage and met a door. He opened it with a key meeting with three different doors “he’s in the last one.”

“Thank you.” I walked to the door as he walked off I passed the first one hearing a bunch of screaming and ruckus. Do I knock? I decided knocking three times. I heard some movement and the door opened then I saw him, I haven’t seen him in years. He looks so different now with black spiky hair and dark makeup on his eyes, yet he still has the same vibe. “Hi.” I whispered out. He moved aside not saying anything for me to go in, I walked in and saw cigarette butts and beers everywhere. Same old Nikki.

“I knew it was you, you still have the same eyes.” I turned and faced him laughing “yes I still have the same eyes.” His head tilted as he checked me out “you look so different, yet the same.” I laughed “I can say the same about you.”

He gave a smirk “I never thought I’d see you again.” I squinted at him “you? You’re the one that left me.” He sighed “I know I’m sorry, that day I left town I was scared. I was so in love with you that I thought you would hold me back.”

I guess he’s right but still it hurt. “Seeing you tonight brought back all those feelings.” He scoffed and looked down “you want to know something funny.” I tilted my head “what?” He looked back up and took a step closer to me. “I actually wrote starry eyes about you.. and seeing your eyes again made me realize something.” I’m gonna kiss him so hard right now.

“What?��

“I never stopped loving you.”
