Yuri Ideas

1. Ludger, the Next Target for Yuri the Vigilante  Yuri catches wind of the killer who’d taken out important figures meant to help their world (I.E. Jude, Gaius, and Rowen), but nobody really has a clue whose responsible. So Yuri, like he tends to do, decides to take the law into his hands and deal with the killer. Naturally this leads him to Ludger, as he seems to be the only survivor of their huge friend group. Ludger doesn’t set off any early alarm bells; he’s a calm, honest VP working to see Spyrites continue with Balan in charge. He’s also a bit of a walking soup kitchen since he likes to give out meals to people who come to his door.

But once Ludger begins to trust Yuri, he confesses that at times he suffers from impostor syndrome because he’s got skeletons in the closet. Yuri asks about those skeletons, and Ludger admits it was his old group of friends after they’d planned to have his brother commit suicide behind his back. And thus Ludger proves all along, he was indeed the kill Yuri was looking for. What Yuri does with that, intrigue ensues.

2. Two Chefs, One Late Night Kitchen. To tone down the angst juust a bit, this one’s simpler: Mute Pre-Game!Ludger (an old AU of mine) works at the seahaven as the head chef. Around the time Ludger is closing up the kitchen, Yuri strolls in and asks for “something warm”; Ludger’s going to make him his signature pasta margherita, but leftover oil from his last ditch causes the stove to catch on fire, and he’s having trouble putting it out. He can’t call for help either since he can’t actually say anything.

Yuri sees Ludger in distress and helps him douse the flames; luckily his pasta margherita didn’t get burned, so Yuri gets a good meal from helping this guy not die. Figuring he’ll be in town, he offers to come around every night so he’s got company before closing shop and maybe give Ludger a couple cooking secrets too. Ludger’s a bit excited since he’s not used to having friends outside Nova since the whole mute thing. Fluff ensues.

3. Yuri the Serial Murderer’s Reluctant Babysitter A lot of Spirius Agents and knights alike are mysteriously ending up as dead bodies at Lake Epsilla. Yuri’s curious to see who exactly is making examples out of everyone, and he finds Victor’s villa (which is suspicious since you’d think he’d notice the serial murders right by his house). But as Victor is very good at pretending to be innocent and charming, Yuri doesn’t get much to link Victor and the Epsilla murders besides the convenient location; they’re at an awkward stalemate.

On a night where Yuri’s trying to squeeze info outta Victor, 7 year old Elle gets up and wants a cookie; Victor semi-reluctantly explains the girl is his daughter and he’s been an only father for quite a while now. A split second later, Victor can tell some Spirius Agents have entered his F.D. and tells Yuri to watch Elle while basically teleporting out the door before he can say no. Yuri’s fine with kids, so it goes well enough that Victor asks if he’d be willing to help out again. Yuri kinda agrees (as he’s not gonna get Victor to spill at his going rate), and wups, he’s a babysitter to a killer now lol.

Etude Ideas

1. Etude, the Apprentice Chef With Ludger’s recipe book, Etude attempts to give pretty much every recipe a try to strafe off boredom. It doesn’t take him too long to burn through all the recipes (since Ludger didn’t write every single one he’s ever done) and Etude is left hungry for more. Visiting the apartment has him meeting Ludger, who’s making some pasta margherita for Julius with a slightly modded recipe. When Etude tries a bit, the cooking bug bites and he’s gotta know the magic behind it.

Ludger says he’s not very good at explaining and is more of a show-er than an instructor. Etude’s cool with that and thinks to make Ludger his cooking sensei. Ludger goes along with it since he’s happy to have anybody to talk cooking with (that isn’t trash like his brother).

2. The Stain on Julius’ Arm  After Julius goofs the encounter on the Striborg (cause Bisley had an ultimate keikaku ready), he’s forced to go into hiding in several different towns to avoid Spirius or the military police. While he’s on the run, Etude manages to find Julius while he hides out at his grandfather’s place; since there he takes his glove off, Etude sees the catalyst crawling up his arm. Julius tries to explain it away as a benign skin condition, but a bout of pain has him doubling over. This leads to an actual talk of why Julius always says it’s too late for him: his catalyst will force him to either kill himself or send him to an F.D. where he’ll be killed eventually.

3. Who’s the Favorite?  More of a break from the angst again where after Ludger hears Julius has “adopted” Etude and Sync, Ludger gets a bit territorial because he’s the little brother around here, fellas. When Etude and Ludger cross paths, Ludger attempts to get the one-up on Etude to mark himself as the favorite child; Etude isn’t all that sure what is going on, but figures Ludger must want some type of reaction and humor’s Ludger’s silly trials by fire for being Julius’ favorite.
