After a long shift at Bark and Beyond, Hiro wanted nothing more than to go home and crash on his bed. Passing by the garage, he as usual didn't pay much attention to it. He thought it would be the same as any other day and yet, the sounds of jeering laughter were heard echoing around the corner. He would have ignored it if it wasn't for the familiar high-pitched yowl that was mixed within. Stopping in place, he backtracked, turning his head to look down the open alley, and what he saw made his shoulders tense as rage radiated off of him.

Slamming his hand against the gated wall, he let out a sharp 'hey', sending the kids running off in a hurry. He didn't waste any time stepping forward, stopping to bend down to the ground to look at the small trembling creature. The cat was covered in a dark substance, car grease no doubt, and it was taking everything in him to not drag the kids back to have them be properly punished by law. But he made no move, staying on the ground to tend to the small creature instead.
