2. I’m not coming out. I found it. Come pay me again.
3. Group party. You already loved me. It’s her turn.
4. I’m so proud.
5. I’m so exhausted I’ll snuggle with mommy even if her hair is wet bc she’s my person.
6. Sigh. I’m so ready. Can they hurry up. I’ll lay here and whine to let them know how impatient I am to go search my area.
7. Mommy and I both wanna figure out how to smuggle Hurcules in the Jeep. He matches. And he’s so fun. We love seeing him and his Mommy and Daddy at all the clinics- even his sister Jade is pretty cool.
Everyone asks how to tire your dog out. Here’s a hint. It’s not running. It’s not swimming. It’s not physical activity. You engage their brain. This is the look of a seriously exhausted pup- that had to think ALOT this weekend.
Training in all the culverts and all the mazes. In daylight and darkness. Following flashlights. Stopping halfway- backing out. So much goes into just going through a tunnel in SAR. Something unsafe could be IN the tunnel or at the other end. Sometimes you make the decision- sometimes you have to trust your dog. All the little things all up. Even this “little” thing like a change in type of tunnel (we usually do culverts). Tunnels echo. So everything is important!
She’s so dang cute. She worked hard today and showed her dedication this am. I wish she didn’t have to have a job but I’m so thankful she knows it. This girl shows up and is rock solid every time. My partner ALWAYS has my six.
