It needn’t be said, to explain would just complicate - and it was the nations MOST dangerous secret to date. No one knew besides her and Pewter. At least, that was what she thought.

So that bastard, had managed to catch the Commander off guard with his mutterings. Something she’d heard only one man say before, and he was supposed to be dead. There’s a sick feeling in the pit of her stomache, the warning that perhaps So hadn’t been So for a while. The idea that he yet lived, in the body of another - and that meant one other thing, Date was in danger.

Her careful intricate plot to free him of the life of Falco, of the Yakuza’s hold on him - and the ability to save the woman he loves. “ Saito Sejima,” she spits out like venom, poisoning her veins just with an utter of the name, the other half of the Original Cyclops Killer.

“ To what do I owe the displeasure ?” She can hear the slur in her words, struggling to right themselves as whatever he’s injected her with seems to take hold. Shit. She wasn’t going to make it out of this one, was she ? The maniacal grin twisting So Sejima’s face is all the answer she needs. “ You won’t get away with this,” she murmurs in response. The sickening grin seems to widen at that, and a heart stopping - ‘ I hope not ‘, rings in her ears.

He was planning to get caught.

Saito dives into it, Boss being unable to appropriately respond with her own self defense measures, shit, where was her sleeping gas ? The sensation of fingers digging deep within her eye, pulling the vulnerable organ out - without thought or worry. It’s a weird, gross feeling, the pain subsided by her own hazy mind, riddled with whatever he used to incapacitate her.

She blacks out, after that.

Her memory of what happens is hidden beneath a foggy haze, an out of body experience as her own face grins at her. Her right eye the only thing she can see out of, ah, she’s going to die. Spinning, her head fights to hold itself up, even as the press of the barrel against the side of her head. ( Probably not her head, she’s sure she’s in So’s body now. )

Whatever Saito has planned for Date, he’ll have to handle it himself. She can’t be there for them anymore. An illusion fills her incapacitated mind, “ Takahashi ?” She murmurs in a voice gruffer and lower to her own. It’s not right, it’s surreal.

And then the loud BANG of a gunshot rings against her head.
