Moots, hit the heart thing. You know the drill.

I'm having a time and a half getting through old threads, so while I'm not dropping anything, I am officially putting them on hold until I can get my muse back in order. That said, I'm missing my girl and also all of you beautiful people <3

The nostalgia of finding That PlaylistTM of an old muse from another lifetime ;-; (And subsequently realising...she's better suited for your current fandoms than she ever was for your old one. Tiny, mighty, and ahead of her time <3 )

The basics of her story actually suit XV and XVI really good because they go as such:

She's the third of four children: oldest brother -> older brother -> Hadley -> younger sister

Her family is some kind of royalty-adjacent type. Her mother is usually a courtier or heiress of some kind; her father a trusted soldier, captain, and/or direct military adviser.

She never saw eye-to-eye with her mother, who wanted her to be something she isn't. Instead, her mother dotes on her perfect, girly, charming sister instead. Due to their father's status, her brothers have always been expected to be great without proving themselves. Having also been doted on by their mother, they grew up to be immature and selfish.

Hadley is naturally gifted in strategy and battle. The only sibling who's a worthy successor to her father. She had a really good relationship with him growing up, accounting for the fact that he was barely around due to work. She has no lasting resentment in this respect: if anything, she wants to grow up to be like him.

And she does. A brilliant warrior, intelligent, and a born leader, she's a one-woman army in and of herself. But she's also cold, closed off, insecure and desperate to prove herself all the time. Independant to a fault, seeming unbothered by the opinions of others but secretly craving the dare and acceptance she'd never dare ask for.

She's also deeply loyal to the house she serves, whether it be that of a king, duke, lord, or anything else. Because of her natural talent, lifelong training and unwavering servitude, she rises through the ranks pretty quickly.

You know, I really think Luna thinks about Regis' last words a lot. After Nyx dies, she's the only person on Eos who knows them. And she knows how these things go - the stories will aggrandize him as some heroic monarch who fell bravely in battle. But the man who died that day wasn't just a King. He was a father, a beloved friend, and someone she personally looked up to. He didn't go out in a blaze of glory, he was weakened beyond belief. And his last words weren't some grand speech. He just wanted to know his son and the girl he failed to save would be alright. I wonder if she ever gets the chance to tell someone that.

Owing to the fact there's always been someone there to do it for her, Luna's not that good at cooking. But she wants to be, so someone should teach her specifically by standing behind her and getting up close, putting their arms around her to manually correct her technique while they utter instructions into her ear in an informative and slightly charged cooking lesson, it's the only way she'll ever learn.

*uses uppercase for the word god plus pronouns refering to the gods in all verses where luna is still loyal to them, and lowercase in post-canon/apostate verses; alternates use based on her feelings towards a specific deity and the context, ie "she" when referring to Gentiana, her friend, and "She" when referring to Shiva* Art.

Hello, friends. Some updates:

I have been working through replies. You can't tell, but I have. They're sitting safe in a document until I can make a decent dent in my owing threads, at which point I'll just queue everything.

The multi sideblog where I condensed all my other muses is still a thing. I had an idea for a cool theme at like 12am last night and I stayed up all night to do it, but I think it's a pretty neat take on a multimuse blog. (Hint: hit the little book gif in lieu of a muse list). All the imagery is placeholder and there are still 2 more muses to add so it will still look a little ugly for a while, but them's the brakes.

It's @autumnalink if you're curious. Pls love on my babies I'm having major rp withdrawal.

With the bulk of the holiday season behind us and the new year ahead, I'm looking to make more time for the things I enjoy, ie being on here more.

A concept: during her travels, Luna hears tales about the battles of the great angler Noct Gar. The stories excite her, as do the descriptions of him as a man in all black, mysterious, not talking much. She thinks it's all very exciting and writes to Noctis about it frequently. Several years into their marriage, Noctis offhandedly mentions something that causes Luna to make the connection. She is surprised and flustered to find out they're the same person, all the while he's just like "I thought you knew this whole time???"

Still thinking about a version of events where mounting tensions lead to Luna being sent away to grow up under Maria's watch in Altissia. There she has a flower shop and sometimes sings at Maagho and has a normal and happy life except for the weird dreams.

I had to look up Ravus' official birthday for reasons - which, by the way, it doesn't seem he has one????? - and I'm reminded that his Dossier is listed under Niflheim and not Tenebrae because this man gave up everything, including his very identity, to try and protect his sister, and in the end he couldn't even do that.
