bev  was  born  into  chaos.  a  father  that  didn’t  really  care  about  her  very  much,  and  a  work  -  a  -  holic  mom  who  barely  ever made  time  for  her  daughter.

she  was  raised  by  a  nanny  that  her  father  paid  for.  probably  out  of  guilt  for  not  being  around  more  than  a  few  times  a  year.

she  was  an  adult  by  the  time  she  found  out  she  has  a  big  brother.  she  learned  that  his  name  was  steve,  that  he  lived  in  hawkins,  and  was  told  to  stay  away  from  him  —  robert  basically  forbade  her  from  going  to  indiana.  did  she  listen  ?  fuck  no.  she  was  desperate  to  meet  her  brother,  to  really  know  him.

she  applied  for  the  local  community  college  in  hawkins  —  for  two  reasons  ;  because  community  college  is  all  she  can  afford,  and  because  it  gave  her  an  excuse  to  go  to  indiana  to  find  her  brother.

she’s  been  in  hawkins  for  two  months  and  still  feels  pretty  skittish.  she  hasn’t  told  many  people  her  last  name,  because  she  knows  steve  is  pretty  well  -  known  in  town.  she  calls  herself  beverley  jones,  takes  her  mom’s  last  name  to  hide  the  truth.
