Megumi holds the door open for Yuji as stepping inside, Kuku promptly hopping in and past them as well, claws clattering against the floor as the dog disappears past a corner. A muffled response can be heard from the kitchen and then the words turning into something more childish, pampering the animal. Little after, the metallic clank of bowls falling can be heard.

"Here." He places a pair of dog shaped slippers on the floor before him, kicking away Satoru's shoes to make space, "Hang your jacket here too. I'll show you to the guests room."

Megumi's pencil stops right over the feather of a peacock. Eye twitching slightly, he slowly squints at the page, frown deepening. He knew that tone of voice very well, and Satoru knew he did as well. This was the beginning of a game that had been played before and would be played again many times to come, both refusing to lose.

"No. Nothing." calmly focusing back on the book, he idly continues to color the drawing, as though the question barely deserved his attention, "What's for dinner? Can we get pizza? I kinda feel like mushrooms and cheese."

Thinking thinking thinking. About the fact that at his core Megumi is just a good kid that has suffered way too much. He's not a saint whatsoever, he doesn't care for strangers like he does for his family and friends, but at the end he's always doing his best to help because he's too kind and has a good heart. And yet all of his life is suffering, has been from the moment he was born. He tries and tries but it doesn't matter because it all always ends up the same way with the people he loves being hurt for loving him back. All he ever wanted was to be a normal kid, have friends, fall in love, grow up into an adult his dad can be proud of and help animals and have a family and just be happy. But he can't have any of that no matter how much he tries or how much he's helped, he's cursed to suffer till the day he dies and drag everyone down with him. His sister, his dad, his shikigami. He just keeps losing and losing until there's nothing left. So please do not blame him if he's unable to fight back, because he's got nothing left to do it for.

The frown between dark eyes seem tense, if somewhat apathetic, and quite annoyed. It wasn't as though he couldn't take of himself, but the small kid in him still was always reticent of engaging with strangers. Distrustful.

"It's Gojo." Childish much, he decided to give this Adrian only his last name, an unspoken signal that he wasn't well received, "I don't know you. Are you a curse user?"
