When you’re writing Tamaki, do you hear his sub voice or dub voice? 👀 Both are fantastic but it’s always fun knowing what a mun’s mental voice for their character is! 🩷

outofroses: I agree with you, sweet anon, both are fantastic! I have to say that when I first started writing Tamaki (way back in the day, lol), I predominantly heard his dubbed voice in my head. This is probably because English is my first language, so it is very easy for me to hear the nuances and tonal shifts in his speech. When I write Tamaki having a melt down (when he is at his most dramatic), I can hear it--I know what words he will emphasis vs which words he may minimize; I can hear the hoarseness in his astonishment or disbelief. Likewise, I can hear the charm, that drips like honey from his lips whenever he is complimenting a guest, or when he is elbow deep in his mind theatre.

However, I have been leaning toward his subbed voice more recently these days.

Ironically, I am in the middle of building a canon oc, who will eventually fit into one of Tamaki's verses; recently I have been on the hunt for some Japanese voice claims for this character. I came across an audio clip and fell in love with the quality of the voice acting. Well, as it turns out, it was Mamoru Miyano; that man has raaaange. I didn't even recognize that it was him, at first! Needless to say, for very good reasons, I cannot use him as a voice claim for the character lol.

Also! I apologize for my tardiness! Work + the holidays have been keeping me away! I appreciate your patience, my darling~!

What was this world coming to if the Shadow King was on the nice list, and the precious Host Club King wasn't?! Without a doubt, he would surely disintegrate into nothing if he ever found out one of the twins made the nice list.
