Yellow solid body with a mahogany base. Black pickguard. Pink Ibanez Quantum pickups. Dual controls / double locking tremolo. Wizard 3 neck, maple wood. Pearl vine pattern on the fretboard. Less expensive than the original JEM but plays and sounds just as smooth. Ideal for heavy shredding (and getting out a lot of anger in the process) but can also play cleaner, more funk or pop-punk oriented tones for a more chill vibe. [ Go here if you want to hear how it sounds. ] It's a highly counterfeited line, but she's managed to get her hands on one that's legit. Not pictured: the RAT distortion pedal she uses when she's feeling particularly moody and wants that 90's grunge sound. (And yes, she picked it specifically because she heard that D.ave G.rohl used that type of pedal.)

Tory as a Slayer is truly such an interesting concept to me because Slayers really get fucked over in terms of personal freedom and the responsibility they’re burdened with from a young age and of course that’s not something Tory can easily accept; it’s detrimental to who she is as a person because she *is* so driven by her desire for freedom and a sense of being in control of her life for once. But at the same time, she actively makes the choice to continue her training and take on the responsibilities of a Slayer because now that she knows what’s out there, she wants to be able to protect her family, so to her it’s a sacrifice she has to make to be able to do that. She would feel guilty if she walked away from it all and something happened to someone she cares about because she decided to turn a blind eye and wasn’t strong enough to do anything to keep them safe.

how does post-s5 tory view kim da-eun?

She’s absolutely terrified of her, even now. Kim broke her both physically and mentally. Silver often tried to get to her by appealing to her sense of ego or gassing her up, but Kim was always about tearing her down, and that got to her on a psychological level because it felt more real to her. She knew what Silver was, how he was dishonest, but Kim? All of her disdain was genuine. A lot of Tory’s anger towards Silver comes from what he did at the tournament and things he’s done to Daniel and Robby. But for Kim, it always felt like she constantly reminded Tory of her shortcomings. Being under Kim’s instruction made her feel suffocated, she wasn’t getting the praise she’d grown accustomed to from Kreese/Silver, and it made her feel neurotic and paranoid and like she wasn’t good enough despite all evidence to the contrary.

Kim broke her down and tried to convince her that it was what she deserved. That the pain was her reward for being herself, and like there was something wrong with her just for having feelings or any sort of perceived fragility. As if Tory deserved to hurt because she was too soft , and Kim was doing Tory a favor trying to “make her strong”. Tory still hasn’t gotten over all of that, and seeing Kim pop up again would definitely elicit a strong reaction from her.

Her favorite ice cream flavor is cookies and cream. Bonus if you crumble up extra Oreo bits on top. Second favorite is cookie dough, and you can’t go wrong with French Vanilla with her.

She does. Tory is naturally a very creative person, but she rarely has the outlet to do anything with that because honestly trying to do anything art-related while living in poverty sucks because she doesn’t have the time or money to dedicate to learning how to be good at anything like that (and supplies are expensive). BUT she does have musical talent, she can sing well and she can play guitar. She’s also super good at impressions / mimicking / etc but I wouldn’t necessarily classify any of that as “artistic”. Definitely contributes to her clown behavior though 😂

Not really? None that I can think of off the top of my head; nothing serious, at least. She does like to make wishes on dandelions though, but it’s not like she *actually* believes it’ll do anything, she just thinks it’s a cute little thing to do.
