 within  two  months  of  being  released  from  highgarden  ,  reila  marries  her  betrothed  ,   rhaegar  ,  and  becomes  a  princess  of  the  south.  she’s  never  been  girly  ,  despite  enjoying  showing  off  and  shocking  people.  her  dress  is  entirely  at  the  insistence  of  narcissa  ,  roslyn  +  aenysa.  it  glitters  with  every  turn  ,  and  is  far  puffier  than  anything  she  has  ever  worn  in  her  entire  life.  the  entire  night  all  she  does  is  complain  about  the  weight  ,  all  but  forgetting  her  discomfort  of  tiaras  with  the  hefty  one  she  wears.

 she  wasn’t  comfortable  outside  of  her  new  home  ,  much  less  in  the  dress  she  was  wearing.  but  reila  gravitated  towards  the  grafton  the  moment  she  spotted  her  ,  seeking  comfort  while  her  husband  was  off.  “  by  the  gods  ,  can  you  help  enlighten  me  on  why  i  let  the  seamstresses  fit  me  into  this  ?  ”  she  asks  with  a  laugh  ,  voice  low  but  amused.  if  she  can’t  love  it  ,  she  may  as  well  laugh  about  it.

𝐑𝐄𝐈𝐋𝐀 𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐑𝐘𝐄𝐍 𝐍𝐄𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐘𝐍

immediately travel’s to king’s landing with rhaegar where she gets thrown into wedding planning. overwhelmed, she leans on those she writes letters to: jeyne, amelira, aenysa, narcissa, lyarra and roslyn. they are all her strength in the chaos, and she attempts to get closer to the rest of those in house targaryen during this time as well. eventually she convinces everyone to allow a small wedding in dragonstone of friends and family (sadly minus those of house forrester). she does not, however, get out of the large puffy dress or the tiara. they are married within two months of leaving highgarden, and spend the remaining month as husband and wife annoying every person in dragonstone (kick everyone out too). she is not adjusted at all to being a princess and so far only doesn’t mind when her husband calls her it.

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐇

immediately takes his wife to the vale, showing her their new home and allowing niamh to throw them a wedding celebration alongside the rest of house arryn. he spends quite a lot of time fussing over narcissa, her bump growing by the day. after the festivities die down, they travel to his clan’s land and have a celebration there to truly bind them as husband and wife in the clan way. they don’t stay long, tharon never stays away from the eyrie for long. they do leave once more to attend the wedding of narcissa’s friend reila in dragonstone. basically spends the entire break fawning over his wife and waiting on her hand and foot.

𝐙𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐘𝐉𝐎𝐘

rather than return to pyke, zara takes her aunt saga’s fleet that is now her’s and begins to sail the coasts of dorne. she brings along her lifelong best friend asha, and the two get up to absolutely no good. they travel across most of the kingdom before going to dragonstone to see her uncle wed with the rest of her family. soon after the wedding they are off again to dorne, quickly finding themselves in sunspear well before the festivities and guests arrive.

𝐎𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐍 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋

travels home to sunspear for a large memorial in honor of the recently fallen ruling princess sita. he’s had time to mourn her loss, news had spread across the kingdom the moment it occurred. oberyn still holds out on finding those responsible , a promise he makes to his people as well. it doesn’t take long for news of a new wife to spread, and he immediately dives into wedding planning as best he can. truly he stands aside and lets his future wife, mother, and olene take control. oberyn does is best to keep the ladies in his life calm and happy under the stress of wedding planning, but mostly does this through gifts. vevienne gets the brunt of it, her wardrobe and tiara collection more than doubling in a mere three months.

𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐍

travels to king’s landing and attempts to pass a new law that will radically change the way things are done within the south. he also pleas his case to have his daughter, pim, legitimized. selina agrees, and he travels to storm’s end where they are to give the news. throughout this time he’s been sending ravens to the new lady tyrell, still intent on getting to the truth about the child he’s certain they share. it’s unsuccessful, but lys is persistent.

𝐕𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐓𝐘𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐋

right before everyone leaves highgarden vareena and mazhar come to an agreement on the future of their daughter elif. they plan to coparent, but soon the realization that the distance between cerwyn and storm’s end dawns on the rose. after a discussion with mateo, they agree to end their betrothal for the sake of elif. instead of traveling north with her future husband, vareena brings elif to storm’s end to bond with her father. while there she grows a friendship in myranda, but is still sore over the broken betrothal even if it was on good terms. you’d never know, the tyrell hides herself very well.

𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐄

travels to starfall initially, then to sunspear to be with her sister. wedding planning is Not her thing, but she tries. mostly watches her niece and nephew and tries to stay out of the way. at some point a blonde lannister visits and drives her up the wall, likely ends up with a stab wound or two and aids her in causing headaches for those of sunspear.

𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐀 𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘

dashes off to dorne the second she is able to. she’s invited her sister aravis for some fun. visits different houses for brief periods of time but doesn’t stay in a single place for long. eventually runs into the traveling party of asha and zara, and ends up starting a fun little dalliance through dorne with the blacktyde. she ends up in sunspear as word of the wedding arrives, and decides to stay.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐎𝐋𝐓𝐎𝐍

remains at edric’s side as his personal guard. visits gulltown for the first time, grumpily walks on beaches and goes into town for pastries with ros when edric needs her distracted. at some point he ends up spilling his guts to his brother eyron as they bond more. he admits his attraction to the princess is deeper but hasn’t said that four letter word he’s so terrified of. he doesn’t see her really in the three months either. leaves the north once to accompany edric and roslyn to the wedding of reila and rhaegar in dragonstone. his entire break is spent ensuring the safety of the prince, celebrating the growth of the other’s love, and getting close to his brother.

 “  i  feel  like  it’s  been  too  long  since  we  did  this.  ”  reila  begins  ,  setting  her  tea  cup  down  as  she  looked  at  roslyn.  the  two  had  clicked  so  well  ,  and  reila  found  herself  selfishly  clinging  to  any  friendship  she  could  make.  she  was  supposed  to  be  befriending  southerners  ,  but  her  heart  was  of  the  north  and  naturally  she  gravitated  towards  them  far  more  than  anyone  else.  “  please  tell  me  you’ve  had  something  interesting  happen.  i’m  so  incredibly  tired  of  talking  of  my  wedding.  ”  not  that  ros  would  do  it  ,  but  anyone  who  brought  up  the  subject  only  ever  focused  on  titles  and  reila  was  tired  of  it.

 “  you  look  beautiful  tonight  ,  my  queen.  ”  it  was  still  quite  awkward  when  she  had  to  address  selina.  family  ,  sisters  ,  but  reila  was  never  too  sure  how  to  speak  to  any  of  the  targaryens.  thus  far  ,  only  nysa  had  prompted  the  new  princess  to  use  her  nickname.  but  reila  was  trying  ,  she  wanted  to  be  as  close  to  her  new  house  as  she  was  to  her  old.

the newly crowned princess steps outside of her comfort zone once more as she’s learning to do slowly. her dress is far more revealing than anything she has ever worn, but when in dorne, right ? her collection of tiaras is slowly growing thanks to nysa and her husband, as well as her dragon like jewelry. she’s still not fully confident, and at times will disappear from the crowds to fiddle with the tiara she’s not used to or question why she chose such a dress, but over all tries to remain at least appearing confident around others. anyone who knows her, though, will know she is still that awkward northern girl despite a change of title and surname.

a million thoughts had come through her mind that this was a bad idea. reila didn’t want to regret it, and she didn’t very much. but she knew how going down this path would lead them further down a road they shouldn’t embark on. a road with an impossible ending. somehow, she still sought out delilah, finding a gown that needed the smallest alterations and was ready that evening. for a lady who never wore dresses, she’d now donned two back to back. perhaps it was a horrible idea, her head certainly said as much, but reila had heard a rumor and it had caused a side of her to make decisions that she normally kept bottled up. it wasn’t right, she knew that, but nothing stopped her. she chose the dress to make an impact, needing to see rhaegar’s reaction even if her mind screamed how bad of an idea it was.

a dark cloak sat atop her form, large enough to cover her head and the dress. she moved through the halls, a ghost in a place she shouldn’t even be. nobody spared her a glance, just another woman bustling about the halls of the keep. it didn’t take long to find where she needed to meet him, and reila pushed open the door to slip in quickly, eyes finding the prince easily. “did you worry i may not show?” she was curious, because he wouldn’t be wrong to think she’d been so tempted to stay in her own rooms. but she doesn’t give him much time to reply, reaching up and untying the cloak to let it cascade to the floor and reveal the dress she’d decided to wear. she probably looked ridiculous, a woman who wore more pants and tunics than anything else, but there she was.

reila hates dressing up, but when she does it’s typically the girliest thing she’ll ever wear for the year. she chooses one outfit for the entire evening, attending both weddings even if she isn’t close to either bride or groom. her dress is a nod to the north, snowflakes sewn into the intricate corset and frost crawling up her abdomen. the color is a stark silver, contrasted by the dark grey of the full skirts that tumble to the floor. a simple silver circlet accents her normally unruly hair, now braided back save a few mismanaged fly aways.

“do you think this means we’ll be able to go home soon?” reila dreams of the snow at this point, of the bedroom that is truly her own and the household full of people she knows rather than this castle with too many people for her liking. she’s still torn up inside, a mess over the betrayal and execution. the only difference is now the girl has a handle on it, no tears escaping her eyes and instead the cracks slowly patching up.

reila’s never been the closest to the starks, though she knew them. her brother had always been the more prominent one, the known one. reila avoided court, avoided winterfell. still, when she spotted lyarra reila’s heart begged her to say something. “princess,” begins she, no clue where her lips will lead her. “i’m so sorry to hear what’s occurred, but grateful your brother has survived.” what?? what even was that? but reila offered a sad smile, because she could only imagine how the other felt.

she’s wandered so far, for once not escaping her guards and simply pacing the halls. reila’s feet have carried her to all corners of the castle, but the door she stops outside is the closest to home. there are too many emotions swelling inside of her soul, so many things she’s never really felt before. and what to do other than seek comfort in family? reila reaches up to wipe her cheeks and then places a hand to knock on the door gently, pushing it open when her brother responds. “mat?” her voice cracks, tone similar to only when she’s suffered the loss of a family member. unfortunately for them both that feeling is all too known.
