Not here to argue, but an important tenet of Batman v Superman is that no matter who you are, even when you're The Batman who has lost all grace and mercy because you've been worn down by a hopeless world, through kindness and compassion of someone else, or even by yourself, you can come back from the darkness and be better, to do better, that evil is not an absolute and a choice you can move past from if you do the effort and the work to be a better person. ( With that said, I think if you want to exist in a world where The Batman doesn't have a body count whether through his action/inaction , then well it is what it is. )

personally i like the thematic resonance more that tragedy comes to anyone, whoever or wherever you from and that injustice has a way of gripping deep into your very soul that it transforms you into something worse or better depending on how deep you let the sickness of revenge take hold of you but there is something still that no matter the path of good intentions evil has a way of snatching you in its clutches and poisoning your legacy -- like there's still good there but like always the only way good perseveres if we keep trying to do good and not let the bad stuff take root and monopolise the world - like its not karmic imabalance so to say -- its just sometimes the good is not enough today but maybe tomorrow it will
