"Let me through! I don't have time for this!"

The voice and hurried footsteps of Serena echos throughout the halls of the guest wing of the Akaba House as the girl moves with purpose. Not even the multitudes of Pandora members could stop her advances, Serena using her acrobatic skills she's honed for years to easily maneuver around them without laying a single scratch. After all, any more damage inflicted upon a member of Pandora or the Rainsworth House would just make the situation even worse than it already was. Though, her reckless actions might end up doing just that if she isn't careful.

Serena was mad, to put it lightly. Without any explanation, Yuri had been evicted from her bedroom last night during a sparing session, accused of poisoning Lady Sharon and thrown into the Akaba House's basement cell like a prisoner. The entire thing was sudden and nonsensical to her. After all, she knows Yuri. She knows he wouldn't be so stupid as to poison anyone from any of the other houses. Furthermore, she knows her father wouldn't be stupid to order him to do such a thing either, not when maintaining relations with the Rainsworth House and Pandora to get them to not peek too deep into his research was a priority of his.

That's why she's decided to go straight to the source of this mess to hopefully straighten it out. And she didn't need anyone to tell her who ordered Yuri's sudden capture. It was clear as day who would do such a thing to her mind, her assumptions quickly being confirmed as she sees that very one-eyed man standing guard in front of the guest room containing the poisoned noble herself with that unassuming cane of his.

"What is the meaning of this, Xerxes Break? Have you gone mad?"

Perhaps he had. The man nicknamed the 'Mad Hatter' by his Pandora colleagues was certainly someone who earned the nickname. He was eccentric to the max, being impossible to read for even the most clever nobles and politicians. It's no wonder he was appointed as the retainer of the heiress of the Rainsworth House. A sweet but sheltered girl like Lady Sharon needed someone who was both intimidating and unpredictable to assist her with her duties.

His reputation didn't scare Serena, however, the young girl standing up to him while also being prepared to battle him if need be. It was clear to her he was upset his mistress had gotten into danger on his watch. Anyone in his position would be. At least...anyone who wasn't her own retainer, who Serena swears would probably laugh if she ever managed to get into any kind of danger. Oh, she can just imagine him taunting her right now...

Worrying about that wouldn't do her any good right now. She had to focus on getting as much information out of Break as possible, both regarding how he came to this conclusion and what evidence there is. After all, if Yuri's dragon nature was revealed, that would spill trouble for everyone that, honestly, she didn't even want to deal with. Serena had enough on her plate as it was with her arranged marriage to Sawatari. She didn't need more crap to deal with.

"I can attest that my retainer was by my side the entire evening last night, both at the event and after. He would have had no chance to sneak off to commit such a crime. While it is true he does work with poisonous plants, they are purely for protection purposes for intruders and are located at the front of the estate, no where near the main house. He would have not been able to go get them without being caught by our guards. Furthermore, I know him very well, and he wouldn't dare act out of line. He's a snake, but a loyal, obedient, rule-following one."

Emerald hues then gaze deep into the single eye of the hatter, Serena doing all she can to make sure the seriousness of her next statements really shone through. "I don't know what you saw to accuse him of such a thing, but I promise you, he did not poison Lady Sharon. I swear it to you on my family name and my personal pride and honor."

"So, I order you to release him...now, Hatter. This isn't up for debate."

Nobles Of Nature AU Lore: The Noble Houses

(Verse developed with and exclusive to Crix’s blogs, aka @masterofaster​​ / @enterpainment​​ / @kinglanius​​ / @hollowedhatter​​ / @abysstainment / @darkoccultism​ )

Throughout the land, there exists a group of noble houses that are tasked with supporting and governing the people who live there. Each house specializes in a different area, having their own strengths and weaknesses. Some houses get along, some do not. Some appear good and are good, but some might have something darker under the surface. 

Akaba House

The Akaba House is headed by Lord Leo Akaba, and specializing in combining magic and technology together. Research is headed by Lord Akaba himself and by his trusted science partner, Dr. Faker. They’ve developed everything from defense systems, to weapons, to practical things that increase the efficiency of everyday life, all done by harnessing the magic that exists in the powers of nature itself. Out of all of the houses, they are by far the biggest and most advanced. They have allieship with the Sawatari House.

The Akaba family is large and diverse, Leo Akaba having had three different wives throughout his time as a lord (including having relationships with multiple at the same time) and having three different sets of gifted children with each one. With his first wife (who is deceased), he had four daughters: Ray, Rin, Serena, and Yuzu. With his second wife (who died a few months prior to the start of the story of this AU and raised her children apart from the main house until her death), he had two children: Shun and Ruri. Lastly, with his third wife Himika, he had two sons: Reiji and Reira. 

The daughters of Leo Akaba were gifted with unique magical gifts relating to a specific aspect of nature. Yuzu with flowers/plants, Rin with wind, Ruri with animals (she is best with birds, through), and lastly, Serena with the moon. The eldest daughter and true heir to the family Ray, on the other hand, has the capacity for magic manipulation of all these aspects, being able to combine them and harness their full power. 

The sons of the family, on the other hand, were not gifted with magical abilities. Reiji Akaba inherited his father’s intelligence and affinity for science, usually being seen locked in his room doing his research. Reira was also gifted in intelligence and raw instinct, but is very shy and is rarely seen away from Reiji’s side. Shun is gifted in the physical sense, being the strongest physically and quiet adept at at combat with both weapons and physical combat. He developed these skills to protect his younger innocent sister Ruri, who in his eyes is the only remaining family he has since he does not share the familial bond with his half siblings.

Each of the children have a retainer assigned to them to look after and protect them. Shun’s retainer is Dr. Faker’s son Kaito, whose main job consists of keeping the young master from causing havoc with his anger management issues and violent tendencies. Reiji’s retainer is Nakjima, a quiet, strong, and loyal man who will follow Reiji’s orders without question. Reira’s retainer is Haruto, the youngest son of Dr. Faker. Though, Haruto acts more as Reira’s friend than anything else, both children having bonded due to their similarities and quiet natures.

The retainers of the daughters of the house are quiet unique, being a set of five brothers who are dragons hidden by a magical disguise produced by enchanted jewelry worn by each respective lady. Their existence as dragons is kept secret under orders of Lord Akaba for reasons unknown to everyone but the man himself.  They were all given this task when the five brothers were spared by the family after causing a massive rampage across many towns and villages that the daughters of the house stopped. This rampage was started by the eldest brother Zarc, an alpha dragon whose connection runs deep with his little brothers Yuto, Yuri, Yugo, and Yuya. 

Due to being the most destructive of the five dragons, he was assigned to the eldest and most experienced daughter Ray. He was stubborn about accepting his position at first, especially with Ray refusing to give him any orders for the first few months. However, with Ray’s help, he eventually settles in, realizing his own faults regarding how he viewed his brothers like they were still babies, and begins to take a liking to his new mistress.

The second eldest, Yuto, was assigned to Lady Ruri. He has a dark, brooding, and frightening exterior according to his brothers, but he is noble, quiet, and very gentle hearted. His outward appearance did not scare his lady, however. In fact, she treated him and continues to treat him with kindness, the opposite approach to her protective brother Shun who threatened Yuto on his first day. Shun eventually became to respect Yuto when he saved his little sister from harm, and has grown a strong kindship with the young dragon. Yuto can often be found in the house gardens with Lady Ruri, her brother and his retainer, or on occasion one of the heirs of a noble family associated with the Akaba Clan: Lady Sayaka and her retainer Allen.

The third eldest, the playful and poisonous dragon Yuri, was assigned to Lady Serena. Similar to the situation was Zarc, he was chosen to be with Serena due to her being the most combat experienced out of her sisters. He follows orders better than any of his brothers, and is the most formal. However, he is also the one who will mess with his mistress more than any of the others. Serena, not at all happy with this arrangement, usually tells him to leave her be. If he is at her side, it is usually on her father’s orders not her own. If not, he can be found in the house’s gardens creating toxic plant life to use as security. 

The second youngest, Yugo, was assigned to Lady Rin. Aside from the protective aspect of his position, he sucks at his job. He is not formal at all, often doesn’t listen, and gets himself into trouble more often than not. This has caused Rin to be more of a caretaker to him rather than the other way around, but she doesn’t mind it despite the annoyance. Yugo brings her companionship, and is just too darn kind and adorable to get mad at for long. They are a pair who got along relatively quickly.

The youngest, Yuya, was assigned to Lady Yuzu. A dragon with duel-colored eyes, Yuya is a natural born entertainer. Yuzu, who very much had an entertainment related hobby in singing, instantly got along with the young dragon. Out of all the pairs, they got along the fastest. They can be seen having fun together in all sorts of ways, smiles never leaving their faces. Though, Yuzu is not afraid to whip out her fan if Yuya takes a joke too far or does something stupid.

Sawatari House

The Sawatari House is headed by Lord Sawatari, and is the smallest house by far. However, what they lack in size they make up in funds. The Sawatari House is by far the richest of all the houses, and deals with the land’s economy. Because of this, they tend to be the house everyone wants to ally with. Currently, they are only allied with the Akaba House due to an arranged marriage between the Sawatari heir Lord Shingo and the third eldest daughter of the Akaba House, Lady Serena.

Lady Serena is 100% opposed to the marriage, while Lord Shingo is all for it. He’s been in love with her ever since they met, and he’s determined to marry her at any cost. Though, with the recent introduction of Yuri, that might make things more difficult. In fact, he feels jealousy towards the retainer, so much so he would no doubt like to get rid of him to have Serena all to himself...

Eden House

The Eden House is headed by Lady Eve, and is the house most loved by the public due to their charity. They are dedicated to helping the lives of the commoners, opening up several orphanages, soup kitchens, and shelters for those in need. Lady Eve truly believes in helping others, wanting to bring salvation and hope to those who do not have any. Some see her as a goddess and or a savior. However, her direct involvement in such affairs is limited due to an unknown illness she had been inflicted with several years ago, causing horrible wrinkles to appear across the left side of her face. She is often bedridden in a medical ward headed by Issac for large parts of the day. 

Her inner circle consists of herself, Issac, Ren, Sora, and her love Adam. Adam, much like Zarc, is an alpha dragon with extraordinary power. He too hides his dragonic appearance using enchanted jewelry, something Eve had gotten as a gift from her late sister: Leo Akaba’s first wife. He acts as Eve’s retainer, their love being kept a secret to everyone outside the inner circle. Adam, similar to Yuya, is a performer, often performing magic tricks and taking on any role Eve would desire. His devotion to her and her mission to help the world is unmatched.

He also has a past with Zarc that he keeps hidden, being the only person outside of the Akaba House to know of Zarc and his brother’s true identities as dragons...

Rainsworth House

The Rainsworth House is headed by Lady Sheryl Rainsworth and Lord Barma, and is the house specializing in espionage and information gathering. This means they are experts of knowing what is going on with the other houses and the world at large. They have the most extensive library in the land with just about any book you could think of, making them a prime resource for anyone wanting to study anything. However, of the houses, they are the most isolated of the houses, only really leaving their area to gather information or to maintain relations. 

The heir to the house is one Sharon Rainsworth, a strong, kind, and intelligent young lady who is the granddaughter of Lady Sheryl. She lost her mother Shelly due to illness not so long ago, and as a result of that, decided to take on a contract with a creature known as Equus. You see, the Rainsworth House is much like all of the houses in that they contain a secret power. They hold the power to access a realm known as the Abyss, a mysterious prison home to creatures known as Chains who can make contracts with humans to allow use of their powers. 

Sharon, her grandmother, Lord Barma, her retainer Break, Glibert Nightray, Reim Lunnetes, and Oz Vessalius are the only people in the house who have a known contract with a Chain. Unlike the Akaba and Eden houses, the Rainsworth House has made the existence of the Chains known to the other houses. However, the knowledge the other houses have about the Chains and contractors is limited. This is because to keep power balanced between the houses, all the supernatural power one house has is to be made public. Ryou Bakura is also a member of this house, as well.

Dragon Star House

The Dragon Star House is officially headed is headed by Lord Jack Atlas, but internally is managed by the bearer of the mark of the Dragon Head: Lord Yusei Fudo. This house is one focused on maintaining order and justice between the other houses as well as the people. Essentially, they are the central governing body of the houses. This makes them both a desired ally, or hatred enemy for some. 

The heads of the house are a group of individuals known as the Signers, six people born with birthmarks of the legendary beast of legend: The Crimson Dragon. These marks pass on through the generations, and as of now, the current Signers are: Jack Atlas, Yusei Fudo, Crow Hogan, Aki Izayoi, and the twins Rua and Ruka. Their status as Signers allows them to form special bonds with legendary dragons who serve the Crimson Dragon. 

Jack has bonded with Red Dragon Archfiend. Yusei has bonded with Stardust Dragon. Crow has bonded with Black Winged Dragon. Aki has bonded with Black Rose Dragon. Rua has bonded with Life Stream Dragon, and Ruka has bonded with Ancient Fairy Dragon. These dragons are well known throughout the land, some seeing them as guardian deities. They also are the reason most do not want to mess with the Dragon Star house.

The Dragon Star House’s main adversary is the Earthbound House, home of the Dark Signers. They have been in conflict with the Dragon Star house for generations due to the Dark Signer’s deities, the Earthbound Immortals, being the mortal foes of the Crimson Dragon. The Signers will stop at nothing to ensure the safety of the land from the Dark Signers. However, a wrench is thrown into that when a new maid of the Dragon Star House, a girl named Carly, ends up forming a strong connection with Jack Atlas...

Earthbound House

Last but not least, the Earthbound House is lead by the brothers Lord Rudger and Rex Godwin. They are the shadiest of all the noble houses, and do not do anything to benefit society. No, instead they have a secret society full of followers who worship the Earthbound Immortals, dead gods hell bent on destroying the Signers and turning this world into ruin. The Earthbound Immortals envoys are the Dark Signers, who have birthmarks of the immortals etched onto their arm that have been passed down through the generations.

The current Dark Signers are Rudger Godwin, Roman Godwin, Kiryu Kyosuke, Demak, Bomber, Misty Lola, and Carly Nagisa. They bear the marks of the spider, condor, giant, monkey, whale, lizard, and hummingbird respectively. In order to fuel the rebirth of the Earthbound Immortals trapped inside seals in the ground by the Crimson Dragon, they plan to harvest the energy of their followers when the time is right. They also have decided to send in someone to spy and trip up the signers, using their powers to make them lose their memory until the time comes to trigger it back...

Her reaction to the developing situation was unexpected. Ever since the day Yuri had been first assigned as her retainer, Serena has wanted nothing more than to be rid of him. She didn’t need or want someone constantly watching over her, especially when her activities would be reported back to her father. It felt suffocating. At least...at first it did. 

Over time, she’s grown to...tolerate him. No, that’s not the right word. Appreciate would be more accurate. He still got on her nerves, that attitude of his always making her short temper flare. However, during her long nights of training, it was...pleasant to have company. Yuri stayed out of her way when asked, lent his ear to her frustrations, and even was a suitable sparing partner. It was if he too wanted to be at her side, for more than just the orders of the head of the Akaba family.

And now...her nights had become quiet once again with him locked behind bars for the time being. Having the heir to the Rainsworth house be poisoned after Ray’s gala was certainly unexpected, and of course, unfortunately Yuri was the prime suspect. Even if his identify as a venomous dragon was kept secret to only a select few, everyone pretty much knew he was the reason poisonous plants now lined parts of the estate. Not only that, he had made a little quip to Lady Rainsworth upon their first meeting, giving him a possible motivation to attack her. 

But Serena knew better than to believe he’d do this. In her time with him, she’s seen how he follows protocol to the letter. In fact, he followed it better than some of the staff the girl’s known her entire life. There was no way he’d bring harm to a guest without an order, and her father wouldn’t be so foolish as to try and mess with the Rainsworth house, either. His research relied on the knowledge from their library. If anything, this put the Akaba family into conflict with them, since Sharon’s own retainer Break was the one to accuse Yuri and foster this whole thing in the first place.

Yuri didn’t do it. That much was certain to Serena, especially after knowing exactly where he had been during the entire event. There would have been no opportunity for him to even attempt to strike, and yet no one took her words into consideration. Now, the questions were who did it, and how she was going to prove his innocence. 

These questions were what she had been discussing with the prisoner, managing to sneak her way down to the dungeon cell they had trapped him in deep beneath the estate. Seeing him like that, bound like an animal and not a person, felt...wrong. Yuri and his brothers were not human beings. However, they were not mindless animals either. They were individuals with autonomy and feelings. The only difference between them and her family were their dragonic features when the cloaking spell was broken. That was it in her eyes.

As the she feels the time between the two start to fade, hearing the clock strike seven and signaling the end of visiting hours, Serena is caught off guard by a surpassingly gentle grasp of his hands on her own. Emerald hues stare into magenta ones next. His eyes convey more than words ever could as to how he was feeling in this moment, and Serena would respond to those feelings in kind. 

“I’m going to get you out of here. Dragon or not, you don’t deserve to be locked up for a crime you didn’t commit.” The girl swears, her own hands moving to clasp his back tightly. “And when I find out who actually poisoned Sharon and put us through this mess, they will experience a pain more devastating than any toxin.”

Serena then lets go of him, standing to her feet to begin her assent back upstairs. With her back turned, she stops before the first step to say one final thing to him. “If anyone is going to dismiss you from your duties, it will be me. Whether I wanted it or not, I’m your mistress and you’re my retainer. That means I have a responsibility to protect those who stand at my side. Just be sure to not die on me until I prove your innocence. You got that, Yuri?”

❝ T-that horrid retainer of yours-- he bit me! ❞ Shingo looks horrified as he pulls his sleeve up, and sure enough there was a rather perfect arc of teeth-impressions decorating his forearm. A bruise was sure to form, but it looked as if Yuri held back at the very least, as there was seemingly no broken skin. A warning gnaw, perhaps? ❝ He is far too unprofessional to be serving you, I'll have him fired, I swear it!! ❞ [Nobles, @ Serena ]

Irritation crosses her face as soon as the annoying voice of the Sawatari bratt reaches her ears, ruining Serena’s afternoon meditation near the pond in the Akaba House’s expansive garden. He always had a way of showing up during the worst of times, another instance of her unfortunately luck when it came to the game of life. When was she finally going to get what she deserved for putting up with this much, like her sisters Yuzu, Rin, and Ruri seemed to have been getting as they have bonded with their dragonic retainers?

At this point in the game, the chances of that seemed slim to none. How fantastic...

“I told you to stay away from him, didn’t I? It’s your fault you got bit, idiot.” Serena responds, not feeling the least bit of sympathy for his minor injury. She’s come to know Yuri enough that he wouldn’t just bite without a reason, much like she wouldn’t just hit someone without a good reason. There was a method to their ��madness’ as one might say, even if others saw that kind of behavior as barbaric like Shingo here. 

If she had to guess as to what happened, the noble probably trampled over or tried to pick flowers in the dragon’s ever growing poisonous garden near the house’s entrance. That area her father had set aside for him to grow and breed plants for protection purposes, and if she’s come to learn anything about Yuri, is that he was very attached to that place. In fact, only she and her father had access to it at any time. 

Though, perhaps that’s only because they were the two people brave enough to get near plants that could kill them on contact.

“Good luck with that.” Sarcasim seeps into her tone, Serena not at all acting like a noble daughter of the Akaba House should. Then again, when did she ever care about that? When did any of the children in the house care about that, other than their father’s favorite Ray? It’s not like they had any sort of family pride, not when they didn’t really feel like members of a family but rather tools to suit the ends of a egotistical maniac of a noble scientist...

“My father assigned him to me, and despite my protests and attempts, has yet to remove him from my life. Just like he’s yet to remove you from my life despite knowing full well how much I despise you and your family.”

She couldn’t believe this. She couldn’t believe her father was forcing her to go on an outing with the Sawatari family, the family she had been arranged to marry into in the future. It was no secret Serena opposed the arranged marriage. The girl had made that clear the second she found out, and constantly made it clear since. Why did they have to pick her for this? Didn’t they know she wasn’t interested in romance, politics, or anything of the sort? And yet they want to force her to marry into the richest of the houses just so her father could use their resources to fund his research? How was that fair?!

It wasn’t. Not at all. And it was the day she was told she would wed Shingo Sawatari her itense hatred for her father Leo Akaba began, a hatred only matched by her elder half-brother Reiji and estranged half-brother Shun. 

Emerlad hues glared out the window of the carriage she was traveling in. Lord Seawater decided to get a private coach for just Serena and her fiancé to ride in, even if that wasn’t necessary in the slightest. Guess they really loved flaunting their money wherever possible, the act making her roll her eyes. She ignored any instance of Shingo trying to start a conversation with her. The last thing she wanted was to talk to him, especially since he had made his own declarations about his feelings for her and how he was happy with their arrangement rather obvious. It would at least be more tolerable if they both hated the situation their parents forced them into, but of course, she wasn’t given that luxury. Serena always seemed to get the worst of it, a trend that would continue as she grew older...

The coach then suddenly stops after arriving at their destination. She had been taken to the local theatre that was sponsored by the Sawatari House for the opening night of a new ballet production. The family apparently had an intense love of the arts. Their affinity for them made sense to the blue-haired maiden considering they were a bunch of clowns in her eyes. Seriously, wouldn’t Yuzu be better suited this? Out of her sisters, she was the most artsy. The only art Serena cared about was the art of combat.

Emerald hues look up as the door to the carriage opens, Shingo having jumped out first. As she moves to exit herself, she is suddenly caught off guard by his grabbing of her hand. Seems like he wanted to be a gentlemen and help the young lady down, a display that showed the Sawatari was well educated in the manners of etiquette. To any common noble, this would be an appreciated gesture that shined on the person’s character. However, Serena Akaba was far from a common noble, rudely moving to slap his hand away rather roughly.  

“Don’t touch me, Clown! I don’t need your help! Do I look helpless to you?” The Akaba snaps, jumping down from the carriage herself and began walking towards the entrance without him. Who cares if what she was doing was rude? In fact, that might scare the Sawatari family to the point where they call the marriage off. Though, she is sure it won’t be that easy. “If you’re smart, you’ll just stay away from me. I want nothing to do with you, and I never will.”

❝ You know... I could make it look like an accident, Serena. ❞ Yuri muses aloud, speaking out to announce his presence to Serena as she rounded the corner he knew she’d very well be taking. She, as well as the rest of her younger sisters, had just finished their lessons for the day. And he, who had nothing better to do that day then watch them, bore witness to the tiresome methods of their instructor for hours on end. And needless to say it irked him enough to offer his mistress a solution of his. ❝ That instructor of yours... could use a few lessons themselves. Since you continue to subject yourself to unnecessary insults and abuse, mistress, I take it as you won’t silence them yourself? ❞

Today’s full day of dance lessons had been unbearable for pretty much all of the Akaba children, and Serena was no exception. She was someone who never liked holding back her skills. No, in fact she showed great pride whenever she was able to show them off to others. However, that was not the case when it came today. It was sadly an opportunity she had to pass up on, Serena making a fool out of herself in front of everyone on purpose.

Similar to her younger sister Yuzu, Serena possessed a hidden talent she kept hidden from the world. Dancing had come as naturally to her as fighting, and was something she enjoyed practicing in secret as a guilty pleasure of sorts. Only Yuzu and unfortunately now Yuri knew she possessed such a thing, and that’s only because they both walked in on her doing so without her notice. Regardless, it was a talent she was forced to keep hidden to prevent her father from exploiting her more than he already had.

It was no secret that the only reason she was put into the arranged marriage with Shingo Sawatari was because not only did he take a shine to her since they were young, but also was the one her father knew could keep the Sawatari’s under her thumb and thus the thumb of Lord Akaba himself. Yuzu, Rin, and Ruri were all too kind for such a mission, and with Ray set to take over the Akaba House very soon, only left the middle child to be the bride of the blonde noble. Serena can only imagine what else her father would force her into if he learned she was a skilled dancer, thus fueling her desire to keep it secret and not arouse suspicion by dancing as if she had two left feet earlier.

She left the room in a huff, her knees and arms bruised from the amount of falls she took. They would heal soon enough, but essentially allowing herself to be knocked around by making wrong moves and letting the strict teacher scold her was as humiliating as it was irritating. All the girl wanted to do was go vent out her frustrations with some late night training. There were some dead plants in the garden that needed to be removed, anyway.

Though, it seems like Yuri might have other plans. His sudden appearance from behind the corner catches her off guard, Serena taking a light step back in response. Emerald hues then blink for a moment, taking a moment to register what he is saying. Quickly after her teeth grit harshly, the girl grabs his hand, dragging the dragon boy towards her chambers with all the speed she can muster. Serena doesn’t care about the looks others are giving her right now. She had to get herself and Yuri into a secure location. She had to make sure no one was listening or watching what she is about to do next.

“Bastard!” The noble shouts, pushing Yuri into the room with enough force to knock him to the ground. Her feet quickly step on his legs to hold him in place. A flick of her wrist comes next, a blade of moonlight suddenly manifesting that she then proceeds to point at his throat. Serena was thankful that the night was upon them and her magic was fully available for her to use. “I ordered you to never say anything that could give away my secret in a public setting especially something you already damm well know the answer to! I thought I made that perfectly clear the night you found out! I’m this close to slitting your throat!”

Serena then begins to pant then as her free hand curls into a first, the exhaustion of the day and the tension in the air seeming to catch up to her. However, she refused to show weakness towards her own servant. She already had to look pathetic all day already. Though, if Yuri could see it through the darkness of her bedroom, he might find a red blush had appeared across her cheeks.

“And why...why did you call me by my name like that?! You’ve never done so before, not even with my title, and yet you do it in public?! Near my siblings no less!? Is this another sick prank of yours to piss me off, or are you trying to insulate we are on such casual terms with one another, Snake Breath?!”
