no matter how quiet izana may speak, or how softly his voice may hit shion's ears, his words always ring deep within them. despite his cockiness, the blonde's fervorous flame is easily snuffed out by a simple question posed by his leader: `` what the hell did you think would happen? ``

well, that's the rub, isn't it? shion doesn't do much thinking before flying into things, and even when he does, they never end up in his favor. despite how often these unfortunate occurrences take place, shion has never seemed to learn his lesson from them. heaven forbid a man who was once renowned for his title—even if it was merely carried to infamy by the reputation of his predecessors—be cautious when dashing into fights.

“ uh . . . ”

shion's head hangs low, and his blonde hair shields a face that would only compliment such an abysmal sight. his nose is bloodied, though hopefully not broken. the blood skips trickling down his lips and chin, instead falling to the floor with slow, steady drops.

“ that i'd win? what else? ” he answers, drawling out his words as if he's inconvenienced by the question. the embers of the fire are flickering to life, it would seem.
